Abstract

Electricity has now become a necessity that cannot be released in everyday life. Gradually, now PLN electricity customers are starting to use a prepaid electricity system, which requires customers to enter a token code via the keypad on the digital kWh meter before using it. This tool is designed to be able to fill stroom tokens automatically using the smart kWh application which will make it easier to fill electricity tokens wherever and whenever. In the process of pressing the digital kWh meter button using 12 solenoids, each of which will be placed right in front of the kWh meter button and by using the raspberry pi as a microprocessor that can trigger the solenoid movement via the relay driver. This tool can fill the electricity token stroom to completion with an average time required of 27.74 seconds with a delay between solenoids of approximately 1.3 seconds. Based on the results of testing and data analysis, the percentage value of the accuracy of the tool in filling the electricity token stroom at the kWh meter is 92%. Meanwhile, the error percentage of the tool in filling the electricity token stroom is an error of 8%. By using a solar cell, this tool will continue to work optimally when the power goes out and with this tool, the process of filling the electricity token stroom is simply done through the smart kWh application.

Abstract

Nowadays, television is having a massive development, to fulfill the needs of the technology evolution which started from analog TV, it has advanced into digital TV. In this research, vivaldi antennathat was designed can work on digital TV frequency, that is at 478-694 MHz. Vivaldi antenna has several advantages, such as; simple structure, light weight, and most importanly ultra-wideband, so this antenna becomes a favorite tool in communication systems.The substrate of vivaldi antenna in this research is designed for using FR-4 with a dielectric permitivity is 4.6 mm. This antenna is designed with a type of antipodal vivaldi antenna by adding a triangular dielectric director to add the gain of antenna. The antenna is the simulated by using software simulator before being manufactured and measured. The mesuarement obtained vivaldi antenna that have been made to have a return loss of -18.86 and VSWR of 1.29 in the frequency range of 538.8-751.4 MHz, a gain of dBi, and unidirectional radiation patterns. With these characteristic results the antenna can work well at a frequency of 538.8-751.4 MHz.

Abstract

Dahlander motor is a 3-phase induction motor which has two speeds. The difference in speed on the Dahlander motor is obtained by the principle of changing the number of poles on the stator of the motor. By changing the number of poles on the Dahlander motor, it will change the speed of the motor. The purpose of this project development is to facilitate and help Caltex Riau Polytechnic students, especially students of the Electrical Engineering Study Program, this project was built using a Programmable Logic Controller or PLC so that the Dahlander motor control system can be done automatically. The PLC that will be used is the Schneider brand, type M221. To make PLC M221 program using Somachine Basic software. The working principle of this project is a dahlander motor control system, the control system is based on Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) using a PLC. The display of this control system is made using Wonderware InTouch software. With this project, it is hoped that it can help Caltex Riau Polytechnic students, especially for students of the Electrical Engineering Study Program. Abstract

Abstract Currently the spread of the corona virus is shaking the world, which can be transmitted quickly, the spread of this virus can attack the patient's breathing, so that some victims experience shortness of breath and need a ventilator to help sufferers in breathing. In this study, an inexpensive ventilator will be designed to help patients. The ventilator will be designed in Pressure Regulated Volume Control (PRVC) mode, this mode can control the volume and pressure of air entering the patient's lungs, so that the patient does not experience trauma due to pressure or volume that is not according to medical standards. To control this, the ventilator will use a flow sensor and pressure sensor which will be controlled by a microcontroller and adjust the air pump from the oxygen tank to release air according to the required pressure and volume to the mask used by the patient to breathe. This tool can monitor the parameters needed and can adjust it according to the patient's condition and the power source of this tool is a battery so that this tool is portable, the ventilator settings will be set with a tidal volume of 500 ml with each breathing cycle taking 5 seconds so that the breath per breath. The result is 12 breaths / min. From the test results, data is obtained in the form of pressure reaching 13.04 cmH2O at full speed of the air pump. Abstract

Errors in the software cost estimation process can cause software failure. The failure occurred because of several problems encountered, one of which was a change that suddenly appeared at the end of the software project work requested by the client. The purpose of this research is to build an application to estimate the cost of web-based software development using the Function Point (FP) method. FP measures software by quantifying software functionality. The purpose of the measurement using the FP method is to get a measure of the cost and duration required by a software project. After testing, the results of tests that have been carried out directly with the project head of PT Daka Technology Innovation are obtained. Testing the complexity weight determination program using cyclomatic complexity resulted in 25 paths. While the resulting accuracy for the standard deviation of cost is 25.56%, and the standard deviation of effort is 33.33%. From the data from this test, the client states that the benefits and objectives of the system have been achieved

