Abstract

This study aims to determine how the application of inquiry learning model with pictorial riddle method on learning outcomes on ideal gas law material at SMA Negeri 1 Likupang. The method used in this research is quantitative method, with the research design is One Group Pretest-Posttest. The sample in this study was class XI MIA 1 which amounted to 20 students. Assessment data was collected using a test instrument in the form of a description. The average pretest score was 33.50 and the average posttest score was 85.25, the results of the data processing showed an increase. The results of the N-Gain Test obtained an N-Gain score of 0.8438 which indicates that there is an increase in student learning outcomes in the high category with a percentage of 84.38%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the pictorial riddle method of inquiry learning model can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes seen from the results of pretest and posttest data analysis using the N-Gain test, there are 18 students in the high category and 2 students with N-Gain scores in the medium category. With a percentage of 90% of students in the high category and 10% of students in the medium category. Then obtained the value of Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05 so it can be concluded that the application of the inquiry learning model with the pictorial riddle method can improve the learning outcomes of students in class XI MIA 1 even semester of SMA N 1 Likupang

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to produce a product of amrita olabs practicum guide on simple pendulum material for class XI high school students in the science department. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tompaso class XI IPA 3 with 20 students. Amrita olabs is the idea that laboratory experiments can be taught using the internet more efficiently and cheaper. Amrita olabs is one of the virtual experiment facilities in the virtual laboratory Amrita olabs can be used on labtop or cellphone androi/iphone and is a technological development in the field of education. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model in the data collection process carried out by validating the practicum guide. Based on the results of the analysis of the response of students after they use the Amrita olabs practicum guide, it is said to be good according to the average data of students' responses which can be seen from the gain value of 75%. Based on the results of the analysis of this study, it shows that the Amrita Olabs practicum guide is feasible to use in the learning process, especially in the practicum learning process and is able to improve the physics skills of students.

Abstract

Learning media is a very important component in the teaching and learning process. The use of learning media must be the main point that is considered by the facilitator so that there is good, effective, efficient and fun interaction with students. Lagrange mechanics material is quite difficult for students to understand so it is necessary to develop different learning media. This research aims to create learning media in the form of interactive powerpoints based on PBL (Problem Based Learning) to support the understanding of physics students about Langrange Mechanics. This research uses the Research and Development (R & D) method with the main stages carried out are define, design, development, and disseminate with a 4D model. Data collection technique by providing a validation sheet to one of the expert lecturers and fourth semester students of the Department of Physics Education, Yogyakarta State University. The feasibility of interactive powerpoint based on PBL (Problem Based Learning) on Lagrange Mechanics material from four aspects, namely material, method & model, quality of media display and attractiveness got an average of 3.37 with a very decent category. Learning media in the form of interactive powerpoints based on PBL (Problem Based Learning) on Lagrange Mechanics material is an alternative in supporting the understanding of physics students. PBL (Problem Based Learning) based Powerpoint helps in solving problems in life so that it can improve the quality of learning and active involvement of students.

Abstract

This research analyzes competencies and problems in writing scientific articles in analytical mechanics courses at the Department of Physics, FMIPA, Yogyakarta State University (UNY). Students from the Physics education study program class of 2022 were the research subjects, with 30 out of 40 students selected as random samples. Qualitative descriptive research methods were used, with data collection through questionnaires. The research results show that the main problem faced by students is difficulty in finding appropriate references and understanding relevant literature, which was expressed by 32.1% of respondents. Further analysis identified students' key strengths, such as good analytical physics skills and access to adequate laboratory facilities, as well as weaknesses such as lack of training in academic writing. Opportunities to overcome these weaknesses include information technology support and collaboration with other institutions, while threats faced include time constraints and academic pressure. This research suggests the need for increased training in literature searching and academic writing as well as the use of technology to expand access to information. With the right strategy, it is hoped that students can improve their competency in writing scientific articles and be better prepared to face academic challenges. These findings provide valuable insights for improving the curriculum and teaching methods at UNY, so as to improve the quality of education and research.

Abstract

The application of mechanical concepts to everyday life is important in understanding the physical phenomena that occur. One branch of physics is mechanics which studies the behavior of objects influenced by force and displacement. In complex situations, many variables can be involved in the solution, so it is necessary to involve mathematical methods using the Lagrange equation. This article explains the application of Lagrange's equation in various systems such as pulleys, levers, oscillations, and double pendulum systems that are often encountered in everyday life. In addition, this article provides examples of tools encountered in daily activities that use the application of the Lagrange equation. The method used in collecting data for this article is a literature study method using 10 articles relevant to the theme. It is hoped that this article will be able to provide readers with an overview and understanding of concepts regarding Lagrange mechanics, as well as being able to provide concrete examples of real applications of physical theory in real life.
