Magistrorum et Scholarium: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (JMS) merupakan ajang penyajian hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan akses terbuka bagi para insan akademisi, peneliti, mahasiswa, dosen maupun praktisi. JMSmerupakan publikasi berkala yang diterbitkan Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) Salatiga, terbit tiga kali dalam setahun (bulan Agustus, Desember dan April). Fokus JMS adalah menyebarluaskan karya inovasi dari aktivitas pengabdian masyarakat berbagai disiplin ilmu dengan rupa-rupa topik yang memiliki dampak bagi masyarakat dan bangsa. JMS merupakan bagian dari komitmen UKSW dalam menjalin relasi yang baik dengan masyarakat dengan menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many activities that require face-to-face contact cannot be carried out directly, including for the needs of Sunday Worship at GKI Tegalrejo Salatiga. To facilitate this, it is necessary to develop an daring worship system that is carried out live streaming. This activity aims to build the streaming system so that the worship performed at the church can also be followed by the congregation directly from their respective homes. The program implementation method is carried out in six steps, namely identification of needs and mapping of existing conditions, planning and priority scale, setting of streaming equipment, training, implementation, and the last is evaluation.

Abstract

The integrated field program carried out by the FISKOM Integrated Field Learning group at the General Election Commission of Semarang Regency is an implementation of community service. The group made direct observations to see what activities the group at the Semarang Regency General Election Commission could assist with and then chose the right program to be able to make a scientific contribution. The low participation of several community groups, one of which is the novice voters, is one of the groups' concerns in taking the activity of making Community Service Advertisements videos. Public Service Advertisement Video as a medium to provide additional insight to the public and is expected to contribute to the Semarang Regency General Election Commission to socialize to novice voters about the importance of being involved in elections and elections and avoiding not voting or money politics in the upcoming elections.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 merupakan suatu epidemik yang terjadi hampir di seluruh dunia, dimana pandemi ini juga tentunya berdampak terhadap segala bidang baik itu dari segi ekonomi, sosial masyarakat, dan juga berdampak terhadap peribadatan bagi masyarakat. pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan empati dan kepedulian mahasiswa terhadap masalah yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat dan lembaga mitra, dengan melaksanakan beberapa kegiatan yaitu: webinar, pembuatan IGTV, dan pembuatan video pembelajaran, yang dimana pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk pembelajaran lapangan terpadu dilaksanakan di GKI Tegalrejo. diharapkan dengan pengabdian masyarakat ini Gereja sebagai influence di tengah masyarakat yang majemuk dapat mencapai ke setiap tingkatan yang ada, dan sudah terealisasi juga melalui program-program yang dibuat. Serta terbukti dari jumlah partisipan dan penonton IGTV GKI Tegalrejo yang semakin meningkat dapat dilihat pada Instagram @gkitegalrejo.salatiga.

Abstract

Community service carried out by the PLT team is in collaboration with Bawaslu Salatiga. Bawaslu Salatiga has a problem of lack of Human Resources in the field of Public Relations. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, outreach activities to the community have been hampered. Based on this problem, the team then made several programs, one of which was making a public service advertisement film with the theme of the Temporary Voter List (DPS). The making of this public service advertisement is based on the theory of New Media Theory which focuses on media/facilities that utilize the internet network and digital technology as a means of interaction without being limited by space and time. so as to make the community an information society, it will be more open in thought, attitude and make us more democratic. The results of this program are in the form of videos which are then uploaded to the Youtube and Instagram accounts of the Bawaslu of Salatiga City.

Abstract

The workshop program with the theme "Religious Radicalism, Responding to the Rise of the Taliban and Cases of Blasphemy of Religion" was created for the youth of the GKJ Karangalit church in Salatiga with the aim of helping youth expand their knowledge and learn about current events and religious issues in the world. especially from a Christian perspective. Through this program, students from the Satya Wacana Christian University Faculty of Social and Communication Sciences participate in preparing programs according to their fields of knowledge. Although the youth of GKJ Karangalit Salatiga are few in number, there is high enthusiasm to join the program and help prepare for the service. From the results of this Community Service, it resulted in an increase in the knowledge capacity of the youth of GKJ Karangalit in the dangers of religious radicalism.

