Abstract

Grammar is one of the essential components in English that contains many elements like tenses. English tenses commonly become a problem among Indonesian students. Every English teacher, therefore, is required to provide creative and effective ways of teaching English tenses. This research aimed at investigating the benefits of English songs as teaching devices, the considerations in using English songs, and the teaching procedures. For the third variable, the researcher only focuses on the most frequently used tenses named present simple. The method employed was descriptive qualitative, and the researchers did this current study through three phases. They are data gathering, data analysis, and data presentation. This study reveals several significant findings. Firstly, English songs have many benefits called creating a positive learning environment, motivating the students, giving cultural information, and teaching linguistics knowledge. Secondly, there are at least five considerations in using English songs as teaching devices. They are the teaching topics, language level, student age, cultural issue, and song accessibility. Thirdly, there are three essential teaching procedures. They are warm-up activity, main activity, and additional activity. Overall, English songs are useful teaching devices in the EFL context, and they can effectively be used to teach language elements like tenses.

Abstract

English foreign learners are diverse in age, level, and grade. These different characteristics become essential in the field of teaching and learning. It is effective for reference in choosing the applicable media or techniques for teaching and learning. Here, this study concerns describe the relevant media to teach vocabulary to young learners, exclusively where the first language (L1) of the plurality of the learners are not Native-English. Due to young learners learn English as a foreign at the beginner level, the learning strategies and teaching media which are given by teachers should be appropriate with them. Teachers have to develop their ideas in electing suitable media to teach young learners. Then, this paper, based on reviews of literature, explores the use of Puppet Pictures as storytelling media to teach young learners. Puppet Pictures is one of the interactive media which can persuade young learners to attend with the learning. The result indicates that the Puppet picture is able to allow the learners’ attention to the lesson. It can be played through a story. It helps young learners understand the new vocabularies by seeing the real objects and acquiring the learning process.

Abstract

Many factors lead people to get married even though their age do not meet the requirement of the Marriage Law. It happens because they desire to avoid the adultery tradition or probably their mate is being pregnant. It becomes problem when people who are under nineteen years old involve to this issue. They actually require additional legal consideration and the existence of legal certainty regarding to the abridge pace of the registration offer until the presence of establishment. The invocation proposes by the parents are for the sake of their children. By mean of these, this study aimed to investigate the practice of principles such as a brief, simple and low-cost toward the case of a marriage dispensation petition through the ethic Contante Justitie. This study used the empirical juridical approach to gain the facts from the implementation of Contante Justitie, and this study belongs to descriptive qualitative research. The data were collected from primary data supported by secondary data. The data gathered from official document, literature, and the results of unstructured interview. Then, the results are presented through texts and qualitative descriptive analysis. The result has indicated that the basis principles of Contante Justitie has implemented in surroundings religious court in Purwokerto. It is useful to protect underage marriage due to the pressing reasons to get married.

Abstract

The authors have a goal to determine the influence of empathy, responsibility, and tangible in public health services to public satisfaction in PMI Surakarta either partially or simultaneously. Hypothesis in this research were: suspected empathy, responsibility, and tangible in social service of public health have significant influence to satisfaction of society in PMI Surakarta either partially or simultaneously. Data needed in this research were primary data obtained by questionnaire method from sample counted 67 respondents. Data analysis used in this research were multiple linear regression test, t test, F test and coefficient of determination test. The result of data analysis in this research can be concluded that empathy, responsibility, and tangible in public health service have significant influence to the satisfaction of society in PMI Surakarta either partially or simultaneously.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of accounting information systems, the use of information technology, and internal control on the performance of DPUPR Sragen Regency employees, either partially and simultaneously. This research was conducted at DPUPR Sragen Regency. The population in this study were 120 employees. The research sample of 60 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data instruments in the form of a questionnaire. Data analyzed with inductive statistical techniques. Hypothesis tested by multiple regression analysis models, t test and F test. Regression test results obtained Y = -2,981 + 0,415 X1 + 1,073 X2 + 0,453 X3. The research results were: application of accounting information systems, utilization of information technology, and internal control influenced employee performance, either partially and simultaneously.
