Abstract

This article aims to explain the importance of humanities studies in Indonesian education, as a response to the humanities twilight pessimism in Japan. Afterward how its effect toward the continuity of humanities and social studies in Indonesian education. The study uses a qualitative approach using library research. The data analysis method applied was in meta-analysis. Based on the data and analysis, it was explained that it is reasonable if Japan wants to erase Humanities and Social Studies because of the decreasing population numbers, the lack of manpower, industrial competition and dependency to China and other countries, and the influence of Shinto teaching and Shingaku Concept inspiring Prime Minister Abe in focusing on Engineering education. This also replies to the Fukuyama’s concern in the emergence of post-historic where there is no longer art and philosophy. Meanwhile, based on Constitution number 20 of 2003 on National Education system that Humanities and Social Studies is still important in achieving national education objectives as well as shaping Indonesian people thoroughly because it still having national leadership crisis, corruption emergency, drug emergency, economy that has not got better yet. It is also to create the humane people and fight for Indonesian survival. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas tentang penggunaan e-learning ketika terjadinya pandemic covid-19 terhadap mahasiswa di beberapa perguruan tinggi di Kalimantan Selatan, Indonesia. Meskipun ada beberapa yang meneliti tentang e-learning pada masa pandemi, tapi peneliti lebih menekankan pada efektifitas daring dibandingkan ketika berada di ruang kelas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan yang bersifat kuantitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi terhadap pembelajaran yang bersifat daring dampaknya terhadap kesiapan peserta didik. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa 80% mahasiswa belum siap mengikuti pembelajaran daring secara total, kecuali jika menggunakan metode blended learning. Sebanyak 60% mahasiswa berpendapat bahwa finansial merupakan bagian terpenting dalam pembelajaran daring berdasarkan kuota, sementara 25% responden tidak mempermasalahkan ekonomi. Dengan pendapatan per-kapita yang harus tinggi menyebabkan pola yang digunakan hanya smartphone saja. Hasil yang didapat juga bertolak bekalang dengan tujuan e-learning, sehingga pembelajaran kurang efektif. Hal ini disebabkan ketidaksiapan para mahasiswa dalam menghadapi new normal dalam pembelajaran secara daring. Kata kunci:, Pendidikan; Pemecahan Masalah; Pengukuran; Pembelajaran; Abstract This research explores the use of E-learning in many universities in Southern Kalimantan in Indonesia in the Covid-19 pandemic against students. Although some researchers study e-learning during a pandemic, researchers concentrate more on the quality of e-learning than in a classroom. This study is a phenomenologically focused quantitative field research which has an impact on the students' preparation. This study shows that 80 % of students are not prepared to completely engage in online learning unless they use the combined form of learning. Sixty percent of students agree that finance is the key part of online quota-based learning, while 25 percent of students do not care about the economy. This results in a trend which is only used by smartphones with a high per capita income. The findings also run counter to the goal of e-learning, which makes learning less efficient. This is attributable to students being unprepared to face the latest online learning standard. Keywords: Education; Problem Solving; Measurement; Learning;

Abstract

This paper examined the ecological concept and its implication at Nurul Haramain NW Lombok Islamic boarding school in response to the world climate crisis. Boarding schools have the potentials to bridge the environmental conservation initiative amid the secular science phenomena. This study employed a descriptive-explorative approach using a qualitative methodology. Thus, theoretically, this study was anchored in Mary Evelyn Tucker and Vasudha Narayan's theories of eco-theology in addressing the climate crisis. The findings showed that Nurul Haramain NW Lombok Islamic boarding school had implemented a sustainable lifestyle based on the ecological values in the Al-Quran and Hadith, in which Tuan Guru as the environmental conservation foreman. Abstract

