Abstract

Background: Baby's sleep plays a very important role in the growth and development of babies because when they are asleep, growth hormone develops three times more than when they are awake. Babies need enough time for their sleep duration. There are several cases of long sleep babies that are not normal. One of the stimulations that can be given in this case is baby massage. Purpose: This study aims to observe whether or not there is an effect of baby massage on the baby's sleep duration. Research Method: Pre-experimental with the type of one group pretest-posttest design. With a sample of 20 respondents. Inclusion criteria: Mothers who are willing to have their babies as respondents, babies in good health aged 1-12 months, babies sleep less than 12 hours. Exclusion criteria in this study were infants who had congenital abnormalities, infants who had a fever >38 degrees Celsius, infants who were immunized <4 days. The data processing used in this study is the Wilcoxon test. Results: the results of observations in studies that were carried out every day for 7 days with a massage duration of approximately 30 minutes obtained a p value of 0.00. Conclusion: Baby massage affects the baby's sleep duration.

Abstract

Background: Pain after cesarean section surgery often results in moderate and severe pain for up to 48 hours. To overcome this pain, pain management is very necessary, namely by providing pre-emptive analgesics, one of the postoperative pain management which refers to drug administration before the pain occurs, in connection with the prevention of sensitization of the central and peripheral nervous system. The use of paracetamol as part of a multimodal technique in postoperative patients can increase the analgesic potency. Methods: This type of experimental research has been carried out on 16 patients who will undergo sectio caesarea surgery. Pre-emptive administration of paracetamol 1000 mg intravenously was given 30 minutes before surgery or pre-incision, after which the pain level was measured using a Numerical rating scale (NRS) by means of observation and interviews 8 hours after surgery, 16 hours and 24 hours. In this study, the data were processed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the Wilcoxon test. Results: The results showed that the majority of respondents experienced moderate pain. This is proven by the majority of 8 hours postoperatively, 13 respondents (81.3%) experienced moderate pain and 11 respondents (68.8%) experienced moderate pain, while at 24 hours the majority had mild pain with 13 respondents (81.3 %). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, giving 1000 mg intravenous pre-emptive for postoperative cesarean section pain with spinal anesthesia was effective in reducing postoperative cesarean section pain

Abstract

Background : According to Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data in 2018, the process of giving birth by caesarean section in Indonesia reached 17.6% of all births. Delivery through sectio caesarea in Indonesia has increased and will result in an increase in the use of spinal anesthesia which has complications in the form of Post Dural Puncture Headache (PDPH). Postdural Puncture Headache (PDPH) is an iatrogenic complication of spinal anesthesia caused by puncture or laceration of the dura mater that causes cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage. Many factors influence the incidence of PDPH, one of which is the size of the spinal needle. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference between the use of 26G and 27G quincke needles on the incidence of PDPH in post sectio caesarea patients with spinal anesthesia at dr Murjani Sampit Hospital. Research methodology: This study uses a quantitative research type with an experimental design. And the sample in this study amounted to 66 patients who were divided into 2 sample groups according to inclusive and exclusive criteria. The incidence of PDPH on the 26G quincke needle was 3 respondents (9.1%) and the 27G quincke was 4 respondents (12.1%). The most common sites of pain were in the frontal section, and the severity was assessed using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Results: on the 26G quincke needle, 3 people (9.09%) experienced PDPH and 4 people (12.1%) with the 27G quincke needle. In the analysis, it was found that p-value 0.801 > 0.05, which means that there is no significant difference between the 26G and 27G Quincke needle sizes on the incidence of PDPH in post-sectio caesarea patients with spinal anesthesia at Dr Murjani Sampit Hospital. Conclusion: there is no difference in the use of needles of the quincke no 26G type with the quincke no 27G on the incidence of PDPH in post sectio caesarea patients with spinal anesthesia.

Abstract

Tracheostomy is the act of creating a stoma or hole so that air can enter the lungs by bypassing the upper airway. Tracheostomy can be performed as an operative procedure which aims to create a new airway in the trachea by making an incision or incision in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th tracheal rings. Case study design: The type of research used is a descriptive observational research design with a case study approach in patients diagnosed with respiratory system disorders, Tracheostomy wounds, namely a research design that includes an intensive study of one research unit: for example one patient, family group, group, or institution. Although the number of subjects tends to be small, the number of variables studied is very broad. The focus of this case study is "diagnosing respiratory system disorders with tracheostomy wounds. Types and methods of data collection and data collection techniques used in writing the results of this case study are primary and secondary data. The results show that the tracheal stoma post laryngectomy is a permanent tracheostomy. Tracheal cartilage is directed to the surface of the skin, attached to the neck. The rigidity of the cartilage keeps the stoma open so that a tracheostomy tube (canule) is not needed. Tracheal stoma without laryngectomy: is a temporary tracheostomy. The trachea and upper airway are intact but there is obstruction. A tracheostomy tube (canule) made of metal or non-metal is used (especially in patients who are receiving radiation and during.

Abstract

Tinea capitis is the most common dermatophytosis in children. Culture examination is still the gold standard for confirming the diagnosis of tinea capitis, but this examination couldn’t be always done, especially in areas that did not have  mycological examination. There is very little data and literature on infants.a male infant, 2 months old, with complaints of red patches on the scalp, skin around the red area, peeling, hair not growing since 1 month ago.  Dermatological examination of the vertex region revealed a solitary erythema macular efflorescence, well-defined, round in shape, 2- 6 cm in diameter, with dull grayish hair, 0.5-1 cm above the scalp surface, covered with thin scales, and yellowish crusts. Wood's lamp examination showed greenish fluorescence. 10% KOH examination of hair taken at the lesion site revealed no hyphae or spores. The patient was differential diagnosed as gray patch tinea capitis and treated with 2% ketoconazole ointment. The patient controlled 2 weeks later and the complaint improved, the crusts disappeared and the red patches shrunk. Therefore, therapy was continued. Diagnosis of tinea capitis in infant requires culture examination with complete materials at the first level of health care facilities, in order to managed it properly.

Abstract

In Indonesia, due to poor environmental sanitation, worm sufferers will gradually become malnourished. According to WHO in 2017, more than 270 million preschool-age children and more than 600 million school-age children lived in areas infected with worms. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge about washing hands before eating and the incidence of worms in children at SDN 040517 Tigajumpa, Barusjahe District, Karo Regency in 2021. Worms or intestinal worms are a collection of symptoms of health problems due to the presence of parasitic worms in the body. With the Independent Variable, namely elementary school children's knowledge about washing their hands. and the Dependent Variable is the incidence of worms. The type of research used was analytical observational with a cross sectional approach method where the population was 40 people and the sample was 30 people using a total sampling technique. The type of data used is primary data taken directly from respondents using a questionnaire, and secondary data obtained from the principal of SDN 040517 Tigajumpa. The statistical test used is the chi-square test α=0.05. Based on the research results, it was found that the majority of elementary school children's knowledge about washing their hands before eating was 65% and those who had never experienced worms were 35%. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test obtained a value of p = 0.00. This means that the p value is smaller than α (0.05), which means there is a relationship between elementary school children's knowledge and the incidence of worms. and thus Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, namely there is a relationship between knowledge and the incidence of worms. It is recommended for children who attend school at SDN 040517 Tigajumpa, Barusjahe District, Karo Regency to cultivate the habit of washing their hands before eating, wearing footwear, cutting their nails and regularly taking worm medicine every six months to prevent worms.
