Abstract

Learning is still centered on the teacher so that students are still passive. Lack of teacher attention to the potential of students in terms of group cooperation, building their own knowledge by collecting data or hypothesizing and less involved in activities that are fun and move children's motoric. This is because the teacher has not used innovative learning methods so that it causes low student learning outcomes, so research is needed to test this. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning method on science learning outcomes of grade V students of UPT SD Negeri 1 Amparita, Sidrap Regency. This research approach is quantitative with experimental type. This study consists of two variables, namely the guided inquiry learning method as the independent variable and science learning outcomes as the dependent variable, with a research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population used was all grade V students, namely class Va as an experimental class with 27 students and class Vb as a control class with 26 students without being randomized. The data obtained were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive analysis showed that the increase in the average value of science learning outcomes of the experimental class was higher than the average science learning outcomes of the control class. The t-test analysis using the Paired Samples T-Test test shows that the significance value of 0.000 is smaller than α = 0.05 and the t-count is greater than the t-table, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning method has an effect on science learning outcomes about the human respiratory system in class V UPT SD Negeri 1 Amparita Sidrap Regency.

Abstract

Character in human life has a very important role. Character is described as a character and morals that determine people's acceptance of a person. People who have strong character, have good character and morals will be accepted in society. Vice versa, people who are immoral will be ostracized and even despised by society. Character education in Indonesia is based on nine basic character pillars. The nine pillars of basic character are: (1) love for Allah and the universe and its contents; (2) responsibility, discipline and independence; (3) honest; (4) respectful and courteous; (5) compassion, caring and cooperation; (6) confident, creative, hard working and never give up; (7) justice and leadership; (8) kind and humble, and (9) tolerance, love peace and unity. Educational institutions as places for the nation's children to receive education feel partly responsible for instilling character in their students. Hinduism as a guide for its adherents has the goal of moksartham jagadhita ya ca iti dharma, which means the realization of happiness and peace for all living things and harmony of the universe and freedom from samsara, punarbawa. Tri Hita Karana which consists of Parhyangan, Pawongan and Palemahan is a concept of the teachings of Hinduism that can help realize this goal. The application of the Tri Hita Karana concept in early childhood education activities aims to instill character values in children. To understand the implementation of the Tri Hita Karana teachings to form early childhood character, the authors describe starting from the inculcation of character education values at the early childhood education level and the process of implementing Tri Hita Karana at the early childhood education level. Through the application of the Tri Hita Karana concept in early childhood learning activities, the character pillars of students can be developed.

Abstract

The mathematics learning outcomes of class VII have not yet reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) set. Learning activities have not activated students because learning is still carried out in one direction. The purpose of this study was for the pretest and post-test results of students after using the treffinger model in learning mathematics and to determine the effectiveness of the treffinger model in learning mathematics in students. The research approach used is quantitative with the type of pseudo experiment and without control. The research variables used are the treffinger model as the independent variable and mathematics learning outcomes as the dependent variable, with a population of VII grade students of SMPN 2 Enrekang in the 2018/2019 school year consisting of 4 classes, namely VIIA, VIIB, VIIC, and VIID classes so that the sample used is VIIB class with cluster random sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics were carried out by looking at the analysis of learning outcomes with an increase in the average score from the pretest results of 46.2 to 77.4 on the posttest results, the average student activity of 88.75%, the average teacher's ability to manage the class with a score of 4.4 or with a very good category and the average student response to learning of 88%. Inferential statistics conducted with a one-sample t-test showed a significance value below α = 0.05 so that H1 was accepted. From these data, it can be concluded that the application of treffinger learning model in class VII students of SMPN 2 Enrekang is effective.

Abstract

The learning process has changed globally due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world. The learning process that used to be carried out face-to-face in the classroom turned into online learning (in the network) due to social restrictions to prevent the spread of the covid-19 virus. The online learning process is assisted by applications such as whatsapp, google classroom, zoom meeting, google meet and other applications. Of course this affects the way of learning and the difficulty of adapting to technology, especially at the elementary school level and has an impact on student activeness in the learning process. Seeing this situation, research is needed to examine this matter. The purpose of this study is to determine student activeness in learning before the COVID-19 pandemic and during the COVID-19 pandemic at UPT SD Negeri 1 Amparita. The method used is descriptive research. The population in the study were all students at UPT SD Negeri 1 Amparita as many as 172 students, while the sample in this study were 89 students with non probability sampling technique. The research data were obtained by distributing questionnaires and supported by activity documentation. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive statistical analysis technique. Based on the results of descriptive analysis, the data obtained shows that student activeness in the learning process before the COVID-19 pandemic at UPT SD Negeri 1 Amparita is more effective than student activeness in the learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic at UPT SD Negeri 1 Amparita.
