Abstract

The rise of news on social media regarding divorce, infidelity, and domestic violence experienced by both celebrities and ordinary individuals who share their personal stories has created a widespread flow of information about the challenges and hardships of married life. One of the impacts of this wave of information is a change in individual attitudes toward married life. This study aims to examine the effect of exposure to social media content related to marital conflict on attitudes toward marriage in early adulthood. The hypothesis in this study is that exposure to social media content related to marital conflict has a significant influence on attitude toward marriage. The measuring instruments used are the Social Media Content Exposure Measurement Scale and the General Attitude Toward Marriage (GAMS). The method used in this research is quantitative correlation with the simple linear regression analysis technique. Respondents used in this study were 385 young adult individuals. The results of this study indicate that exposure to social media content related to marital conflict has a negative influence on attitude toward marriage (ß = -.097; p < 0.05). Abstrak Marak pemberitaan di media sosial mengenai perceraian, perselingkuhan, dan KDRT yang dialami artis maupun orang biasa yang membagikan pengalamannya. Adanya gelombang informasi mengenai pahitnya kehidupan pernikahan tersebut memiliki dampak terhadap individu yang menerima informasi atau pesan tersebut. Salah satu dampak dari gelombang informasi tersebut adalah adanya perubahan sikap individu dalam memandang sebuah kehidupan pernikahan. Penelitian ini berusaha mengetahui pengaruh paparan konten media sosial terkait konflik pernikahan terhadap attitude toward marriage pada dewasa awal. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah paparan konten media sosial terkait konflik pernikahan memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap attitude toward marriage. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik analisis regresi linear sederhana. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Skala Ukur Paparan Konten Media Sosial dan General Attitude Toward Marriage (GAMS). Responden yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 385 individu dewasa muda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa paparan konten media sosial terkait konflik pernikahan memiliki pengaruh secara negatif terhadap attitude toward marriage (ß = -.097; p < 0.05).

