Borneo Journal of Primary Education (E-ISSN 2775-5258) is a scholarly academic journalpublished by Faculty of Education and Teacher Training of UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda, Indonesia. It is a peer-reviewed open access journal in the fields of Islamic Education. The publication of an article in Borneo Journal of Primary Education is an essential building block in the development of a respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editors, the peer reviewers, and the publisher. The journal is published twice a year in June and December. It was firstly published in 2021. Borneo Journal of Primary Education, accepts unpublished, high quality, and original research manuscripts in English and Arabic related research and education.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter di sekolah/madrasah memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk generasi yang tidak hanya unggul secara akademis tetapi juga berakhlak mulia, beretika, dan bertanggung jawab sosial. Artikel ini mengkaji pendidikan karakter melalui pendekatan literatur, dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis tujuan, fungsi, landasan hukum, bentuk dan model pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di sekolah/madrasah serta penanaman nilai dan upaya pendidikan karakter di sekolah/madrasah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter harus diintegrasikan ke dalam semua aspek pembelajaran, termasuk kegiatan akademik dan ekstrakurikuler, dengan dukungan penuh dari guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat. Implementasi pendidikan karakter juga dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan seperti kurangnya pemahaman guru, keterbatasan sumber daya, serta dampak era digital. Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, diperlukan inovasi yang mendalam, peningkatan kompetensi guru, serta sinergi antar pemangku kepentingan. Melalui pendidikan karakter yang efektif, yang diiringi dengan internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter serta dukungan yang kuat dari pemerintah dan lembaga sekolah/madrasah, peserta didik akan siap menghadapi tantangan global dengan moralitas dan integritas yang tangguh.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the management and utilization of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds in elementary schools in the North Sempaja sub-district. The BOS program is an educational policy designed to alleviate the financial burden on the community, especially after the rise in fuel prices. Adequate educational financing plays a crucial role in achieving the goal of quality education. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, gathering data through interviews with school principals, vice principals, treasurers, and school committees, as well as documentary data related to BOS fund management. The results show that the management of BOS funds in elementary schools has been implemented according to the existing guidelines. However, there are still some challenges in the supervision and transparency of fund usage. BOS funds are used for various school operational needs, such as purchasing textbooks, teacher training, student activities, and facility maintenance. Despite contributions from the school committee or parents, supervision of BOS fund usage still needs improvement to ensure more transparency and accountability. Therefore, it is recommended to enhance the capacity of internal supervisors, deepen the understanding of the fund usage guidelines, and tighten supervision so that BOS funds can be used optimally and appropriately.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi implementasi nilai-nilai multikultural dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Tenggarong, menekankan inklusivitas dan penghormatan terhadap keragaman dalam pendidikan. Ini menggali berbagai aspek seperti desain kurikulum, metode pengajaran, dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang mendukung multikulturalisme dalam pendidikan agama. Tantangan yang dihadapi sekolah dan upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasinya dibahas, memberikan pandangan komprehensif tentang pentingnya dan implementasi efektif nilai-nilai multikultural dalam pendidikan agama sekolah menengah. Peran kepala sekolah dalam memfasilitasi implementasi ini melalui visi yang jelas, kebijakan yang mendukung, alokasi sumber daya yang memadai, dan kolaborasi dengan pemangku kepentingan disorot. Studi ini menunjukkan bagaimana PAI tidak hanya memberikan ajaran agama dan moral tetapi juga mempromosikan kesadaran sosial, perawatan lingkungan, pemikiran kritis, dan keterampilan analitis di antara siswa
