Abstract

This research aims to develop student worksheet with guided inquiry-based to train student critical thinking skill on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution matters based on validity, practicality and effectiveness. This type of research isresearch development depend on the 4D model, but only to develop stage. The instruments usedisreview sheets, validationsheet, pretest and posttest critical thinking skills of sheet and student questionnaire responses. The data sources from two chemistry lectures and chemistry teacher. The limited trial was conducted on 20 students of X gradeXI MIPA 6 SMAN 1 Manyar then the data can be analyzed using descriptive and quantitative. The results of this reasearch indicate the content validity of 83.80% in the category is very feasible and the construct validity of the percentage of 76.6% in the feasible category. The result of questionnaire from students shows that 87,5% of students give positive response to student worksheet that developed with very feasible criteria. The result of the students' thinking skill test has a range of 73.3% -86.7%, so that the developed student worksheetis categorized as feasible.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility of lab work KIT Reaction Rate Chemistry that used as an intructional media to train the science process skills on the reaction rate matter of XI grade, the validity seen from the validation requirements, the practicality through student responses to lab work KIT reaction rate chemistry, the effectiveness through student learning outcomes and student activity observation results. This was a research development by Borg & Gall, the research model which is limited to preliminary field testing stage. Praliminary field testing conducted on 12 students of XI grade Science 1 SMAN 2 Mojokerto. The instrument that used in this research is the research paper sheet, validation sheet, student response questionnaire, student activity observation sheet, pretest and posttest sheet. The results showed that the developed of lab work KIT reaction rate chemistry was stated feasible on the validity requirement by obtaining an average percentage of 85.22%. Qualified practicality shown from student’s responses on student interest to lab work KIT aspect obtained an average percentage of 97.92%, on the aspect of easy to understanding the matter obtained an average percentage of 93.75%, and on the aspect of easy to use of lab work KIT as instructional media obtained an average percentage of 95.85%. The feasibility of effectiveness shown from student learning outcomes in which 11 students passed the grade individually so that classical completeness reaches 91.67% with gain included in the "Moderate" to "High" category and student activity observation results get an overall average percentage of 89.81%. Keywords: Lab work KIT, Intructional media, Science Procces Skills, Reaction Rate.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of learning and students' critical thinking skills after the implementation of cooperative learning model type Group Investigation on matter of reaction rate. This research type is Pre Experiment (pre experimental design) and research design used is One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. Target of this research is student of class XI MIPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Manyar. The instrumentsused are an observation sheet of cooperative learningmodeltype Group Investigation and sheet of pretest and postest of critical thinking skill. The results showed that (1) The implementation of cooperative learning model type Group Investigationis in good and very good category with percentage in every phase is:in phase 1 was 87.5%; phase 2 was 95.84%; phase 3 which contains stage 1 and stage 2 of the Group Investigation was 87.5%; Phase 4 which contains stage 3, stage4, and stage5 of the Group Investigation was 95.84%; phase 5 which contains stage 6 of Group Investigation was100%; (2) Students’ critical thinking skill in terms of N-gain shows that 85% of students get high N-gain category and 15% of students get N-gain in moderate category.
