Abstract

Traveling is one of the needs of everyone to relax the mind from the busyness that is lived every day. One of the cities in East Java which is a prima donna for traveling is Malang. The city has approximately 43 tourist destinations. Usually, tourists who want to visit not only one place, but several places. generate assistance in deciding which destinations to visit first in order for their trip to be effective. The shortest search process in this study uses the A-Star Algorithm, one of the BFS algorithms which in the process really considers the heuristic value. The process of testing the shortest route is done by selecting a starting point, then selecting several tourist locations. Next, the shortest route will be searched using the A-star algorithm at each destination, then which destination will be visited first. And so on until the final destination. The effectiveness of the route which involves comparison with the route presented by google maps. Based on the results of 30 experiments on several comprehensive destinations, it was found that the average route search using the A-Star algorithm was 44.17% shorter than that presented on google maps. This is due to the uniqueness of the algorithm in which there is a heuristic value and selection for each destination so as to make the route more effective.

Abstract

Graph theory is a topic that is still an important subject to discuss. This is because until now graph theory has many practical applications in various disciplines, for example in biology, computer science, economics, informatics engineering, linguistics, mathematics, health, and social sciences. This study discusses the Gutman index of nilradical graphs in the commutative ring with unity.A nilradical graph whose vertices are non-zero nilpotent elements, when the domain is a commutative ring with units, it forms a complete graph only if the commutative ring with units we use is limited to a positive integer modulo n (Z_n). Where n is the square of the prime number p which is less than equal to 3. It is known that the general pattern of harmonic indices and Gutman indices of nilradical graphs in the commutative ring with unity are H(N(Z_(n=p^2 ) ))=((p-2)^2+(p -2))/2(p-2) and Gut(N(Z_(n=p^2 ) ))=(1/2 ((p-2)^2+(p-2))) (p- 2)^2 respectively. In its application, this general form can be used as a numerical parameter of a graph in chemical graph theory, molecular topology, and mathematical chemistry.

Abstract

Lightning is an inescapable natural occurrence in the Earth’s atmosphere. Lightning is extremely harmful since the energy released can reach up to three million volts. Lightning strikes are difficult to forecast in terms of time, position, and intensity, therefore they may result in physical losses as they often result in fatalities. One method that can be used to identify an area and time that is prone to lightning is the clustering technique. The clustering approach utilized in this study is the ST-DBSCAN algorithm (Spatio Temporal-Density Based Spatial Clustering Application with Noise), which groups data based on spatial and temporal aspects. The dataset used in this study is lightning spots in Malang City from 1 January to 31 December 2022, with a total of 16,800 data. The most accurate analysis findings revealed four clusters and 26 contained noise, giving a Silhouette Coefficient value of 0.104 which employs parameters such as spatial distance (Eps1 = 0.2), temporal distance (Eps2 = 7), and minimum parts of spots within the group (MinPts = 7). Lightning strikes in Malang City in 2022 are anticipated to be frequently encountered between January and July in the first cluster, totaling 13.337 spots and the least occurred in August with 110 spots.

Abstract

This article discusses the solution to the fractional order SEIR equation with the help of the Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM). This mathematical model is the SEIR model of the spread of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. In general, the nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equation System (ODES) solution is quite difficult to solve analytically, so this research will transform the nonlinear ODES into a Fractional Differential Equation System (FDES). The method used in completing this research is the HPM method. The solution for the fractional order by the HPM method is obtained by the following steps: 1). Multiply each SEIR equation against the embedding parameter and equate each coefficient in the assumed infinite series to find the solution, 2). Simulate numerical solutions and perform graph interpretation. The numerical simulation shows that the susceptible human population, the infected human population without symptoms, the recovered human population has increased, in contrast to the infected human population with decreased symptoms. The HPM method in its numerical solution shows a fairly small comparison to the nonlinear ODES solution.

Abstract

Survival analysis is a statistical method used to analyze data with time until the occurrence of a certain event which is commonly referred to as "failure". One of the objectives of survival analysis is to determine the effect of predictor variables on survival time. The purpose of this study was to determine the regression model and determine the hazard ratio of each factor that is thought to affect the survival of cervical cancer patients. The results of this study showed that the factors that influence patients with cervical cancer in their survival are stage II and stage III variables (the patient’s stage), complications, and a history of pregnancy (who have children 0-2).

Abstract

Leslie matrix is a growth matrix used to estimate the growth rate of a population. Through the population growth rate, information can be obtained whether the growth tends to increase, decrease, or stabilize. The general form of the Leslie matrix is a square matrix in which the first-row entries contain values of female fertility rate , the subdiagonals contain values of female survival rate , and entries other than in the first row and sub diagonals are zero. This research is to determine the implementation of the Leslie matrix in estimating the female population growth rate in Situbondo Regency 2023 and its analysis. The stages of this research began with presenting the Leslie matrix population growth model for the next three years. The second stage is to determine the age class interval. Next, determine the initial age distribution vector. The fourth and fifth stages, respectively, are calculating the  and the  value. The next step is constructing the Leslie matrix. The seventh stage is to calculate the estimated female population. The eighth stage is determining the eigenvalue and ends with determining the dominant eigenvalue. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is obtained that the estimated female population in Situbondo Regency 2023 tends to decrease with the acquisition of a dominant eigenvalue that is less than one. That information can be taken into consideration by the government in formulating population-related policies.

Abstract

Abstract

DNA Cryptography is one of new algortihm in cryptography that is used to encrypt the data by converting the DNA code into binary code. Encryption process is expected to produce a random and unreadable ciphertext. This research aims to determine the result of encryption frequency analysis of the ciphertext obtained from the encryption process using DNA Cryptography and Digraph Transformation algorithm. The formation of a symmetric key is carried out for the encryption and decryption process in DNA Cryptography, and modular arithmetic in Digraph Transformation algorithm. The encryption process produces ciphertext in the form of letters and symbols because if involves the use of an ASCII table. Frequency analysis is done by comparing the frequency of occurence of letters in the ciphertext with frequency of occurence of letters in English. The conclusion for this research is that the ciphertext looks random, not easy to read, and hard to guess. For the future work, researcher can change the choice of binary code combinatory in DNA Cryptographic algorithms, increase the character vocabulary in the Digraph Transformation algorithm, and use various languages to code.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. This disease is often referred to as the silent killer because it can lead to death without noticeable symptoms, leaving those affected unaware of their condition. Therefore, early detection and management of hypertension are crucial. This research aims to obtain the classification of hypertension using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method by utilizing various attributes such as age, smoking habits, lifestyle, blood pressure, and hypertension diagnosis, as well as determining the accuracy level of hypertension classification results using the SVM method. The SVM method is trained with various kernel parameters and hyperparameters to find the best model. The research findings indicate that the best model for classifying hypertension using the SVM method employs the RBF kernel with parameters = 100 and  (gamma) = 0,1, achieving an accuracy of 97.15%. This demonstrates that the SVM method is capable of classifying hypertension very well and significantly contributes to the early detection and management of hypertension.
