Abstract

This study undertakes a qualitative systematic review of empirical research examining the nexus between microfinance and village economic development. Guided by the PRISMA framework and employing thematic synthesis, a total of 42 peer-reviewed studies published between 2000 and 2025 were analyzed. The synthesis reveals four overarching themes: (1) microfinance enhances access to capital and stimulates livelihood diversification; (2) it fosters women’s empowerment and strengthens village social capital; (3) institutional sustainability and governance challenges significantly moderate its effectiveness; and (4) under enabling conditions, microfinance generates multiplier effects that can catalyze structural transformation of rural economies. The findings demonstrate that while microfinance consistently contributes to household income, asset accumulation, and microenterprise growth, its translation into village-wide economic development is neither automatic nor uniform. Positive transformation is contingent upon complementary interventions, including financial literacy training, market linkages, robust local governance, and synergy with village development programs. The review underscores that microfinance should be positioned as a catalyst within an integrated rural development framework rather than a standalone panacea. This evidence base offers actionable insights for policymakers and practitioners aiming to leverage inclusive finance for sustainable village development

Abstract

Brand awareness had become one of the key challenges for local coffee shops operating in highly competitive markets. Jumpa Asa Coffee Shop experienced relatively low brand recognition despite offering a distinctive brand concept and quality products. This study aimed to develop and implement a consumer and market insight-based social media marketing strategy through content and campaign deliverables to improve brand awareness. This project employed interviews, observations, questionnaires (n=165 respondents for main survey, n=41 for pre-survey, n=45 for post-survey), competitor analysis, and social media analytics to identify consumer behavior, market characteristics, and audience preferences. The findings informed a structured content strategy and digital campaign on Instagram over a 4-week period (18 May – 15 June 2026), during which 20 content posts were published (13 Reels, 5 Feeds, and 2 Stories), including a campaign challenge that attracted 12 participants. The implementation demonstrated significant improvements in digital marketing performance, including reach increasing from 924 to 6,064 accounts (555.6% increase), impressions rising from 25,495 to 41,455 (62.6% increase), profile visits growing from 1,306 to 2,387 (82.8% increase), engagement rate jumping from 3.63% to 12.2% (236% increase), and followers increasing from 422 to 446 (5.7% increase). The results indicated that integrating consumer and market insights into content planning enabled more relevant communication with target audiences and strengthened brand awareness among local consumers. This study contributed practical evidence that consumer insight-based social media marketing could serve as an effective branding strategy for small and medium-sized coffee shop businesses operating in competitive environments.

Abstract

The research initially begins with the very high intensity K-pop fandom culture that facilitates digital involvement in Indonesia, although it is not accompanied by the buying of official merchandise in all cases. Therefore, the present research seeks to study fandom culture by investigating influence which influence the purchasing decision of Indonesian fans purchasing K-pop merchandise and findings which motivate and prevent purchasing. This study uses a quantitative methodology through an online survey among Indonesia's K-pop fans, and it is subsequently statistically evaluated in terms of the relationships between variables. The investigation demonstrates that culture of fandom and digital engagement have an impact on purchases but a conversion from digital fandom to purchase behaviour is also a function of value, purchasing power and perceived benefit of the product. We can conclude from these observations that culture of fandom offers more than just emotional support; it also influences consumption behavior, which has a strategic implication for K-pop agencies that can formulate more effective promotional campaigns with product sale potential.

Abstract

The Sasak Beach tourist attraction in West Pasaman Regency has significant natural tourism potential to support regional economic growth. However, its management still faces various obstacles, such as limited facilities, low community participation, suboptimal digital promotion, and the underdevelopment of a tourism-based creative economy. This study aims to analyze the current development strategy for the Sasak Beach tourist attraction and identify factors that can be developed to increase tourist visits. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation with informants consisting of the Tourism Office, village government, tourist attraction managers, Tourism Awareness Groups (Pokdarwis), MSMEs, the community, and tourists. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the Sasak Beach development strategy has been directed at improving infrastructure, preserving the environment, strengthening tourist attractions, and collaboration between the government and the community. However, improvements in human resource quality, strengthening digital-based promotion, providing unique souvenirs, developing MSMEs, improving visitor comfort, and partnerships with the private sector are still needed. This study concludes that the development of Sasak Beach requires an integrated and sustainable strategy to be able to increase the competitiveness of the destination while increasing the number of tourist visits and the welfare of the local community.
