Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the profits generated from products processed from bamboo sourced from the Forest Area of Mareje Bonga, Central Lombok, Indonesia. It is expected to bring several benefits, particularly to improve the livelihood of the communities inside and outside the area of the forest. This research used a survey method. The surveys were carried out with semi-structured interviews and field observation to bamboo locations, bamboo growers, bamboo processors, and bamboo traders. These primary data were completed with secondary data. Collected data were analyzed accordingly by applying several analyses, such as descriptive analysis, descriptive statistics, and profit.  The study revealed that bamboos from the area of Mareje Bonga Forest are marketed inside and outside the area.  The bamboos are then processed into several bamboo products of high and low added values or profits. Inside the area of the forest, a higher profit was generated by large buckets.  Outside the forest area, three bamboo products were promising for their profits, i.e., gazebo, set bench, and lazy bench.  There are more types of bamboo products and more profitable bamboo products outside the forest area than inside.  The novelty of this study is on the finding that more profitable products are located at a longer distance from its resources.  This study brings several implications in economics, environment, and policy making.

Abstract

Healthy eating patterns and physical activity are two crucial factors that influence physical fitness, especially among junior high school students. This study utilizes a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to explore the relationship between healthy eating, physical activity, and physical fitness. Relevant articles were selected based on inclusion criteria, such as focusing on junior school students, using empirical data, and being published within the last 10 years. The results reveal that a healthy diet rich in nutrients, such as complex carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and minerals, significantly contributes to improving students’ physical endurance and bodily functions. Regular physical activity, such as exercise, has been shown to enhance muscle strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular function. Furthermore, the combination of healthy eating and physical activity demonstrates a significant synergistic effect on physical fitness, creating metabolic balance and reducing the risk of obesity and non-communicable diseases. This study emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach in consistently applying healthy eating patterns and physical activity among junior high school students. The implementation of nutrition education and physical activity programs in schools is a key recommendation to improve students' physical fitness.

Abstract

This paper examines a substantial yet distributed body of research on outbound tourism from China in the hospitality sector. To ascertain the general performance and research themes in this area, we used bibliometric and content analyses on 1,484 peer-reviewed English articles published between 2008 and 2024. Co-occurrence analysis was used to identify four key research themes: (1) Factors affecting Chinese tourists' decision to travel abroad, (2) Economic Determinants of inhouse and Cross-Border Investment, (3) Business and Stakeholder Strategy, and (4) Technology and Innovation-Driven Markets. Factors affecting Chinese tourists' decision to travel abroad mainly consist of three subthemes: determinants of Chinese satisfaction behaviors, experience in niche tourism and special events, and impacts from social media platforms. Subthemes pertaining to Economic Determinants of in-house and Cross-Border Investment involve politics and government direction. The subthemes of Business and Stakeholder Strategy determinants primarily focus on tourism stakeholder outcomes, stakeholder relationship quality, and China’s tourism destination trust. Subthemes within Technology and Innovation-Driven Markets include how they transform the tourism market in several significant ways. This work enhances our understanding of the progress, prediction of the future and limitations of research on China Outbound Tourism.

Abstract

This research examines the factors affecting the quality of e-learning and student learning outcomes at Universitas Terbuka. We sought to investigate the effect of these variables on the quality of e-learning and observe its impact on student learning outcomes. This study adopts a quantitative approach, where questionnaires are distributed through Google Forms and distributed directly to respondents to assess factors affecting the quality of e-learning and student learning outcomes.  The study examined a sample size of 96 students across five regional offices at Universitas Terbuka. The statistical technique used for the analysis is linear regression in SPSS software. The study results indicate that media and material quality positively and significantly impact e-learning quality, while ease of use and information quality show no significant effect. Additionally, ease of use, information quality, material quality and media quality do not significantly affect learning outcomes. However, e-learning quality demonstrates a positive and significant influence on student learning outcomes.