This research is motivated by a problem that shows the student motivation and interest in learning in Islamic religious education subjects at SMP Plus Hafadata Yusuf, Argapura District are generally still low, seen in students complaining about subject matter that is difficult to understand with photocopied presentation during the Covid-19 Pandemic, the school is not ready to implement an online learning system.This study aims to find out (i) to find out how the online learning system at SMP Plus Hafadata Yusuf (ii) to find out how the students 'learning motivation at SMP Plus Hafadata Yusuf (iii) to find out how the students' learning interest at SMP Plus Hafadata Yusuf (iv) To find out the effect of the Covid-19 Pandemic Online Learning System on Student Motivation and Learning Interest at SMP Plus Hafadata Yusuf. In general, this researcher is empirical by using quantitative research methods, this type of experimental research. The technique of collecting data by means of observation, interviews, questionnaires or questionnaires, and documentation. The influence of the online learning system during the Covid-19 Pandemic period on learning motivation and interest in learning in class VII Islamic religious education subjects at SMP Plus Hafadata Yusuf, the results (pretest) before the treatment (treatment) of the experimental group with an average value of learning motivation is 62 , 86 and interest in learning is 62.86, the control group with an average value of learning motivation is 61.47 and interest in learning is 59.33. While the results (posttest) after giving treatment (treatment) obtained an F value which assumes that the two variants are the same is 0.545 with a value of t = 9.464 with degrees of freedom (df) = n1 + n2 - 2 = (14 + 15-2 = 27). ? = 0.05 obtained Sig. 0,000. Because of Sig. 0,000 <0.05, thus H0 is rejected or in other words Ha is accepted. Obtained the F value which assumes that the two variants are the same is 3,428 with a value of t = 10,244 with degrees of freedom (df) = n1 + n2 - 2 = (14 + 15 - 2 = 27). ? = 0.05 obtained Sig. 0,000. Because of Sig. 0,000 <0.05 thus H0 is rejected or in other words Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant difference, this indicates that the use of online learning systems can affect student learning motivation and interest than those who do not use online learning.

Abstract

The study aims to find out whether psychological content is presented in Islamic education textbooks or not. The method used was library research. The data collection technique used was by reviewing the document and descriptive analysis. The textbooks studied were: first, Islamic Religious Education and Character student textbook of Class 10 by Kemendikbud RI in 2017, second, the book entitled “Spirituality, Values and Mental Health: Jewels for the Journey” edited by Mary Ellen Coyte, Peter Gilbert, and Vicky Nicholls. The research result shows that there is not psychological content within the books. While according to the researcher, psychological content is very important to enrich Islamic Education learning material as a means to instil religious awareness related to spiritual values, such as good personality both personally and socially as the initial and final objective in the Islamic Religious Education learning process. The research result is expected to influence Muslims with individual and social piety by eliminating the self-righteousness attitude that often creates inter-faith and internal Muslim bullying as well as eradicating the assumption that Muslims are intolerant and not humanist as part of the indications of the achieved character building.

Abstract

Nowadays, Indonesia is still experiencing pandemic issues or the Covid-19 virus outbreak. All the learning activities are suspended temporarily. The purpose is to contain the pandemic outbreak spreading and infection can be ceased. The education issues emerge due to conventional (face to face) or offline learning process is suspended. The rise of social and moral distortion occurred shows the need for improvement in early character-building education. The role of an educational institution is very required in improving Nation’s morality through Character Education using a learning strategy adjusted to pandemic conditions. This is qualitative research with a study case in Anak Tangguh Mataram School by interview, thorough discussion, and observation. The analysis result shows that learning strategy is conducted by collaborating online and offline which integrating character values in every lesson material. Another one is by habituation method in the school or at home in instilling and developing student’s character. And synergy must be performed among the school administrator, chaplain, parent, and society in instilling and developing education character in Anak Tangguh Mataram School

Abstract

The implementation of the 2013 curriculum for strengthening character building has many obstacles. Teacher’s understanding, limited resources, and mass media negative impact are identified as the hindrance of the implementation. The article aims to explore character building based on Adab Akhlak learning. For this purpose, the research uses the qualitative approach based on a literature review. The research data was obtained from research result which has been published (secondary research). The data findings were compiled, decoded, categorized, illustrated in a matrix, and then drawn conclusion and verification. The research result shows that it did not achieve character-building maximally because, first, it was lack of adequate follow-up after assessment/evaluation result; second, the cognitive aspect was always dominant in determining student’s achievement and learning completion. The values of attitude and behavior were not regarded as an authoritative reference to determine a student’s learning completion. The orientation of attitude and behavior assessment become student’s report “ornament”, however, it had not been accompanied by adequate followed-up, for instance, in the form of reward which can encourage on the developing and maintaining character values owned, and punishment which provide a deterrent effect and eliminate the possibility to repeat the violation. The success of character building in MA Plus Abu Hurairah Mataram lies on the courage to determine punishment policy for the offenders and consistent with the rules. The attitude and behavior become the standard measurement in assessing learning completion, it had 50% percentage in determining graduation.
