Abstract

STIKOM PGRI Banyuwangi is an academic institution focused on information technology and computer science, making a modern, responsive, and functional web-based information system essential. The current system is considered less effective in terms of user interface design and ease of information access for the academic community. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a more structured, interactive, and user-oriented web-based information system tailored to the campus’s needs. The selection of STIKOM PGRI Banyuwangi as the research object is based on the relevance of its need for improved web-based systems.This study adopts the prototype method to facilitate the iterative process of designing, testing, and evaluating the system, allowing users to provide direct feedback during development. The system is built using PHP for the back-end, supported by front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS, to produce a dynamic, flexible, and scalable web application. The final objective of this research is to create a campus information system that provides a more intuitive interface, faster access to essential features such as news, announcements, and suggestion forms, and a responsive design that functions well across various devices.

Abstract

As an active educational institution, MA Baiturrahman faces various challenges in managing correspondence archives. The current manual recording system, which involves writing letter data in a traditional agenda book, presents several obstacles that hinder administrative efficiency. This manual approach often results in document damage, data loss, and poorly organized archive storage. Furthermore, the increasing number of letters each year makes this method less effective and prone to errors in recording and retrieving documents. To address these issues, a web-based document archiving system was developed using the Laravel framework and a system development approach based on the Waterfall model. The aim of this research is to design and build a web-based application system to record and manage incoming and outgoing mail archives. The system is expected to enhance work efficiency, accelerate administrative processes, and ensure the neatness, security, and ease of access to archives. The implementation results of this system indicate a 60% improvement in recording efficiency and a 70% reduction in document retrieval time. In addition, user satisfaction testing showed a satisfaction level of 88%. With the introduction of this system, MA Baiturrahman has achieved a more organized, secure, and efficient archiving solution.

Abstract

Educational institutions as learning centers need to be prepared to follow technological developments, especially in the use of information systems that can facilitate work. SMK PGRI Rogojampi faces problems in recording student tardiness which is still done manually, so that the recording process takes a long time, is prone to data loss, and is difficult to search for tardy history. To overcome this, a student tardiness information system is needed that is able to record, store, and manage tardy data in a computerized manner. The system development uses the waterfall method through the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation and coding, testing, to the maintenance stage. The programming language used is PHP with a MySQL database. Data was collected through interviews and observations to ensure the system meets user needs. This study produces a student tardiness information system to help manage tardy data. The test results show that all features in the system run well and according to their functions. The system is able to handle the process of recording, storing, searching, and reporting tardy data accurately. The main features of the system include login and logout, student and class data input, tardy recording, searching for tardy history, and reporting tardy data. In conclusion, the student tardiness information system developed has succeeded in answering the needs of schools in overcoming manual recording problems. The system not only speeds up work processes and reduces the risk of data loss, but also makes it easier to monitor student discipline.

Abstract

Smartphones have now become one of the technologies used every day, can make savings and easy learning media. One of them is parents, by utilizing smartphones parents can monitor and stimulate their children's growth and development, especially in sensory and motoric. Using the application of design thinking methods that produce user interface designs to meet user needs. Through five stages, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Research on the design of the audiolife application user interface for children's sensory and motoric stimulation can answer the challenge of low knowledge and stimulation in children in Indonesia. Children who lack stimulation can experience abnormal growth and development or permanent problems. This application is designed for free, so it can be accessed by all groups. This solution opens up great opportunities for further application product development on a wider scale. This research has great potential to be developed into a superior product that is beneficial for the future of children, relevant for developers, education, and researchers who want to contribute through technology.

Abstract

The increasing number of scientific publications each year poses challenges in managing and processing information. To address this, this study analyzes the application of the Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) model for extractive summarization of scientific articles. BERT, which can understand word context bidirectionally, was used to summarize scientific articles with a dataset of articles related to Natural Language Processing (NLP). Evaluation was performed using ROUGE metrics, which measure the similarity between the model-generated summary and the reference summary. The evaluation results showed that the BERT model produced relevant and accurate summaries, with a precision of 1.00, recall of 0.49, and F1-score of 0.66 on the second article, and precision of 1.00, recall of 0.79, and F1-score of 0.88 on the first article. While the results are promising, challenges remain in the model's ability to capture writing style variations and summarize complex texts. This study demonstrates that BERT is effective for generating coherent automatic summaries, with potential for further development to enhance abstractive summarization quality.

