Abstract

Kearifan lokal merupakan perilaku positif manusia dalam berhubungan dengan alam dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tahap-tahap pelaksanaan upacara meneppuh babah pada masyarakat pakpak, untuk mengetahui tradisi dan kearifan lokal apa saja yang terdapat pada tradisi meneppuh babah pada masyarakat pakpak. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori kearifan loakal Sibarani (2012:114). Adapun kesimpulan yang di dapat dari penelitian ini adalah tahap-tahapan upacara meneppuh babah, memasuki rumah baru, menaikan tiang, acara doa, acara memberikan ulos, memberangkatkan ujian dan lain-lain, acara ini memberi makan tukang pada pagi hari dan setelah selesai membangun rumah

Abstract

Sumatera Utara merupakan masyarakat multi etnis. Populasi etnis terbesar adalah Batak yang terbagi ke beberapa sub etnis salah satunya adalah Mandailing yang berada di Kawasan Tapanuli Selatan, Sumatera bagian Tenggara. Komunitas Mandailing secara umum adalah masyarakat yang sangat peka dan peduli terhadap nilai-nilai adat di setiap rutinitas kehidupan. Adapun yang menjadi latar belakang topik kajian ini adalah sebuah tradisi lisan di tengah komunitas masyarakat Mandailing yang disebut dengan martahi. Sebuah prosesi adat yang dilaksanakan ketika ada masyarakat yang akan melaksanakan horja atau pesta yang biasa disebut Suhut, maka seluruh anggota keluarga akan bermusyawarah kepada para tetua adat menyampaikan maksud sekaligus meminta bantuan untuk kemudian disampaikan kepada masyarakat. Pelaksanaan martahi adalah sebelum dilaksanakannya upacara perkawinan sebagai bagian dari persiapan horja. Martahi menjadi momen yang sangat penting dalam pernikahan masyarakat Mandailing ketika ingin menikahkan anaknya. Martahi sebagai tradisi musyawarah dan tolong menolong bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bantuan untuk kebutuhan acara pernikahan. Dalam pelaksanaan martahi, suhut akan mengundang kerabat dan masyarakat desa. Sarana wacana yang akan dijadikan kajian dalam penelitian ini berasal dari teks hobar, yaitu pesan yang disampaikan secara lisan dengan cara monolog, berpidato, dan berpantun serta pesan moral yang luas dan memiliki filosofi. Pesan moral akan digali dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Mandailing memiliki nilai-nilai yang kuat dalam membangun komunikasi dan kerjasama. Sangat teliti dalam menentukan pilihan serta menjunjung tinggi budaya dan mampu melahirkan pesan moral yang bermanfaat di setiap lini kehidupan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the analysis of the analytical exposition text structure in the editorial of a daily newspaper analysis.This study used descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data is daily editorial analysis for the months of July, August, and September 2021. The data collection technique in this study is a literature study by collecting literature sources. The data analysis technique used in this study is data that has been collected by researchers from data sources. In the data analysis, the researcher uses data analysis with data reduction methods (data reduction), data presentation (data display) and conclusions (verification) in Sugiyono (2017:247-252). Data reduction method (data reduction) is a form of analysis that sharpens, categorizes, directs, discards unnecessary, and organizes data in such a way that the final conclusions can be examined and verified. Phase of presenting data (data display) is an activity of making research results that have been carried out so that the data collected can be understood and analyzed in accordance with the desired goals. The conclusion (verification) is the idea reached at the end or the result of the conversation.Thus, the analytical exposition text structure in the daily newspaper editorial analysis proves that the editorial can be analyzed based on structure and language so that the editorial reader can understand more deeply about the problems that occur.

Abstract

Toba Batak culture has a variety of unique and distinctive cultural riches. This can be seen from the cultural elements that are different from other cultures. One of the Toba Batak cultural traditions that is still preserved today, namely Umpasa. The richness of the Toba Batak culture still exists today. Umpasa is an oral tradition in the form of rhymes used by the Toba Batak cultural community to convey messages in the form of wishes, hopes, and other life values. This Toba Batak oral literature is used by local people on certain occasions. One of them is Umpasa in the Saur Matua ritual. In this context, Umpasa saur matua expresses the feelings experienced and expresses compassion for the events that occurred. In addition, the umpasa used also contains various values, such as religious values, namely the presence of God in life, family values, namely in conveying the umpasa there is a family relationship seen from the family line, and the value of deliberation, namely upholding mutual respect between relatives.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how "The Effect of Copy The Master's Method on Poetry Reading Skills of Class VII MTs PAB 2 Students". The location of this research was carried out at MTs PAB 2 Sampali Jalan. Black Market No. 69 Sampali Kec. Percut Sei Tuan. The population of this study were all classes VII-1 and VII-4 which amounted to 140 people. The experimental class or class that uses the Copy The Master method is class VII-1 with 35 students, while the control class or class without using the Copy The Master method is class VII-2 with 35 students. The method used in this research is the experimental method. In this research, a test instrument is used in the form of a poetry reading practice test. After calculating and processing the data carried out in the experimental class, the highest score was 11 people with a score of 70-84 and the lowest score was 10 people with a score of 70 and an average of 75.30 (good). While in the control class, the highest score was 1 student with a score of 70-84 and the lowest score was 1 student with a value of 0-49 and an average of 57.13 (enough). From the above results, we get tcount > ttable (6.98 > 1.71). Thus Ha is accepted. So in other words, the effect of the Copy The Master method on the poetry reading skills of class VII MTs PAB 2 Sampali students.
