Abstract

This study aims to analyze gender-based differences in Employee Green Behavior (EGB) among Muslim employees. EGB refers to pro-environmental actions voluntarily undertaken by employees in support of environmental sustainability in the workplace. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design and involved 226 Muslim respondents (111 men and 115 women) from various industrial sectors in Indonesia. The instrument used was a five-item EGB scale adapted from Norton et al. (2015), with a reliability of α = 0.83. Data analysis was conducted using an independent t-test to test differences in EGB scores based on gender. The results showed that there were significant differences in most dimensions of EGB, with female employees consistently showing higher scores than male employees. The largest difference was in the habit of bringing reusable cutlery/drinking utensils. This finding reflects the influence of gender identity and religiosity in shaping environmentally friendly behavior. The Islamic perspective that places humans as caliphs on earth is an important ethical foundation for Muslim employees in internalizing ecological responsibility. This study suggests the importance of developing sustainability programs that are sensitive to gender differences and religiosity, as well as the need for specific strategies to increase male employees' engagement in environmentally friendly behaviors in order to achieve organizational sustainability goals more inclusively and effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of promotions, online customer review, and online customer rating on purchasing decisions on the Shopee application among students in Pontianak City. Along with the rapid development of e-commerce and digitalization, Shopee has become one of the most widely used online shopping platforms in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to 200 respondents who are Shopee app users. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis to examine the relationship between independent variables (promotions, online customer review, and online customer rating) and purchase decisions as the dependent variable. The results of the study indicate that multiple linear regression analysis shows that promotions, online customer review, and online customer rating have a positive influence on purchasing decisions. Based on the F-test results, it was found that F calculated = 63.029 and significance 0.000, indicating that all three variables simultaneously have a significant influence on purchasing decisions. The t-test results show that promotions (X1), online customer review (X2), and online customer rating (X3) all have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. These findings provide important insights for e-commerce platforms such as Shopee to continue optimizing features that enhance the user shopping experience, such as the quality and quantity of reviews and ratings from customers, as well as developing appropriate promotional strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze learning difficulties in relation to students' levels of conceptual understanding—categorized as conceptually understood, misconceptions, and lack of understanding—among 11th-grade science students (Grade XI MIPA) in the Teupah Barat District, specifically concerning the topic of hydrocarbons. A Two-Tier Multiple Choice diagnostic test was employed as the primary instrument. The study utilized a qualitative descriptive method. The population comprised all Grade XI MIPA students from senior high schools in the Teupah Barat District. The sample included 40 students from SMA Negeri 1 Teupah Barat and SMA Negeri 2 Teupah Barat, selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics to process and interpret the students' responses. The results indicate that the Two-Tier Multiple Choice diagnostic test was effective in identifying students' conceptual understanding and in uncovering alternative conceptions through dominant incorrect answer choices that diverged from scientifically accurate concepts. The findings reveal that among the participants, 64% demonstrated conceptual understanding, 23% exhibited misconceptions, and 13% showed a lack of understanding regarding the topic of hydrocarbons. These results highlight the diagnostic tool's utility in pinpointing areas where conceptual reinforcement is necessary to enhance students’ comprehension in chemistry education.

