Abstract

Writing this article focuses on suffering as a process of purifying faith in God, analyzing the interpretation of the Book of Job (2:1-10). Human life is never free from suffering. Suffering becomes an instrument accompanying the journey of human pilgrimage. In experiencing suffering, humans often ask whether God is being unfair. Where is God when humans suffer? These questions arrive at thoughts that provide arguments that God does not exist so that humans continue to suffer. This research aims to invite every human being to understand and interpret suffering as a purification process of faith in God. The method used in this research is interpretation analysis. The findings in this study are that through suffering Faith in God is increasingly purified. The all-loving and merciful God never allows humans to perish. And it is proven that He never allowed Satan to take Job's life.

Abstract

In the digital era, namely 4.0 and starting to enter 5.0, is an era where all things can be accessed and can even be done through technology. The rapid development of technology today, brings positive and negative things. The church itself must essentially be a missionary church. The presence of the church is a representation of God on earth. Therefore, the church will continue to adapt to various developments accompanied by technological advances. However, with increasingly sophisticated technological advances in this digitalization era, many churches have begun to discard and replace true theological traditions. Not only that, currently various forms of church activities are also experiencing changes, for example online worship, missionary services that can be reached at this time can only be through the internet. therefore, the purpose of this writing is that as a missionary church it cannot limit itself or even cover itself with the changes that occur which are influenced by current technological advances. The method that the writer uses is qualitative-descriptive by using related literatures.

Abstract

Until today, Christian missions are a responsibility of the Christian community that should not be neglected. However, it is inevitable that the proclamation of the Gospel cannot always be accepted by everyone, especially Gen Z. Compared with social action, Christian missions are seen as bad by Gen Z. In fact, they are the largest community that has not been reached by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Then a question arises from the author? How can they be won to Christ? Through literature analysis, the author will propose a diaspora mission and social action to reach Gen Z which is expected to encourage them to also reach out to others. This can be achieved by the author in 4 stages, namely first, the author provides an overview of Gen Z. After that, the author will provide an overview of the diaspora mission. Then, the author provides an analysis related to diaspora missions and Gen Z. Finally, the author will conclude that diaspora missions and social action are one of the proposals for reaching Gen Z and it is hoped that they can also reach other people to the Lord Jesus.

Abstract

This research uses a qualitative descriptive method to understand the phenomenon of digital natives, Society 5.0, and the role of church missions in cyberphysical evangelism in the Society 5.0 era. Data was obtained from books, journals and websites with integrity. The analysis results show that in Society 5.0, churches have the opportunity to play a role in more effective evangelism to digital natives who are increasingly connected digitally. Churches need to adapt to technological developments, use cyberphysicalmissions wisely, and ensure that online communications are in line with Christian values. The use of technologies such as VR, AR, and AI can be relevant tools to evangelize digital natives, taking into account the characteristics of those who like the instant, individualistic, and creative. A focus on online communities and social media can also increase the effectiveness of evangelism. In Society 5.0, churches need to take an active role in using technology for effective evangelistic purposes.

Abstract

Missiology and the spread of the Christian faith in Indonesia should have specifics, because in the Indonesian context, missiology and the spread of Christianity are directly related to the spread of culture in Indonesia. When working with Batak culture in Sumatra, it is necessary to use culturally sensitive missiology. This article uses a qualitative method with a dialectical approach between the Gospel and culture. The results showed that Batak culture, especially Mangongkal Holi, can be used to carry out missionary movements among the Batak people so that the Gospel can be accepted and explained from a biblical and cultural point of view
