Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of packing machine automation on operator productivity in the facial tissue industry by considering the role of moderation, technical competence and operator workload perception. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by reviewing scientific articles published in the 2020–2026 range from reputable databases such as Scopus. The selection process was carried out using the PRISMA approach through the identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages, resulting in a number of articles relevant to the topics of industrial automation, labor productivity, technical competence, and workload. The results of the study show that the implementation of packing machine automation in general has a positive impact on increasing operator productivity through time efficiency, quality consistency, and reduction of manual errors. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of automation is highly dependent on the level of technical competence of the operator, especially in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the machine. In addition, workload perception has also been shown to moderate the relationship, where automation can lower physical workloads but potentially increase mental workloads due to the demands of automated system supervision. Other findings suggest that an imbalance between automation levels and human resource readiness can hinder productivity optimization. Conceptually, this study confirms that the relationship between packing machine automation and operator productivity is not linear, but is influenced by individual and psychological factors. The practical implications of this study are the importance of technical competency-based training as well as adaptive workload management in supporting the successful implementation of automation in the manufacturing industry. This research contributes to the development of an integrative model that connects technology, people, and operational performance in the context of the tissue processing industry.

Abstract

The increasing demand for corporate transparency in sustainability practices, the development of ESG reporting regulations in Indonesia, and the persistent issues of credibility in disclosures such as greenwashing and inconsistent information quality indicate that Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosures are not always perceived positively by the market. This condition is important because ESG disclosures that are not supported by substantive implementation may be viewed as an additional cost, risk, or merely a form of compliance, which in turn may reduce firm value. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of environmental disclosure, social disclosure, and governance disclosure on firm value by incorporating independent commissioners as a moderating variable. Firm value is measured using Tobin’s Q because it reflects market valuation of the company’s performance and growth prospects. The sample consists of companies included in the SRI-KEHATI index during the 2020–2024 period, with a total of 227 unbalanced panel observations analyzed using panel data regression. The results show that environmental disclosure, social disclosure, and governance disclosure have a negative and significant effect on firm value. Independent commissioners are able to weaken the negative effect of environmental disclosure and governance disclosure on firm value, but they are unable to moderate the relationship between social disclosure and firm value. These findings suggest that ESG disclosure in sustainability-oriented companies is not yet fully perceived as a value-creating factor when it is not supported by convincing implementation quality. Practically, these findings are intended to encourage companies not only to increase the extent of ESG disclosure, but also to strengthen the substantive implementation and supervisory role of independent commissioners to enhance the credibility of sustainability information

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Initial Public Offering (IPO) on Return on Assets (ROA) by considering Firm Size, Liquidity, Leverage, and Tangibility in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The study adopts a quantitative explanatory research design using secondary data obtained from audited annual financial statements of companies that conducted IPOs during the observation period. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, while panel data were analyzed using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) to examine the relationships among the variables. The findings indicate that IPO has a positive but insignificant effect on ROA, suggesting that additional capital raised through public offerings does not immediately improve corporate profitability. Firm Size and Leverage exhibit significant negative effects on ROA, indicating that larger firms may experience operational inefficiencies, while excessive debt increases financial burdens and reduces profitability. Conversely, Liquidity and Tangibility show positive but insignificant effects on ROA. Simultaneously, IPO, Firm Size, Liquidity, Leverage, and Tangibility significantly influence ROA, with the model explaining 59.11% of the variation in profitability. These findings imply that post-IPO financial performance depends not only on capital acquisition but also on effective asset utilization, prudent debt management, and efficient operational strategies. The study contributes to the literature on post-IPO corporate performance and provides practical insights for managers and investors in evaluating financial performance after public offerings

