Aim Jurnal Penelitian is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on various aspects of religiosity, Islam, and culture in Indonesia. The interaction between Islam— as the majority religion— and the unique cultural identity of Indonesia is a central theme of the journal. The journal focuses on exploring the dynamics between Islam and Indonesian identity, examining how the two intersect and influence each other. Scope The dynamics between Islam and Indonesian identity enable a diverse range of scientific studies. Therefore, the scope of Jurnal Penelitian includes issues related to: - The relationship between Islam and local culture in Indonesia, - Islamic movements vis-a-vis the state in Indonesia, - Mainstreaming religious moderation in Indonesia, - Islamic education and appreciation of local culture in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines Marx’s theory which states that in the process of capitalization, small land farmers will be displaced by large land farmers. This study employs a qualitative approach using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. Through participatory field observation techniques, the study also conducted in-depth interviews with farmers. Data were analyzed using an inductive approach. The findings indicate that Marx’s theory does not occur in Aman Malar. The decline in agriculture is caused by decreasing soil fertility, high production costs, land conversion, and climate change. Meanwhile, the survival strategies of small land farmers include practicing intercropping patterns, taking additional jobs, and managing household finances.

Abstract

Literacy on Islamic social ecology refers to human interaction with the natural environment, technology, and society based on the fundamental principles of Islam. The reconstruction of Islamic social ecological literacy is grounded in the basic tenet of Islam that affirms the human position as a “leader” entrusted with a “mandate” to manage the Earth, including the natural environment and natural resources, in the best possible way. This reconstructed ecological literacy must then be actualized in society. The process of actualization takes the form of concrete activities aimed at instilling awareness of Islamic social ecology within social spaces such as families, communities, and schools. These efforts are organized and supported by the state through policies and regulations.Through the processes of reconstruction and actualization, the state plays an active role in building Islamic social-ecological awareness. This is intended to establish a foundation of awareness, knowledge, and values of Islamic social ecology within society.

Abstract

Hisab and rukyat are methods used to determine the beginning of a new month. This study shows several findings. First, there is a correlation between the Kuraib tradition and the differences in determining the beginning of Ramadan, Shawwal, and Dhul-Hijjah in Indonesia. The Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia has declared Indonesia as a single jurisdiction (wilayatul hukmi). Second, the success of rukyat al-hilal in one region applies to other regions of the earth. It is important to note that the first visibility of the new moon does not cover the entire surface of the earth on the same day, but is divided into two parts: (1) the western part that can see the new moon, and (2) the eastern part that cannot see the new moon.

Abstract

Pesantren is a center for the development of human values. Education in pesantren pays close attention to the potential aspects of human beings as religious creatures, namely individuals who possess the capacity to develop their abilities. This study aims to explore the implementation of education at Pesantren Syafi’i Akrom Pekalongan from the perspective of religious humanism. Field findings indicate that the learning process between teachers and students takes place through an intensive interaction pattern that upholds both human and religious values. This is evident in the well-established human values cultivated within the pesantren environment, such as mutual respect, patience, perseverance, discipline, and tolerance, which serve as key indicators of education based on religious humanism.
