Abstract

Insufficient sleep poses a big public health challenge, exerting profound results on physical health, cognitive feature, emotional well-being, and social properly-being. This qualitative study aimed to discover the perceptions of insufficient sleep, its impact on body health, coping mechanisms, and implications for intervention and public health. Through semi-based interviews and thematic analysis, facts had been accumulated from a purposive pattern of 20 contributors recruited from diverse backgrounds. The findings revealed multifaceted perceptions of inadequate sleep, which includes frustration, resignation, and cultural affects on sleep norms. Insufficient sleep became related to heightened susceptibility to cardiovascular issues, metabolic dysregulation, and immune dysfunction. Participants reported cognitive impairments, temper disturbances, and challenges in interpersonal relationships. Coping mechanisms protected mindfulness practices, relaxation techniques, and adherence to sleep hygiene standards. Implications for intervention and public fitness underscored the importance of raising recognition, integrating sleep assessment into scientific exercise, addressing social determinants of sleep health, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations. By prioritizing sleep health and enforcing proof-based interventions, stakeholders can mitigate the load of sleep-related disorders and sell ultimate well-being for individuals and communities.

Abstract

Anxiety is an uncomfortable feeling of powerlessness caused by unpleasant new experiences, resulting in tension, agtation, and loss of control due to subjective judgment. Anxiety often occurs in patients undergoing surgical procedures. The prevalence of anxiety in Indonesia in preoperative patients ranges from 45% to 75%. This piroves that the majority of paitents undergoing surgery expierience anxiety. One way to alleviate anxiety is through relaxation distraction techniques, such as instrumental usic therapy. The effects of instrumental music therapy include reducing stress and anxiety, as well as improving concentration. The statistical test results obtained a significance value oif 0.00 < p 0.05, indicating a significiant difference in the level of preoperative patient anxiety before and after being given instrumental music therapy intervention. Thus, it can be concluded that instrumental music therapy affects the level of preoperative patient anxiety at Imanuel Hospital Bandar Lampung. Suggestions for Imanuel Hospital are to implement instrumental music therapy as one of the nursing interventions to reduce anxiety in preoperative patients. With the provision of instrumental music therapy, it is hoped that patients undergoing surgery will feel calmer, allowing the surgical procedure to proceed simoothly and effectively.

Abstract

Acne vulgaris is chronic inflammation of the sebaceous glands. Many factors cause acne vulgaris, one of which is sleep quality. Poor sleep quality will cause an increase in androgen hormones which are associated with an increase in the incidence of acne vulgaris. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between sleep quality and the severity of Acne vulgaris in students aged 17-21 years. This research is an analytical observational research with a cross-sectional method and sampling using a purposive sampling method. Research instruments using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire and the severity of acne vulgaris using the Lehmann classification. The result showed that of the 70 samples collected, there were 9 men and 61 women. There were 30 people with mild degree acne, 37 people with moderate degree and 3 people with severe degree. Based on sleep quality, there were 24 people with good sleep quality and 46 people with poor sleep quality. The results of Spearman's analytical correlation showed that there was a relationship between sleep quality and the severity of Acne vulgaris (P-value = 0.005). So, it can be concluded that sleep quality is related to the severity of Acne vulgaris in students aged 17-21 years.

Abstract

Social media, which was originally created to facilitate communication and strengthen relationships between individuals, sometimes has a negative impact. Several factors have contributed to the increase in symptoms. anxiety and decreased individual well-being, such as increased time spent on sites, comparing social status, receiving negative feedback, posting related news stress, and feelings of being under pressure. Research Objectives This to determine the intensity of social media use on the anxiety level of preclinical students of the Faculty of Medicine. The sample in this study were participants in the Medical Education Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Muslim University of Indonesia. The research subjects then filled in questionnaire that has been given in the form of Google Form. The collected data was processed and analyzed using SPSS 23. The results of the study show that the distribution of respondents' answers and the variable correlation test obtained a p value (0.003) <0.05, which means that there is a correlation between SNAIS and GAD with an r value of 0.225. Thus, according to the hypothesis, the higher the intensity of social media use, the higher the anxiety. Based on results Research There is a significant correlation between GAD and SNAIS scores, so the higher the intensity of social media use, the higher the anxiety.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the problems that often occurs in the elderly. Prevalence hypertension in Indonesia is experiencing decrease. However, hypertension is factor risk highest reason death fourth in Indonesia. In South Aceh, the prevalence hypertension also experienced improvement for 3 years Lastly. Likewise with the UPTD Puskesmas Meukek who experienced improvement case hypertension in the elderly. Some factors that influence control hypertension among them obesity, activity physical , and restrictions salt consumption. Study This aiming For analyze factors that influence control hypertension in the elderly at the UPTD Health Center Meukek Anxiety Meukek South Aceh Regency. This type of research is analytical with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were all elderly people aged >60 years who had a history of hypertension with a sample of 66 people. The sampling technique used the cluster proportional sampling technique. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis method was analyzed in a way univariate , bivariate with using the Chi-Square test, and multivariate using regression test logistics multiple with at the level 95% confidence. Research result show factors that influence control hypertension in the elderly that is obesity (p-value = 0.026), activity physical (p-value = 0.002), restrictions salt consumption (p-value = 0.010). The most dominant factor influence control hypertension in the elderly is activity physique with Exp(B) value = 15.905. Elderly with activity physique good 15 times effect to control hypertension in the elderly. It is expected to Respondent For control obesity through pattern eat a balanced and healthy diet, do activity physique light routine activities regular physical such as walking, and increase knowledge elderly For reduce salt consumption with do dissemination and socialization in activities post office.

Abstract

Based on data from the Semarang City Health Office, the highest rat population in Tembalang District in 2019 was in Tandang Village, with 164 rats caught. In addition, in 2018 there were 4 cases of Leptospirosis in Tandang Village and Leptospirosis was the highest infectious disease in Tandang Village, Tembalang District, Semarang City. This study aims to determine the relationship between the behavioral factors of leptospirosis disease prevention on rat density in Tandang Village, Semarang City. This study is a cross sectional study with a total sample of 64 respondents (RW 03 Tandang Village, Semarang City). The results of the analysis showed that the relative density of rats (trap success) in Tandang village was 28.1% and it was categorized as dense (> 7%) and showed that there was no relationship between knowledge of rat density (α = 0.05. P = 0.068), community attitudes. In the prevention of leptospirosis on rat density (α = 0.05. p = 0.07), there was a relationship between leptospirosis prevention behavior and rat density (α = p = 0.00). Conclusion: There is no relationship between knowledge and attitude in the prevention of leptospirosis on rat density. There is a relationship between leptospirosis prevention practices and rat density in Tandang Village, Semarang City.