Abstract

The rapid development of the e-commerce industry in Indonesia, particularly Lazada, has changed consumer shopping patterns. In the world of e-commerce, brand image and brand reputation are key factors influencing consumer purchase decision. Increasing competition among e-commerce platforms requires companies to strengthen their brand image and reputation in order to attract consumers and increase loyalty. This study aims to analyze the influence of brand image and brand reputation on purchase decision on the Lazada platform in Pontianak City. This study uses a quantitative approach with an association method, where data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 100 respondents who had made purchases on Lazada. The analysis techniques used are multiple linear regression, validity and reliability tests, as well as classical assumption tests such as normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. The results of the F-test in this study indicate that brand image and brand reputation simultaneously have a significant influence on purchase decision on Lazada. The results of the t-test show that brand image and brand reputation have a positive and significant partial influence on purchase decision. This highlights the importance for companies to pay attention to and improve their brand image and reputation in creating a positive shopping experience for consumers. This study provides new insights into how brand image and brand reputation simultaneously influence purchase decision in the context of e-commerce in Indonesia, particularly on the Lazada platform, and can serve as a foundation for companies to formulate more effective marketing strategies in facing increasingly intense competition.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, financial technology, and financial inclusion on the financial performance of SMEs in the service and trade sectors in Pontianak City. The background of this research lies in the importance of financial literacy and inclusion in improving business sustainability, as well as the limited utilization of financial technology among SME actors. This research employs an associative method with a quantitative approach. The population consists of all SMEs in the service and trade sectors in Pontianak City, totaling 2,218 units. A sample of 150 respondents was selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, and F-test. The results of the F-test indicate that financial literacy, financial technology, and financial inclusion simultaneously have a significant effect on financial performance. The t-test results show that financial literacy and financial inclusion have a positive and significant partial effect on financial performance, while financial technology does not have a significant influence. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.071, indicating that the three independent variables explain only 7.1% of the variation in financial performance, while the remaining 92.9% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening financial literacy and inclusion among SME actors to enhance their financial performance. Meanwhile, the use of financial technology still requires optimization through proper education and guidance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using PhET (Physics Education Technology) simulation media on enhancing students’ conceptual understanding of heat and heat transfer at SMP Negeri 1 Cot Girek. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group type. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, involving a total of 50 students Class VII A as the experimental group and Class VII B as the control group, each consisting of 25 students. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test administered as both a pretest and a posttest to measure students' conceptual understanding. The results showed that the average posttest score in the experimental class was 71.4, while in the control class it was only 52.8. Hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test on the posttest data revealed a significance value of 0.001 ( 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two classes after the treatment. Meanwhile, the N-gain scores showed an improvement of 71% (high category) in the experimental class and 54% (medium category) in the control class. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of PhET simulation media is effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding of heat and heat transfer, especially in schools with limited laboratory facilities.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of service quality and facilities on loyalty through patient satisfaction at Anggrek Clinic in Pontianak. An associative approach was used with 100 respondents, and data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), including Convergent Validity, Discriminant Validity, Construct Reliability, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that service quality and facilities have a significant simultaneous influence on patient satisfaction (47.2%) and loyalty (53.3%). Specifically, service quality positively and significantly influences patient satisfaction, while facilities significantly influence patient satisfaction. Additionally, patient satisfaction has a direct positive influence on loyalty. However, service quality and facilities do not directly influence loyalty. Indirect effect analysis shows that both service quality and facilities positively influence loyalty through patient satisfaction as an intervening variable. Further research is recommended to expand the sample by involving different health clinics throughout West Kalimantan to improve the generalizability of the results. Further qualitative studies may provide deeper insights into patients' perceptions and experiences, which may help improve service quality, patient satisfaction, and loyalty in healthcare settings.

Abstract

This article examines the application of the principle of publicity in the education policy of the Aceh Provincial Government, with a particular focus on the teacher quality improvement program in rural areas. The principle of publicity refers to openness and transparency in the dissemination of policy information to the public, serving as a critical element in promoting participation and accountability. This study aims to evaluate the extent to which policy communication and publication processes are conducted transparently, and how these processes influence public understanding and engagement. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through policy document analysis, content review of online and print media, and in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including education department officials, school principals, teachers, and representatives of civil society. The findings reveal that publicity plays a strategic role in shaping public perception of education policies, particularly in enhancing the legitimacy and trust of the community toward teacher capacity-building programs. However, the study also identifies a major challenge: limited access to information in rural areas due to inadequate digital infrastructure. This digital divide hinders equitable access to policy information and restricts meaningful public participation in the policy process. These findings underscore the necessity of developing communication strategies that go beyond digital media, incorporating local approaches such as community forums, local radio broadcasts, and engagement with community leaders. In doing so, the principle of publicity can be implemented more inclusively and effectively to support equitable and transformative education development in Aceh Province.
