Abstract

This study was aimed to estimate the immune responses of lambs immunized with heat-killed E. coli O157:H7 in two different doses to induce cellular immune responses against challenge with virulent type. Twenty lambs of both sexes were randomly divided into four equal groups (5 animals in each group).  Group A: were immunized subcutaneously with 2 ml of heat killed vaccine with a dose of 1X108 CFU/ml mixed with equal volume of adjuvant twice (primary and booster dose) at two week intervals. Group B- five lambs were immunized with a same manner of group A but with a vaccine containing 1X1010 CFU/ml with adjuvant. Group C- lambs were injected S/C with 2 ml of sterile PBS mixed with equal volume of adjuvant twice in two weeks. Group D – lambs were left without any treatment. Post immunization all lambs examined for clinical signs, Moreover serum at 0, 7,14 ,21 , 28, 42, 56, and 70 days for estimation of Interferon gamma (INF-Y) and IgG levels by ELISA test. Results  showed  increases in Interferon gamma (INF-Y) values significantly in the two immunized groups  at 7,14, 28, and 48 days (0.270± 0.0052, 0.0.310± 0.0076, 0.365± 0.007, 0.428± 0.0089,  0.263± 0.007 ,0.268± 0.005, 0.339± 0.0035 ,0.409 ±0. 0035 ,0.489± 0.003)  respectively, compared with control groups,  while  results revealed  that the interferon values in group B which immunized   with  dose 1×1010  CFU/ml  was significantly  increased  compared with  its value in  lambs immunization  with dose  1×108   CFU/ml  at days  14 as well as 28, and 42.Keywords: Killed vaccine, E. coli O157:H7, Interferon gamma (INF-Y), IgG.

Abstract

In present paper, calculation of refractive index values at different temperature ranges of some cosmetics face powders before and after adding polyethylene glycol (PEG) polymer have been measured. The temperatures range values were (30, 35, 65) °C. The results show that, the index of refraction values decreased with increasing of temperatures in that thermal range, that is lead to decrease the transparency of medium and make it more burnish. By mixing method a blend solution have been prepared and tested on face powders and taking a best result of absorbing UV-rays all colloidal diagnosed by (FTIR) spectrums. Keywords: Cosmetics, Face Powders, PEG and Refractive Index.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus and depression are so prevalent diseases, when diabetes comorbid depression, it results in insufficient control of blood sugar with severe complications that increase prevalence and severity of depression. Aims of study: To reveal the prevalence of depression among patients with type two diabetes and to Identify the association of depression with complications of diabetes in comparison with non-depressed patients.   Patients and methods: Cross sectional random sample of diabetic patients in AL-Nasiriya diabetic center and AL-Hussein hospital and private clinic at duration of months from May 2017 to April 2018 were exposed for (Zung self-rating depression scale) with supervision of specialist psychiatrist and physician, physical examination and investigations were achieved by senior physician. Results: (51) patients of sample were males (42) patients were female (37.1%) were single, (37.6%) were illetrant and non-employed. most common complications were (ischemic heart disease (39%) cerebral vascular accident (42%), diabetic foot were (25.8). They were treated in different hypoglycemic drug (oral hypoglycemic, insulin and both). Ethic: All patients were given oral consent, their relative also agree to achieve the screening test, physical examination. Conclusion: Diabetes type 2 and its complications were positively correlated to depression with moderate of high severity in comparison with normal patients. Keywords: DT2, Depression, Complication Nasiriya center of diabetes, Iraq, Zung-self ratting scale.

Abstract

The problem of research is that there is a problem in the weakness of possessing the ability of speed and agility in the players of the University of Kufa football stadiums, which indicates a state of weakness in the performance of skills, especially in the formation of a tactical group in the event of a rebound and rapid, because the game needs to speed in the acquisition of the ball and move To the stadium of competitors and this causes a lack of investment of these attacks and thus wasting the opportunity to achieve a goal for the benefit of the team, the objectives of the research preparation of exercises speed response motor interaction with agility to develop the speed of departure for the players of the University of Kufa futsal and to identify the impact The research community of the Kufa University football team identified 24 players as a football player. The sample of the research was chosen in the simple random way and in the drawing style of the original search community. (83.88%).The researchers conducted the pretest after all the conditions were met on 15/11/2017 corresponding to Wednesday and included the application of the tests of the speed of the motor response and agility to the members of the research sample as explained Previously. In order to determine the level reached by the players and after the completion of the exercise speed and motor response and agility on the experimental sample, the researchers carried out the post-test of all members of the research sample in the control and experimental groups, at 9 am on Saturday 20/1/2018 showed the exercises overlapping between The motor response speed and agility used by the experimental group improved the level of motor response speed and agility at a better level than the control group, indicating the effectiveness of these exercises. The experimental group achieved progress in comparison with the control group (motor speed response and agility) by achieving the specified distance within less time. The need for the attention of the operators of education and training to identify the principles and foundations that will develop physical and motor potential to achieve the goals. The need to prepare and design the exercises in the training curricula in accordance with a system that ensures upgrading the aspects of speed and agility in general because of its great impact in building a base on which a football player in the halls of possession of various other skills. Keywords: Overlapping motor, Speed response, Agility exercises and futsal.

Abstract

This research aims to detect the prevalence of fim A genotypes I, Ib, II, III, IV and V among Porphyromonas  gingivalis related with periodontitis. Amplification of 16S rRNA gene showed that out of 150 DNA samples that extracted from subgingival plaque specimens of patients with chronic periodontitis only 40 DNA specimens were belonged to P. gingivalis and DNA sequencing demonstrated 98% homologous with P. gingivalis strain CP38 16S rRNA gene, partial sequence. fimA type IV gene was the most predominance with 27.5% followed by fimA type III with12.5%  while fimA type II show up with the lowest percentage (5%) while fimA type Ib was not identified. This finding denoted that  P. gingivalis that possess  fimA type IV was the most importance pathogens associated with  chronic periodontitisKeywords: P. gingivalis, Fim A genotypes, Periodontitis.

Abstract

To uncover the effect of the crude extracts to the phenolic, alkaloid and terpenoid compounds of Ricinus communis L. against some gram-negative Pathogenic Bacteria. Antibacterial activity of the crude Phenolic, Alkaloid and Terpenoid of Ricinus communis L. was determined in vitro using agar well diffusion methods against some gram-negative pathogenic bacteria. Obtained results showed that active compounds of Ricinus communis L. possess wide ranges of antibacterial activity against gram-negative bacteria. This investigation exhibits that we can presume that the effect of active compounds in Ricinus communis L. has a distinctive effect on various pathogenic life forms in various concentrations. Alkaloid compounds extracted from Ricinus communis L. leaves had shown effective antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Salmonella and Enterobacter .While, terpenoid compounds   it was more effective to Enterobacter, Shegilla and Pseudomonas. Keywords: Antibacterial; Ricinus communis L; Pathogenic Bacteria; Gram-negative Bacteria.