Abstract

The rapid growth of local cafes in medium-sized cities has shifted competition from product-based offerings to experience-based value creation. This study examines how service quality and store atmosphere influence customer loyalty through customer satisfaction at See You Cafe in Pinrang City. The study employed a quantitative associative-causal design involving 160 customers selected through purposive sampling, with criteria including customers aged at least 17 years and having visited See You Cafe at least twice. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire measured on a four-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results show that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Store atmosphere also has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, indicating that physical and sensory elements of the cafe contribute to customers’ positive evaluations. However, store atmosphere does not significantly affect customer loyalty. Customer satisfaction also does not significantly affect loyalty and does not mediate the relationship between service quality and loyalty or between store atmosphere and loyalty. These findings suggest that customer loyalty at See You Cafe is shaped more directly by service quality than by satisfaction or store atmosphere. The study implies that cafe management should prioritize improving service reliability, particularly order-serving timeliness, while maintaining a comfortable atmosphere. In addition, loyalty-building strategies should go beyond customer satisfaction by strengthening service consistency, personalization, and long-term customer engagement

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work skills, work discipline, and work motivation on employee performance with a reward scheme as a moderation variable in BU17 employees of PT. Tjiwi Chemical Paper Factory, Tbk. The research uses an explanatory quantitative approach using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The research population amounted to 379 employees with a sample of 192 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire based on the Likert scale and analyzed using SmartPLS 3.0. The results of the study show that work skills, work discipline, and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, reward schemes have been shown to be able to moderate the relationship between job skills, work discipline, and work motivation to employee performance significantly. These findings suggest that rewards not only serve as a form of organizational reward, but also as a work behavior reinforcer that is able to increase the effectiveness of individual contributions to performance achievement. This research provides theoretical implications in the development of the human resource management literature based on reinforcement theory and human capital theory, as well as practical implications for companies in designing a fair, transparent, and performance-based reward system to increase organizational productivity and effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of intellectual capital on the financial performance of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2022–2024 period. Intellectual capital is measured using the Value Added Intellectual Coefficient (VAIC) model, which consists of Value Added Capital Employed (VACA), Value Added Human Capital (VAHU), and Structural Capital Value Added (STVA), while financial performance is proxied by Return on Assets (ROA). This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the annual reports and financial statements of 40 banking companies, resulting in 120 observations. Panel data regression analysis is used, with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) selected based on the results of the Chow test and Hausman test. The results indicate that VACA has no significant effect on ROA, whereas VAHU and STVA have a positive and significant effect on ROA. In addition, VACA, VAHU, and STVA simultaneously affect financial performance. These findings suggest that human capital and structural capital efficiency are more closely associated with financial performance than capital employed efficiency. The study provides empirical evidence regarding the role of intellectual capital in supporting the financial performance of banking companies

Abstract

This study examines the effect of PSAK 109 implementation on earnings management and investigates the moderating role of the audit committee. The study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from annual reports of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample comprises 40 banks with 240 observations during the pre-implementation period (2017–2019) and post-implementation period (2022–2024), excluding 2020–2021 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Earnings management is proxied by Discretionary Loan Loss Provisions (DLLP), while hypothesis testing is conducted using panel data regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The findings reveal that PSAK 109 implementation significantly reduces earnings management practices. In addition, the audit committee significantly moderates the relationship between PSAK 109 and earnings management. These findings highlight the importance of accounting standards and effective governance mechanisms in enhancing the quality of financial reporting in the banking sector.

Abstract

This study was motivated by fluctuations in the stock prices of mining sector companies listed in the IDX30 index during 2021–2024, Indonesia’s mineral downstreaming policy, and inconsistencies in previous research findings. This study aimed to analyze the effects of interest rates and financial performance, as measured by the debt-to-equity ratio (DER) and earnings per share (EPS), on the stock prices of IDX30 mining companies and to examine the moderating role of inflation. The population comprised all mining sector companies listed in the IDX30 index during the year 2021–2024, while the sample was selected using purposive sampling. This study employed a quantitative explanatory approach and panel data regression with Moderated Regression Analysis. The results showed that interest rates had a negative and significant effect on stock prices, whereas EPS had a positive and significant effect. DER did not significantly affect stock prices. Furthermore, inflation did not moderate the effects of interest rates, DER, or EPS on stock prices. These findings imply that mining companies should maintain sustainable profitability and consider interest rate dynamics in financial decision-making. Investors should also consider macroeconomic conditions and company fundamentals when formulating investment strategies.
