Abstract

This study aims to produce an interactive multimedia Articulate Storyline 3 (PBL) based on science learning in grade IV elementary schools that is valid, practical and also effective. This type of research is development research (R&D) using the ADDIE model which has five steps, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The developed learning media was validated by the validator and the practicality of the product was tested by filling out the teacher's and student's response questionnaires. The results of the science learning media research obtained a very valid category with a validity level of 90% for the media aspect, 84% for the material aspect, and 90% for the language aspect. The results of teacher and student responses in research schools show that the use of interactive multimedia Articulate Storyline 3 is very practical with a percentage of teacher responses of 98% and 97.8% of students. The results of the effectiveness of learning media show very effective results with an increase in the percentage of student learning outcomes of 86.08% and 92% completeness. It can be concluded that Articulate Storyline 3-based interactive multimedia (PBL) in science learning in class IV elementary school has been declared valid, practical, and effective for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of reading fluently by students who were still unable to use pauses in class II of elementary school. In fact, some students still cannot read. This research aims to describe improving the ability to read fluently using pauses using the Oral Reading Fluency (ORF) model for class II students at SDN 20 Indarung, Padang City. This type of research is classroom action research, using qualitative and quantitative approaches. Research procedures consist of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were class II students at SDN 20 Indarung, Padang City. The data sources for this research are the learning process (observation of activities or behaviour of teachers and students) and fluent reading ability using the Oral Reading Fluency (ORF) model. The results of the study showed an increase in the ability to read fluently at of class II students. Previously, students had not been able to use pauses in reading. After implementing the Oral Reading Fluency model, students' ability to read fluently has increased. More than half of the students can make pauses between phrases, pauses between clauses, pauses between utterances, pauses between sentences, and pauses without punctuation.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an e-module for Visual Arts education in primary schools that is reliable, feasible, and impactful. The study context encompasses the integration of information technology by educators in schools, shortcomings in creating engaging and interactive learning materials, and the absence of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) frameworks in electronic module design. Moreover, educational institutions have yet to implement learning methodologies that align with technological advancements, such as Blended Learning approaches. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) methodology based on the ADDIE model, the research findings reveal that the Visual Arts e-module for fourth-grade students attains a content validity of 95%, media validity of 81.25%, and language validity of 96%. In surveyed schools, teachers responded 97.5%, while students responded 97.1%. Notably, there is a significant enhancement in artwork outcomes and user-friendliness of the media, with an increase from 85.3% to 95.3%, signifying substantial achievement. Thus, the PjBL-centered e-module for Visual Arts education in fourth-grade primary schools is reliable, feasible, and impactful for educational purposes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there is a lack of innovation in teaching materials that use technology in Music Arts in class IV elementary schools. This research aims to produce multimedia-assisted teaching materials using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model with a Blended Learning system that is valid, practical and effective for application to the learning process. The type of research used is development research (R&D) with the ADDILE model which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The subjects of this research were class IV student students at SDN 14 Tanjung Beringin, Pasaman Regency. Data from this research were obtained from validation sheets, practicality sheets and pretest-posttest scores. The results of the validation sheet for material experts were 89.58%, language experts 100%, and media experts 90.62% in the very valid category. Meanwhile, the teacher response practicality sheet was 98% and the student response sheet was 100% with very practical categories. The use of multimedia-assisted teaching materials increases student learning outcomes based on pretest-posttest scores from 74% to 94%. Thus, it can be concluded that multimedia-assisted teaching materials are very valid and very practical to use during the learning process.

Abstract

Project-based learning in elementary schools is still rarely carried out and learning does not yet provide opportunities for students to collaborate in order to achieve goals well. The solution to overcome this requires a comprehensive understanding of the project. This study was conducted to explain the implementation of the Strengthening Student Pancasila Profile Project (P5) with the theme of Entrepreneurship at SDN 10 Bandar Buat. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. It utilises two types of data: primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the School Principal, P5 Coordinator, and Grade IV Teachers, as well as observations. Secondary data were obtained through documentation studies and field notes. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of P5 with the theme of Entrepreneurship at SDN 10 Bandar Buat runs smoothly and receives positive responses from students. P5 activities are able to enhance entrepreneurial spirit and cooperation among students, as well as increase creativity. However, it needs improvement in terms of duration to make the entrepreneurial experience for students more meaningful.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still many students who are not able to speak in front of the class to convey their opinions. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on speaking skills in class IV Elementary School Region II Pauh District, Padang City. This research is quantitative, using a pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique is a random sampling technique. Two sample classes were selected, each of which will be used as an experimental class and a control class. The learning being compared is learning using the Discovery Learning model with learning using a conventional approach. The data collection technique uses performance test instruments. The test is assessed with the help of a speaking skills assessment rubric. Data were analyzed using the t-test. The results obtained are tcount = 2.753 and ttable = 2.006 so that tcount > ttable, namely 2.753 > 2.006, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a influence in the speaking skills of students who are taught using the Discovery Learning model and the speaking skills of students who are taught using conventional learning in class IV Elementary School Region II Pauh District, Padang City.