Abstract

This study develops a Progressive Web App (PWA)-based production and distribution management system for garment industries, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and production process transparency. The designed system integrates all production stages—from raw material planning, production scheduling, task allocation, to quality control—featuring real-time monitoring accessible across multiple devices. Using a quantitative approach with development research design, the study involved 30 end-users (10 production managers and 20 garment workers). Data was collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and in-depth interviews, analyzed via descriptive statistics and thematic methods. Evaluation results show average scores of 4.2/5 for usability, 3.8/5 for system security, and 4.0/5 for user satisfaction. Technical testing demonstrated average response time of 1.2 seconds, load time of 2.8 seconds, and offline capability up to 72 hours. Key findings reveal that 85% of respondents rated the app as user-friendly with an intuitive interface, while 78% reported improved team coordination efficiency. However, technical challenges were identified, particularly in data security (only 65% found security features adequate) and limited analytics for strategic decision-making. This research provides practical contributions through affordable technology solutions for small-scale garment businesses, while identifying development areas: (1) multi-factor authentication integration, (2) enhanced offline data backup systems, (3) service worker caching strategy optimization.

Abstract

The online ticketing industry faces challenges in managing fluctuating ticket demand. This study aims to develop an online ticket booking prediction system using the Random Forest algorithm to optimize ticket sales. Using historical ticket booking data, a predictive model is built to project future ticket demand based on variables such as ticket price, booking time, event type, and event location. The data used includes 5,000 randomly selected ticket transactions from online ticketing service providers. The results show that the Random Forest model provides more accurate predictions compared to baseline methods (linear regression and single decision tree). The model achieved MAE of 0.142, RMSE of 0.185, and R² of 0.892, showing significant improvement compared to linear regression (MAE: 0.321; RMSE: 0.398; R²: 0.642) and single decision tree (MAE: 0.218; RMSE: 0.285; R²: 0.754). Statistical testing using paired t-test showed significant difference (p-value < 0.001) between Random Forest and baseline models. These findings indicate that a Random Forest-based prediction system can help ticket providers optimize pricing, inventory management, and ticket sales efficiency, and open up opportunities for the model's application in other sectors.

Abstract

Data is a collection of raw information that can be in the form of symbols, numbers, or words. Supermarkets are a type of modern market that functions as an intermediary between producers and consumers. Along with the increasing convenience of services and payment systems, sales transaction volumes have also increased. Based on this, this study proposes the use of the K-Means algorithm combined with Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) to cluster sales trend patterns. The main purpose of using DTW is to enable the comparison of sales time series that have shifting patterns, thus resulting in a more representative clustering process. The results of the clustering evaluation show that the K-Means configuration with the number of clusters K = 3 produces a Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI) value of 3.119, which indicates a relatively good level of cluster separation and compactness. This finding has important significance because it shows that the DTW-based K-Means approach is able to reveal meaningful sales trend patterns and can be used as a basis for strategic decision-making, such as stock planning, promotions, and more optimal supermarket sales management. Thus, the results of this study imply that the DTW-based K-Means approach can be used as an alternative method for analyzing sales patterns in the retail sector. These findings are expected to assist supermarket management in understanding sales behavior, supporting strategic decision-making, and improving the effectiveness of future inventory and promotional planning.

Abstract

In recent years, there has been little systematic mapping of trends and popular topics in student final projects, particularly in the field of Information Technology at Mercu Buana University. This is important because identifying trends can provide insight into the direction of scientific development and student research interests. This study aims to analyze the dominant trends and topics of the past few years in the final projects of Information Technology students at Mercu Buana University. The research object consists of a collection of titles and abstracts of student final projects from 2019 to 2024, totaling 1677 datasets. The data was collected through internal faculty documentation and compiled into a text-based dataset. The analysis process included the stages of preparation, text pre-processing, feature extraction, and the application of two topic modeling methods with BERTopic and LDA. BERTopic uses transformer-based representation and semantic clustering, while LDA utilizes a probabilistic distribution approach. The evaluation was conducted by comparing topic coherence and prediction accuracy to assess the quality and relevance of the results produced by each method. The results showed that there were 15 main topics. Model evaluation was conducted using a coherence score of 0.4 for LDA with an accuracy rate of 100%, while BERTopic had a coherence score of 0.39 with an accuracy rate of 86.01%.

Abstract

Performance evaluation of the Regency/City Offices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs within the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Central Java Province is an important process that must be conducted objectively and measurably. Common issues in performance assessment include the large number of evaluation criteria, uncertainty in performance values, and the tendency toward subjectivity in the evaluation process. This study aims to compare the performance of Fuzzy Logic Mamdani and Fuzzy Logic Sugeno methods in determining the performance level of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from performance evaluation reports of 35 Regency/City Offices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, using five criteria: performance planning, performance measurement, performance reporting, internal evaluation, and performance achievement and accountability. The implementation of the fuzzy inference system was carried out using MATLAB with the Fuzzy Logic Toolbox. The results of data processing indicate that the obtained performance achievement score is 50%, which falls into the “Fair” category, indicating that the work units have a reasonably good level of performance accountability but still require improvements. The comparative analysis shows that both the Mamdani and Sugeno methods produce the same performance values and categories, indicating that both methods can be accurately applied as decision support systems in determining the performance level of the Ministry of Religious Affairs objectively.