Abstract

The high density of circuit integration results in complex electromagnetic interference (EMI). measurement mapping Near-field is an effective method for locating radiation sources, redesigning circuits, and improving the EMC performance of electronic systems. Therefore, the probe is a key component inmeasurements near-field. The near-field probe is anprobe appropriatefor this measurement because it is capable of measuring radio frequency (RF) magnetic field levels from small sources. In this research,is designed and implemented magnetic The near-field probe is made from a two-layer FR-4 PCB with a relative permittivity value of 4.6 and a thickness of 1.6 mm. FR-4 PCB material was chosen because it is cheaper so it can save development costs. The probe can be used in range thefrequency 10 KHz to 1 GHz. The probe is designed based on a loop with atransmission microstripline. Thereturn loss minimumis -23.17 dB at a frequency of 935 MHz with a VSWR of 1.149. To measure the power level using the DUT EM Demo Board with a measurement distance of 1 cm to 6 cm. The greater the measurement distance, the smaller the power level value and vice versa.

Abstract

The client system design space is becoming more aggressive every year and all of these designs have more signal traces that are directed at a certain area, either on the microstrip or strip line. This applies to the motherboard system level as well as the substrate package level. Guarding high-speed signals by co-planar grounded traces is a traditional way of reducing crosstalk and EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). This grounded trace will usually run along with the high-speed signal across the channel. But because the speed is getting higher, most of the interface margin is still limited by crosstalk, hence the proposed "Elevated Guard Trace Technique" which can reduce crosstalk and EMI which can improve the overall system performance. This innovative technique of guard trace is commonly used in microstrip layers which are routed with high-speed signals to significantly minimize emission or EMI. Any design that targets cost savings will minimize the total number of layers in the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) or in the substrate package.

Abstract

Mutual coupling between EMI filter components is a major concern when designing EMI filters for EMI attenuation in the high frequency range. To reduce mutual coupling and increase the damping conductivity of EMI, shields can be placed between the filter components. This study presents the modeling and measurement of an EMI filter with a shield copper placed between the filter components. 3D electromagnetic field modeling software CST MWS is used to model filters over a wide frequency range. Modeling is done with different inductor positions on a double-sided PCB. The modeling results show that the shield that is installed in the mixed inductor position is the most effective in reducing the S21 value. Shield can reduce radiated emission well in the frequency range 200 kHz - 4.5 MHz and 40 MHz - 60.8 MHz with a maximum attenuation value of 13.38 dB.

Abstract

With the increasing complexity of digital devices and the development of wireless devices, there are many design and fabrication problems that are encountered. Especially the circuit module which sometimes causes Electromagnetic Interference in the equipment itself or excessive electromagnetic radiation resulting in Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) problems. Magnetic Near Field Probes are very effective in detecting EMI, which is Radiated Emission in the Near Field. In this study, the measured radiated signal was in the frequency range 0 - 150 KHz. The aim of this research is to be able to design and implement magnetic near field probe for low frequency applications in the 0 to 150 KHz range to detect Electromagnetic Radiated Emission. In this final project (TA), the design of a Magnetic Field Probe to detect low frequency Radiation Emission requires determining the dimensions of the probe as well as the constituent material of the coil core of the probe. The dimensions of the probe are 4mm in diameter, the number of turns 50 and the core material of the probe winding is iron. The resonant frequency of the probe is designed at 75 KHz. In the measurement process with a Magnetic Field Probe, a supporting circuit such as an Amplifier is also used to increase the sensitivity of the probe.

Abstract

Software Define Network (SDN) is a network technology in which parts of the device infrastructure, namely the control plane and data plane, are separated, so that routing policies can be carried out centrally through the controller. The controller used is OpenDaylight. SDN will be combined with OpenFlow which will make network operators easy to operate. SDN is an architecture that can design, manage and implement. SDN architecture is applied to Mikrotik devices to compare the quality of service (QoS) between SDN architecture and architecture without SDN (traditional). The results of the measurement of quality of service (QoS) obtained with the throughput value is 248,53515625, then the packet loss value obtained is 0, the delay value is 0,000016558 and the jitter value is 0,996741045. The measured throughput ,packet loss and delay values are very good values according to the value category of each parameter, but the measured jitter are poor based on the value category of each parameter Keywords: Software Defined Networking, Throughput, Packet Loss, Jitter, Delay.
