Abstract

The aims of this research study are to analyze change in learning outcomes and student motivation in class X science high school students using android-based learning media and evaluation android-based learning media effect on the physics learning outcomes for class X science high school students. The methods will be using is Quasi-experiment research design with Pretest-Posttest Control Group. The Population and sample of this research is student class X MIA SMA Al-Ulum Terpadu. Questionnaire and intrument test will be used as instrument. The academic performance of the students in this research is limited to increasing motivation and enhancing students learning outcomes in order to assess the product's usefulness. The result of data analysis were the average pretest value for control class was 60.19 and for experimental class was 73.81, after given treatment, the post-test mean value for control class was 88,75 and for experimental class was 90.16. Based on the results, the student's N-Gain, motivation and MANOVA test, the results of the hypothesis obtained are Sig. > 0.05 (0.114, 0.344 > 0.05) which means H0 accepted and H1 is rejected. As a result, utilizing android-based learning media did not have a substantial impact on improving student learning outcomes and motivation.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce LKPD based on a scientific approach assisted by Amrita Olabs' virtual laboratory on elasticity material that is suitable for use in physics learning. This type of research is Research and Development (R & D) using Thiagarajan's 4D model which is limited to the development stage (Develop). The subjects in this study were material experts, media experts, teachers in the field of physics studies, and students of grade XI MIA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu totaling 30 students. The instruments used in this study consisted of feasibility test questionnaires of material experts, and media experts, observation sheets, pretest, and posttest question instruments, and questionnaires of the responses of teachers in the field of study and students to LKPD based on a scientific approach assisted by Amrita Olabs' virtual laboratory. The results showed that LKPD based on a scientific approach assisted by the Amrita Olabs virtual laboratory developed was included in the category of very feasible to be used in the physics learning process based on the results of validation tests of material experts (92.85%) and media experts (93.18%). Teacher response to LKPD developed (98.21%) and student response (97.22%). Based on N-Gain calculations, LKPD based on a scientific approach assisted by Amrita Olabs virtual laboratory is in the medium category with a value of 0.69. With an average learning outcome of 79.50. Thus, it can be concluded that LKPD based on a scientific approach assisted by Amrita Olabs's virtual laboratory is feasible and effective to be used in physics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) develop interesting instructional media such comics can affect student’s motivation, 2) determine students’ motivation after using comic as learning media, and 3) determine the feasibility of comic and student’s responses on momentum and impulses topic. The study was placed at SMAN 2 Medan and the participants were 20 science students of grade 10th. The type of research with Pretest-Postest group design model. The ADDIE model used for prepared instructional design of Physics Comic. The data of expert’s validations, students’s response and motivations were collected  by using questionnaire of experts’ validation, student’ responses and students’ motivation. The result of this study is the product of momentum and impulses comic. The result of material validation is ????̅=4.25 in the good category and instructional media validation is ????̅=4.50 in  very good category. The assessment of students in the form of response questionnaire is ????̅=4.38 in very good category. It can be concluded that the momentum and impulses comic is feasible to use in learning and get positive responses from the students. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the momentum and impulses comic is strongly feasible abd very good so that it can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

The research aims to develop the objective physics instrument test  based Higher Order Thinking skills (HOTS) that already meet the qualification in aspects of validity, reliability, distinguishing power, difficulty level, and effectiveness of detractors. The type of research that is used in research is  Research and Development (R & D), the Borg & Gall models which consists of 7 stages, namely : 1) Research and information collecting, 2) Planning, 3) Development preliminary of products, 4) Preliminary field testing, 5) main product revision, 6) Main Field Test, and 7) Main product revision. Subject of research is student class X in SMA Swasta St. Lusia Sei Rotan who totaled 10 people on the preliminary field testing and student class X in SMA Swasta St.Lusia Sei Rotan and SMA N 2 Percut Sei Tuan who totaled 50 people on the main field testing. Results of the study showed that the validation of the contents by expet judgment is valid with the average value is 87.6 and has been getting evidence empirically through validation construction item test with the average value is 3.9 ( tcalculate > ttable , ttable = 2.01), the reliability of item test is 0.87 with high category ( ???? ≥0,70 ), the distinguishing power have the average value is 0.45 with a category well, the average difficulty level is rather difficult with the range value is 0.2-0.73, and the effectiveness of distractors were function, so that instrument test decent used to measure higher order thinking skills of student.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a physics test instrument based on scientific literacy PISA (Program for International Student Assessment). Development of test instruments using 4D models (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). The test instrument was tested by expert validity with a CVI score of 1. The test instrument tested involved 130 participants. The results of the item validity test showed that the 20 items tested were valid with a Cronbach Alpha reliability value of 0.816 ("very good" category). The discrimination power test results showed that the developed items are in the "good" and "very good" categories. The results of the difficulty level test showed that there was one difficult item, 11 medium questions, and eight easy questions. This research shows that the physics science literacy skills of students who participate in this research show that students achieve good scores on average. Students who participated in this research had the highest achievement in the competence of evaluation and design of scientific investigations and had the same achievement in both the content and the procedural knowledge aspects
