This research embarks on an exploration of the nuanced and evolving metaphorical representations of death within 19th-century American poetry focus on Emily Dickinson's poem 'Because I Could Not Stop for Death. The methodology integrates close textual analysis with historical contextualization, shedding light on the broader sociocultural landscape that influenced poetic expressions of death. By scrutinizing metaphorical intricacies, symbolism, and linguistic choices, the study aims to elucidate how Dickinson's portrayal of death diverges or aligns with the works of her peers. Moreover, it endeavors to discern underlying societal attitudes towards mortality, providing a comprehensive understanding of the intricate interplay between poetic representation and cultural dynamics in 19th-century American literature. Abstract

The research objective to be achieved in this study is to determine the influence of content exposure and the quality of information on dr. Tirta’s Instagram towards a healthy lifestyle (study on followers of dr. Tirta's Instagram account). The research object taken in this research is the followers of dr. Tirta. The theory used in this research is the stimulus organism response (S-O-R) theory. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach using non-probability sampling techniques with a population of 2.5 million followers of dr. Tirta and a sample of 400 respondents obtained from calculation results using the Slovin formula. The subjects in this research were Instagram followers of dr. Tirta. The results of this research indicate that the content exposure variable and the information quality variable on dr. Tirta’s Instagram has an influence on the healthy lifestyle of dr. Tirta’s followers.

Abstract

Mackerel (Rastrelliger sp.) is a food fish in Indonesian waters, one of which is in the Ombai Strait, Atapupu waters. Mackerel has a high ome 3 content, high protein, delicious taste, and affordable price. However, attention is needed to the quality and quality of mackerel from the threat of parasites that can cause disease. Especially fish parasites found in the mouths of mackerel fish. This research was conducted to determine the number of parasite microhabitats, intensity, prevalence, and the relationship between fish length and body weight and the parasites obtained. The research sample was obtained from TPI Atapupu which was carried out from November 2023 to December 2023. The method used during the research was quantitative descriptive and the method used to take samples was random (random sampling). The total fish samples examined were 50 fish consisting of the species.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research work is to find out the place of the mass media and opinion leaders in community development, using a study of Aniocha-North local government area of Delta State as a case in point. The method employed in gathering information for this study is the survey method of data collection using questionnaire and personal interview as primary sources while the use of journals, books, libraries, schools etc formed the secondary source of at collection. It was discovered that information from the mass media gets to members of Aniocha community through opinion leaders. Lazarfied and others said was true in Anicha community as it related to the community development of the town. Finally, since it is believed by the rural dwellers that mass media has not done any thing positive to change lives, the mass media should create the sense of identification through the propagation of common cultural value and symbol and by giving desirable interpretation of event.

Abstract

Tawa-Tawaro Beach has emerged as one of the prominent tourist destinations in East Kolono. This area holds significant potential for tourism development owing to its natural allure and stunning panoramas, attracting frequent visits from locals and tourists alike. However, several challenges persist, including inadequate organization of the area, limited accommodation options, and environmental issues such as poor waste management systems and the absence of electricity infrastructure. Consequently, there is a pressing need for the design of a beach resort that offers accommodation facilities catering to the needs of travelers. In this study, a qualitative descriptive approach is employed. The objective is to enhance the organization of the area while considering ecological architectural aspects and elements, thus ensuring that visitors are provided with improved facilities.
