Abstract

Kaizen technique is a lean production technique that applies the principle of perfection because it involves continuous improvement of work. In Indonesia, there are limited liability companies (PT) which have very rapid growth because kaizen culture. This shows that the kaizen culture affects the magnitude the magnitude of business competition. Therefore, kaizen which is one of the lean manufacturing techniques that envisions sustainable development. Based on the description above, research on the Analysis of Kaizen Management Applications in the Industrial Engineering Sector: Case Studies in PT Companies in Indonesia needs to be carried out with the aim of analyzing the effect of Kaizen implementation on the sustainability of companies. This research is a literature review study that contains data from several previous studies related to this topic. Based on the results of research conducted by several studies reviewed in this study, it can be concluded that PT. Hino Motors Manufacturing Indonesia is considered very good in implementing kaizen because kaizen culture will greatly affect the performance of employees and the effectiveness of the company. Kaizen culture has a significant influence on the performance of the employees of PT Surya Toto Indonesia. The kaizen system has a major influence on the performance of PT Bridgestone Tire in terms of Environment Safety

Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang farmasi. Perusahaan tersebut memiliki gudang suku cadang. Gudang merupakan komponen penting dari rantai pasokan, melibatkan kegiatan dalam berbagai tahap yaitu produksi, distribusi barang, dari penanganan bahan baku, sparepart, dan barang dalam proses hingga produk jadi. Persediaan sparepart part harus dikendalikan dengan baik sehingga barang tersebut harus tersedia saat dibutuhkan. Pengendalian persediaan meliputi pengendalian kuantitas dan jumlah dalam batas-batas yang telah direncanakan dan perlindungan fisik persediaan. Pada bagian gudang suku cadang PT. XYZ terdapat permasalahan yang menggangu produktivitas perusahaan terhadap bagian produksi. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah terjadinya selisih persediaan barang antara jumlah persediaan yang ada pada data gudang dengan jumlah persediaan yang ada di dalam gudang. Efek yang diakibatkan dari terjadinya selisih jumlah persediaan adalah terjadinya kekosongan persediaan. Setiap perusahaan dapat meningkatkan kinerjanya melalui perbaikan berkelanjutan. Kualitas dan pengelolaannya selalu dikaitkan dengan aktifitas perbaikan berkelanjutan (continuous improvement) guna memenangkan persaingan. Salah satu metode problem solving untuk menerapkan continuous improvement adalah PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action). Setelah dilakukan perbaikan dengan menggunakan metode PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) terlihat perbedaan selisih sistem dan fisik pada stock opname bulan oktober menurun

Abstract

PT. Tristan engineering is a company engaged in services and goods. This company provides services and procurement of goods or spare parts needed by other companies. The Xray machine moves 165 rpm for 24 hours non-stop in checking the goods that come in and out of the company. In this situation the damage can occur at any time and can cause uncertainty about the availability of the machines to support the checking process. The purpose of this research is to determine the application of the system and the benefits of the Reliability Centered Maintenance system on the application of maintenance of the xray machine conveyor motor. The research method used is the Reliability Centered Maintenance method, which is a method used to reduce downtime that occurs in PT. Tristan Engineering. The research results obtained at PT. Tristan Engineering include the absence of periodic maintenance, causing damage to the xray engine components. From the results of the improvement of the proposed conveyor motor maintenance application, the occurrence of downtime is caused by the identification of the failure to detect the severity value, occurrence, and detection of each component of the discussion and conclusion described using the FMEA method is 683 RPN, it must be done periodically machine maintenance. From the planning effort of Reliability Centered Maintenance accompanied by a comparative analysis it is found that the proposed improvements can reduce the average downtime by 39% on the problems of each component accompanied by MTBF 2.412 hour

Abstract

PT. Luhai Indonesia adalah perusahaan yang memproduksi katup ban. Untuk menjaga keberlangsungan proses produksi tetap berjalan, menghasilkan kualitas yang baik, tentunya tidak terlapas dari peranan mesin yang beroprasi selama proses belangsung. Berhentinya salah satu mesin beroprasi dikarenakan rusak akan menyebabkan downtime yang merugikan perusahaan dalam aspek material, ekonomi maupun waktu.Analisa terhadap penelitian ini adalah utuk mengoptimalkan system pemelihaharaan kerusakan mesin dengan pendekatan Reability Centred Maintenance maka dapat di rumuskan sebagai beriku: untuk mengetahui hasil analisis menggunakan metode Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) pada Motor Listrik Tatung T60 L Nomor 3 di PT. Luhai Indonesia. Untuk membuat perencanaan penjadwalan perawatan yang optimal pada Motor Listri Tatung T 60 L Nomor 3.Penelitian ini menggunkan metode Reliability Centered Maintenance dengan melakukan analisis untuk penjadwalan.Kesimpulan menunjukan bahwa dari 4 komponen diantaranya bearing, rotor, poros penggerak, dan terminal box. Abstract

