Abstract

21st-century learning requires the younger generation to master critical thinking skills in order to face complex global challenges. However, at SMAN 1 Tebo, students' critical thinking skills are still low due to uninteresting teaching materials. Therefore, it is necessary to update teaching materials and learning models, such as E-LKPD based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL), which can increase students' active participation, deepen their understanding of physics concepts, and encourage analytical and problem-solving skills. The ethnoscience approach is also expected to integrate local wisdom to increase the relevance of physics materials to students' daily lives. This study aims to identify the need for teaching materials, assess students' critical thinking skills, and determine effective learning models to overcome them.

Abstract

Education in the 21st century demands various skills that a person must master, facing these challenges, one of the skills that can be trained students is the ability and skills of creative thinking (Creativity), following the 21st-century skills needed by students, namely the 4C skills. This study aims to design a Student Worksheet (LKPD) integrated with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to facilitate students' creative thinking skills in physics learning, especially in alternative energy materials. The research method used is development research with the ADDIE model. The subjects of this research product trial are students from class X and physics teachers of SMAN 1 Padang Ganting. Meanwhile, the object of the research is the integrated LKPD PBL to facilitate creative thinking skills. The validity criteria for LKPD were obtained as a result of 91% (very valid). The practicality criteria of LKPD by teachers were obtained 96.8% (very practical) and the level of practicality by students was 89.2% (very practical). Thus, this PBL-integrated LKPD is expected to be an effective and interesting learning resource and help students understand physics concepts.

Abstract

The Science and technology in the 21st century demands an increase in the quality of education according to the current curriculum, namely the independent curriculum. The independent curriculum is made into two elements of skills, namely the process and understanding of concepts. The background of this study is the low level of students' creative thinking skills. This happens because learning still uses a direct (conventional) learning model. The solution used to improve students' creative thinking skills is to use the Treffinger model. This study aims to determine the effect of the Treffinger model on students' creative thinking skills. This type of research is quantitative research or experimental research. The subjects of the study were students of class XI Phase F MAN 1 West Pasaman. The sampling technique of the study used simple random sampling, which was done randomly without considering the strata in the population. The instrument used in this study was a creative thinking ability test with a posttest only design. The data analysis techniques used were normality test, homogeneity test, validity test, reliability test, discriminatory power test, difficulty level test and hypothesis test. Based on the research that has been conducted, data on students' creative thinking abilities at a significance level of 0.05 showed results below 0.05, which means that the proposed hypothesis is accepted. The results of the analysis indicate that the Treffinger learning model has a significant influence on students' creative thinking abilities. This can be seen from the increasing competence of students' creative thinking abilities (cognitive).

Abstract

Students' interest and motivation in learning mathematics remain a challenge in the field of education. One approach that can be implemented to enhance student engagement is Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT), which emphasizes the integration of students' cultural backgrounds into the learning process. This approach aims to create a more relevant and meaningful learning experience by connecting mathematical concepts with local cultural contexts. This study seeks to analyze the effectiveness of CRT in improving students' interest and motivation in learning mathematics through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of articles discussing CRT implementation in mathematics education. The findings from the literature analysis indicate that Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) has been proven effective in enhancing students' interest and motivation in learning mathematics. The success of this approach lies in its ability to create culturally relevant learning, increase student engagement, and foster a more enjoyable and meaningful learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for developing an e-module based on Problem Based Learning as an effort to improve students' critical thinking skills in the Rotational Dynamics and Equilibrium of Rigid Objects material. The needs analysis was carried out based on the results of the initial test of critical thinking skills of grade XI students at SMAN 1 Sungai Aur which showed an average value of 37.62%, categorized as low. In addition, the results of observations and interviews showed limitations in the availability of contextual teaching materials and minimal use of digital technology in the physics learning process. These findings indicate the need to develop innovative teaching materials that can facilitate active learning and encourage student involvement in problem solving. Therefore, an e-module based on Problem Based Learning was designed which is packaged in a flipbook format through the Heyzine platform, containing elements of text, images, animations, and videos to support visual understanding of concepts. This e-module is structured by integrating Problem Based Learning syntax to build a learning environment that stimulates critical thinking skills. The results of this needs analysis stage are the basis for developing e-modules in the next stage and are expected to support more effective and meaningful physics learning.