Abstract

An organization must stand by having a strong foundation in order to achieve the goals that are used as directions for the establishment of the organization. It is also owned by the Association of Women's Organizations (GOW) Salatiga. Along with the age of an organization and the times, organizational revitalization is very necessary for the purpose of developing the capacity of the organization and it is also very important to do so that the organization has a track record in the process. One form of revitalization is the design of a GOW profile book which contains a brief history and activities that have been carried out by GOW and its 25 elements along with photos of activities so that they can be used as track records in the process. The profile book can also be used as an archive of GOW in finding data related to the previous activities of its 25 elements

Abstract

The problem of stunting is a national issue that needs serious attention. In Salatiga City, stunting cases are still very ups and downs. This is because it is not only a matter of poverty, but also the low level of parenting and public understanding of stunting. The purpose of this community service is to aid and strengthen the community so that they have the ability to prevent stunting through Integrated Field Learning. So that it is expected to be able to raise public awareness of the causes of stunting problems that exist in each kelurahan, and to strengthen institutions at the base level which eventually becomes a synergistic movement. And aims to build an accurate database of the profile and potential of each kelurahan. The solution given is to aid and community strengthening through pentahelix collaboration with target communities in 7 Kelurahan namely Kauman Kidul Village, Pulutan Village, Kecandaran Village, Blotongan Village, Kotawinangun Lor Village, Tegalrejo Village and Randuacir Village where PLT has been carried out related to stunting cases found in Salatiga City, stunting prevention campaign. The method is carried out by making or looking for stunting prevention strategies, prevention action plans, socialization and workshops, making communication, information and education media in the context of stunting prevention campaigns, building data houses and reading gardens that can be accessed by the community as a source of family information, one of which is related to stunting prevention.

Abstract

The increasing number of people with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is a global health threat. Of course, the prevalence rate of diabetes mellitus must be prevented with both preventive and promotive actions. One form of prevention that can be sought is by detecting as early as possible in people who have risk factors. Therefore, this community service activity is carried out to detect the risk of diabetes mellitus, by checking blood sugar levels when measuring BMI and abdominal circumference which are indicators of diabetes mellitus. The results of the examination of 21 people (12 women, 9 men) showed the following results 13 people had blood glucose level (GDS) > 200 mg/dl, and 8 people had blood glucose level (GDS) < 200 mg/dl, 13 people with abdominal circumference > 80 cm (women) and 8 people with abdominal circumference > 90 cm (men), 13 people were categorized as overweight (BMI > 25kg/m2). The results above show that there are still many people who are not aware that they are at risk of developing DM, so there needs to be regular checks and health education about DM problems.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is often not detected before a diagnosis is made, so that morbidity (occurrence of diseases or conditions that change health and quality of life) and early mortality (death) is very high. So that it is important early detection as early as possible provides an opportunity to be able to control the rate of morbidity and mortality of DMs. The purpose of this community service is to predict the risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus by using the FINRISC (The Finnish Diabetes Risk Score) tool which has been validated with 8 components. The results of the service obtained those 15 respondents were detected using this measuring instrument with the results that 6 people were in the slightly increased risk category (score 7-11), 5 people were in the moderate risk category (score 12-14) and 4 people were in the high risk category (score). 14-20). It can be concluded that the higher the total score obtained, the individual has a very large chance of having diabetes in the future.

Abstract

At the second year of the pandemic COVID-19 in Indonesia, worship activities at church are still doing in online method. Even though church have been opened, the capacity of church is still set at only 50% of the maximum capacity. So that online worship activities are become still a priority. Internship activities carried out by FISKOM’s students then came into contact with GBI Marantha Salatiga. FISKOM’s students maximized Internship activities for approximately 2 months to support worship activities during the pandemic. With the discussion method to find real needs, there were 4 main programs that would be carried out and aimed at strengthening the media function of the GBI Maranatha Salatiga. The four programs include: (1) making church video profile; (2) strengthening the church's multimedia team; (3) making a video about short info’s church ; (4) making new normal activity posters. These programs has been completed according to first designed and have been finished at a perfect time.