Quality control is a management activity to measure the quality characteristics of existing products, compare them with specifications or requirements, and take appropriate action if there is a difference between the actual appearance and standardization. The purpose of this research is to solve the causes of defective product problems that occur with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach to the Six Sigma method. This study uses a qualitative approach. This study analyzes defective products using the Six Sigma method in order to minimize defective products in the kiln area. Based on the research discussion, the dominant product defect is the sample in the kiln area. It is known that there are five types of product defects that can cause defective products, namely body burst by 22%, sag by 10%, preheating crack by 4%, glaze crack by 20%, and sompel by 40%. And based on the results of calculations carried out the company is at the level of six sigma 3.36 sigma

Abstract

PT. Boo Young Indonesia is a company that manufactures shoelaces for famousbrands such as Adidas, Nike, Puma, Under Armour. Based on the findings obtained by the researchers from the Observation Results there is a frequent engine damage to the Dyeing Machine.The damage resulted in the company experiencing a failure in the production process resulting in the company experiencing losses. The analysis of this study aims to determine the application of the Failure Mode Effect And Analysis (FMEA) method can provide optimal scheduling results in the treatment of the dyeing machine so that damage to the machine can be prevented and reduced so that there is no downtime on the dyeing machine

Abstract

PT. X Pharmaceutical Indonesia adalah pabrik farmasi yang memfokuskan diri dalam mendistribusikan obat. Saat ini PT.X Pharmaceutical Indonesia belum menerapkan kanban pada sistem inventori secara menyeluruh, sehingga persediaan tidak dapat dikendalikan dengan baik. Permasalahan yang terjadi di PT.X Pharmaceutical Indonesia adalah operator pelaksana tidak bertanggung jawab dalam penerapan Kanban di pabrik. Terlebih lagi masih ada kekurangan prosedur yang disebabkan oleh persediaan yang tidak direncanakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengimplentasikan Kanban dan untuk mengontrol material di PT.X Pharmaceutical Indonesia. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa Kanban dapat dilaksanakan dengan membuat work instruction dan dikendalikan dipabrik. Namun untuk mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal dari penerapan Kanban masih membutuhkan penyesuaian dari pihak-pihak yang terkait, maka hasil  maksimal akan didapat seiring berjalanya waktu

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assist in controlling the packaging material preparation process to eliminate stop lines in the packing section so that product delivery is fulfilled by applying the Kanban method. PT XYZ is a company engaged in food that has several regular customers and new customers for product marketing. The demand for each customer's product increases so that they experience problems in product fulfillment. Delivery delays in the process of preparing packaging materials are one of the factors supporting the constrained packing process. The application of the kanban system in the packing production process causes the packaging material delivery system to be properly scheduled and controlled so that the packaging material will be available in the production process area at the required time so as to minimize the occurrence of line stops.

Abstract

PT Staedtler Indonesia is one of the best companies from Germany and is one of the leading manufacturers of stationery in the world that has an extruder machine for making pencils from plastic raw materials. To maintain the condition of the production machine is always in the best condition, the role of maintenance is very important, the damage that often occurs in the extruder machine results in the amount of time the engine downtime. With unscheduled maintenance at this time the damage occurred suddenly, causing a long repair time and resulting in many losses to the company.The analysis of this research aims to determine the application of the Realibility Centered Mintenance method can provide optimal scheduling results in the maintenance of extruder machines so that damage to the machine can be prevented and reduced so that there is no downtime on the extruder machine.The method or approach in this study uses the Realibility Centered Maintenance method by applying qualitative analysis by carrying out MTBF calculations, determining or identifying the causes and consequences of damage or failure of engine components using FMEA, analyzing critical components using Pareto diagrams and determining actions or activities in maintenance scheduling using RCM Work decision. The results showed that of the 9 components, 5 including the head body, water hose electric motor, vacuum and cutter, the maintenance scheduling used a scheduled restoration task. This conclusion indicates that the most appropriate maintenance in the maintenance of extruder machine components scheduled restoration task, which means that the maintenance uses preventive maintenance
