Abstract

People prefer to do things outside the home, such as taking care of themselves, outdoor activities until late at night, and generally unkempt house conditions, greatly increasing the likelihood of community crimes that include outdoor activities such as light maintenance, outdoor activities until late at night, and generally unkempt house conditions, greatly increasing the likelihood of criminal acts. Automatic technology is the solution to this problem, a type of household equipment that can be cleaned and maintained automatically. A descriptive approach is used, where researchers use reliable and systematic data to describe a phenomenon. for the use of Arduino Uno software that can provide instructions to turn on and detect lights. As an automatic indicator, the light sensor connected to the relay is very sensitive to the light resistance measured by the light sensor. The bulb will turn off automatically if the light sensor detects a number of more than 200 at the beginning of the day. Automatic lights can be operated via a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor so that the lights automatically turn on based on the resistance value measured by the sensor and timer. This is one way to develop a system in the event of a system disruption or seasonal rain. The timer can remember to adjust and set the lights as needed.

Abstract

Contactors are important components in electrical systems that function as electromagnetic switches to control electric current in various places, both in industry and in housing. The working principle of the contactor is based on the electromagnetic field that occurs when the coil gets electricity, so that the contacts can be open or closed control the flow of electricity. So that it can control high currents, so when the contactor is given a voltage or electricity, it will produce an electromagnetic field to attract the main contact so that the voltage or electricity is connected, and vice versa when the voltage for the contactor is removed, the magnetic field will disappear and the main contact will return to its normal position. Contactors are often used in controlling electric motors, lighting systems, and industrial automation. This journal explains the working principle, as well as the main role of contactors in electrical systems. A good understanding of contactors can help in the design and maintenance of electrical installations to make them safer and more efficient in the industrial world.

Abstract

The use of new and renewable primary energy is increasingly common in many countries. The use of environmentally friendly energy sources, such as solar power, is anticipated to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate severe climate change. Based on a simple principle, which is to turn daily life into a series of activities full of energy, sunlight is an example of natural resources, therefore solar cells become an energy that can be said to be environmentally friendly. Utilizing solar panels (solar cells), sunlight has been used extensively to generate electrical power for communication satellites. These solar panels can generate energy, although they may not last for a long duration and do not require fuel. Therefore, this solar panel or solar cell can be said to be clean and environmentally friendly.

Abstract

Inadequate lighting in rice cultivation fields at night poses significant challenges that can reduce farmer productivity, especially during planting and harvesting seasons when extended working hours are crucial. Moreover, insufficient visibility at night increases the likelihood of disturbances from nocturnal pests such as rodents and birds. At the same time, limited access to electricity in the fields hinders the ability to provide adequate lighting. This study is not intended to create off-grid lighting supported by solar panels as a sustainable and energy-efficient alternative application for the land. This research uses a literature review method and a technical analysis of the system's individual components, including solar batteries, controllers, and LED lights. The findings show that this system can theoretically provide lighting for 10-12 hours each night and can operate even in cloudy weather thanks to battery storage. This technology can enhance farmers' safety and comfort during work and can be further developed into IoT-based smart agricultural solutions.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mechanical strength of coconut fiber composites with epoxy resin as an alternative material for go-kart bodies. Coconut fiber was selected due to its availability, low cost, and eco-friendly properties. The experimental method used fiber-to-resin ratios of 80:20, 70:30, and 60:40. The specimens were tested through bending tests, Charpy impact tests, and Vickers hardness tests. The results indicated that the 70:30 ratio provided the highest bending strength of 21.18 N/mm² and the highest average hardness of 166 VHN, while the 60:40 ratio produced the highest impact energy of 0.623 J/mm². The 80:20 ratio showed the lowest values across all parameters. These findings confirm that variations in coconut fiber fractions significantly affect the mechanical properties of the composites. Overall, the 70:30 ratio demonstrated the most balanced mechanical performance and is recommended as an alternative material for go-kart bodies, offering enhanced strength, lightweight properties, and environmental sustainability.

Abstract
