PUSTAKALOKA is published twice annually (June and December) by the journal editors from the Library IAIN Ponorogo in cooperation with the Asosiasi Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi Islam (APPTIS) Jawa Timur. Every received article will be reviewed by the journal editors and external editors and reviewers who are competent in each related field. The review uses double-blind peer review before the journal is published. PUSTAKALOKA will publish selected paper under a Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 4.0 International License. Student Behavior In Utilization Internet Of Library Based On Information Aprih Santoso

The research objective is to examine the effect of social factors on intention and their impact on student behavior in utilization internet of library as an information media. The method used is the survey method by distributing questionnaires. The research data obtained is based on the perception student of Universitas Semarang students on the utilization internet of library carried out by the Universitas Semarang Library as a student information media, with 95 respondents. The research method uses validity test, reliability test, and classic assumption test, hypothesis test, multiple linear regression model (path analysis) with SPSS 23 program.The results of testing social factors directly and indirectly through the intention in using internet of library do not effect on student behavior in utilization internet of library carried out by Universitas Semarang students as their information media

Problematika pengembangan kepustakaan Islam: studi kasus di empat perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN) Jawa Timur Mufid Mufid; Ari Zuntriana

Introduction. This study aims to examine the Islamic collection development process conducted by 4 (four) Islamic universities’ libraries in East Java, including selection criteria and tools, the use of the collection, and challenges faced by the librarian Data Collection Method. Using a mixed-methods approach with surveys and interviews, four head of libraries and 338 students participated in this research. Analysis Data. Data from the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis method while the qualitative data from interviews were analyzed using the thematic analysis technique. Results and Discussions. The results showed that the libraries did not have any written collection development policies. The four libraries have used the right selection tools, but most of them have not utilized reviews of books based on online sources and social media. At present, the four libraries have not had any special subjects which potentially emerged as a distinction of the libraries’ collection. Nevertheless, there has been a plan to develop such a special subject of Islamic collection. The use of Islamic literature collections among students were considered in medium level of use. The challenges in developing Islamic literature collections are sourced both from internal and external sources. Internally, the library has not evaluated their collection development policies. While the low participation of lecturers in the development of library collections emerged as obstacles from external sources. Conclusions. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the libraries involved in this study still needs improvements in some areas.

Pemanfaatan Google Custom Search Untuk Pencarian Satu Pintu Koleksi Perpustakaan BPPT Putri Ayu Pramesti

The Library of Technology Assessment and Application has several collection repositories that are stored on different applications and servers. In searching for collections that are needed, users must search for in each application. There is not yet a single way to search all of this content at once, therefore required a single way searching through all repositories so that users can easily find the information needed. In this study, the Google Custom Search plugin was used to build a one-door search portal, so users can search collections in multiple repositories through single way. The results showed that this plugin can be used to build a one-door search portal. The use of the Google Custom Search plugin is easy and simple. The results of the search showed collections from each repository according to the keywords entered.

This study aims to make a citation analysis of the scientific paper of a IAIN Purwokerto lecturer that has been published in an internal journal within three years (2015-2017). Using a quantitative approach is bibliometrics, a branch of library science that deals with statistics (mathematics). The population is all literature cited in scientific paper by the IAIN Purwokerto lecturers. Sampling of all lecturers' scientific papers that have been published in the journals Ibda, Almanahij, JPA, el-Jizya, Communica and Insania (6 journals) at 2015-2017. The data was obtained from the bibliography (citation) of the scientific paper of lecturers who had cited a number of 3,460 literature. The results of this study indicate that the form of literature that is widely cited is in the form of books (73.06%), the half-life of the literature is 13.5 years, and the availability of collections in the library is 54.42%. In addition, there are still alternative titles / library collection that make it possible to become an alternative reference material, namely a number of 156 library collection. It is recommended to lecturers in the IAIN Purwokerto environment to take part in the reference manager training, namely the application of writing citations (such as zotero or mendeley) so that writing of citation is more basic. This study recommends that an advanced bibliometric study be carried out, to dig deeper into the scientific paper of the IAIN Purwokerto academic community.

This research describes about the usability evaluation of SIMPERTAN application at PUSTAKA Bogor. SIMPERTAN is a web-based application that was developed by PUSTAKA to integrate the process of procurement, organize, service and circulation of library materials and became the union catalog for the PUSTAKA and the Library Institution in Balitbangtan scope. However, the usability of this application is still not optimal because Librarians at PUSTAKA still use other applications, such as WinISIS. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate how the usability of SIMPERTAN applications by librarians in PUSTAKA and the Library Institution in Balitbangtan scope under the guidance of LITERATURE in the Bogor region. This study uses quantitative approaches with quantitative descriptive methods. Data collection is done by survey method using a questionnaire. The results showed that the usability of SIMPERTAN application was in the high category. But there were a number of obstacles from the technical, system and librarian aspects, thus making SIMPERTAN usability less optimal.

Reading media as tools to convey information has undergone physical radical changes. Since the invention of the printing press in the 15th century, until the digital revolution in the 1980s, the habits of reading people have undergone many changes. In the past people had to buy reading media in print, nowadays only by downloading files in digital format, someone can already do reading activities on cellphones, tablets, and computers. No exception for the habit of reading academic material on students, several studies show a tendency for student preferences in reading academic material in digital format rather than in printed format. This study examined the preferences of the graduate students in University of Indonesia in reading academic reading materials such as textbooks and scientific journals. An online questionnaire used to collect data and 68 graduate students participated in this study.The results of the study show that although postgraduate students prefer digital formats, the print format is more convenient and make them more focused on reading.

Library as a centre for information resources is the backbone of the progress of an educational institution. Imbalance between the use of information retrieval system facilities advance search and a quick search of the catalogue are very common in a search. This study was aimed to know and to describe how the precision of information retrieval system by using title field and subject on OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) ) at Muhammaddiyah University Library of Bengkulu is effective as an information retrieval system. This study was a quantitative descriptive study using analytical methods. The technique of data collection in this study was by using trace observation on the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC). The study was carried out by using the title of the names of study programs and the subject to study program as the study sample a mounted to 206. Sample were taken by using purposive sampling techniques. The result of the study showed that search using advanced search features by using the section title of sociology subject obtained a precision marks of 0,98 while the use of advanced search features by using biology education subject obtainrd precision mark of 0,66. The use of quick search feature by using the sociology subjects get a precision marks of 0,98 while the use of quick search feature by using biology education subject obtained a precision marks of 0,99. The testing on the four search shows that the quick search and advanced search features in the title and subject are in the average range of 0,90 so it is said that the search system of OPAC at Muhammadiyah University Library of Bengkulu is effective as an information retrieval system.

Konsep dan Praktik Literasi Informasi Untuk Mahasiswa: Kasus Mahasiswa Pekerja Paruh Waktu di UPT Perpustakaan UIN Walisongo Bahrul Ulumi

This article reveals the pratice of information literacy done by students writing final project and working as part time workers at main library. It employs qualitattive approach which is considered the appropriate method to explore how these students implement their information skills to takle their final duties. The research shows that they partially comprehend the concept of information since they actively took part only in library orientation, as a result, they just a bit know about the concept of information ethics, although they are able to correctly finish their final works.