Abstract

The General Self-efficacy Scale (GSES) is a psychological instrument designed to measure an individual's general belief in their ability to cope with various life challenges. This scale is unidimensional and encompasses three main aspects: magnitude, generality, and strength. This study aimed to re-examine the psychometric properties of the Indonesian version of the GSES adapted by Novrianto et al. (2019). The research sample consisted of 323 active university students from various regions in Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with the JASP 0.19.00 software. Initial analysis results indicated that the measurement model did not meet the model fit criteria. After modification by removing five items based on residual variances, the final model showed excellent results (CFI = 0.996; GFI = 0.999; RMSEA = 0.036). Reliability testing indicated a construct reliability (CR) value of 0.826, while the Average Variance Extracted (AVE) value was 0.491. Although the AVE was slightly below the ideal standard (0.5), these results still demonstrate that the modified version of the GSES has strong construct validity and high reliability. Thus, this scale is suitable for measuring general self-efficacy in the Indonesian student population. Abstrak General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) adalah instrumen psikologis yang dirancang untuk mengukur keyakinan umum individu terhadap kemampuannya dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan hidup. Skala ini bersifat unidimensional dan mencakup tiga aspek utama, yaitu magnitude, generality, dan strength. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kembali psikometri GSES versi bahasa Indonesia yang telah diadaptasi oleh Novrianto dkk. (2019). Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 323 mahasiswa aktif dari berbagai wilayah di Indonesia. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) dengan bantuan software JASP 0.19.00. Hasil analisis awal menunjukkan bahwa model pengukuran belum memenuhi kriteria kecocokan model. Setelah dilakukan modifikasi dengan menghapus lima aitem berdasarkan nilai residual variances, model akhir menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik (CFI = 0,996; GFI = 0,999; RMSEA = 0,036). Uji reliabilitas menunjukkan nilai construct reliability (CR) sebesar 0,826, sementara nilai Average Variance Extracted (AVE) sebesar 0,491. Meskipun AVE sedikit di bawah standar ideal (0,5), hasil ini tetap menunjukkan bahwa GSES versi modifikasi memiliki validitas konstruk yang kuat dan reliabilitas yang tinggi. Dengan demikian, skala ini layak digunakan untuk mengukur efikasi diri umum pada populasi mahasiswa di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the subjective experiences and challenges of identity formation among emerging adults within the dominance of digital culture. In an era marked by an overwhelming stream of information and the portrayal of seemingly flawless lives on social media, many emerging adults find themselves disoriented in their search for self-identity. The disconnect between their genuine selves and the pressure to maintain a polished digital persona often leads to existential struggles. Using a qualitative approach and thematic analysis, this research involved in-depth interviews with eight participants aged 19 to 22. The findings reveal real-life accounts of identity uncertainty, the feeling of falling behind, and the social pressures embedded in today's digital environment. Upward social comparisons and the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) surfaced as central contributors to feelings of inadequacy and lack of direction. Nevertheless, participants demonstrated resilience through various coping approaches, ranging from personal reflection to the reaffirmation of core values. These findings highlight the importance of emotional literacy and the courage to stay authentic in a world that constantly demands perfection. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman subjektif dan tantangan pembentukan identitas pada individu dewasa awal di tengah dominasi budaya digital. Di tengah gelombang informasi yang terus mengalir dan gambaran hidup yang tampak ideal di media sosial, banyak individu pada fase dewasa awal merasa kehilangan arah dalam pencarian identitas diri. Ketidaksesuaian antara jati diri yang otentik dan tuntutan untuk menampilkan citra diri secara digital kerap memicu krisis eksistensial. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan teknik analisis tematik, penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan delapan partisipan berusia 19–22 tahun. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan pengalaman nyata terkait kebingungan identitas, perasaan tertinggal, serta tekanan sosial dalam budaya digital. Perbandingan sosial ke atas dan fenomena Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) muncul sebagai pemicu dominan dari rasa tidak cukup dan disorientasi arah hidup. Meski demikian, partisipan menunjukkan ketahanan melalui strategi koping seperti refleksi pribadi dan penguatan nilai-nilai diri. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya literasi emosional dan keberanian untuk tetap autentik di tengah tuntutan kesempurnaan digital.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between abusive supervision dimension (credit stealing, belittling behavior, yelling, and scapegoating) and quiet quitting dimension (lack of motivation, detachment, and lack of initiative) among female workers in the manufacturing industry. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique. There were 486 female workers at a cigarette company as respondents. This study used two measuring instruments, namely the abusive supervision scale and the quiet quitting scale. Data analysis in this study used the Spearman rank correlation. The results showed that all dimensions of abusive supervision had no significant relationship (p > .05) with the dimension of lack of motivation. Meanwhile, in the dimension of detachment, all dimensions of abusive supervision showed a significant positive relationship (p < .001). Furthermore, the dimension of lack of initiative had three dimensions of abusive supervision, namely belittling behavior (r = 0.336, p < .001), yelling (r = 0.310, p < .001), and scapegoating (r = 0.293, p < .001), which also had a significant positive relationship. The findings of this study emphasize the need for leadership training with healthy communication and safe feedback system to minimize abusive supervision and quiet quitting in the workplace. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dimensi abusive supervision (credit stealing, belittling behaviour, yelling, dan scapegoating) terhadap dimensi quiet quitting (lack of motivation, detachment, dan lack of initiative) pada buruh perempuan di industri manufaktur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Terdapat 486 pekerja buruh perempuan perusahaan rokok sebagai responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua alat ukur, yaitu Abusive Supervision Scale dan Quiet Quitting Scale. Adapun analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman rank test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh dimensi dari abusive supervision tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (p > .05) dengan dimensi lack of motivation. Sementara itu, pada dimensi detachment menunjukkan bahwa seluruh dimensi abusive supervision menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan (p < .001). Pada dimensi lack of initiative terdapat tiga dimensi abusive supervision, yaitu belittling behaviour (r = 0.336, p < .001), yelling (r = 0.310, p < .001), dan scapegoating (r = 0.293, p < .001) yang juga memiliki hubungan positif yang signifikan. Temuan dari penelitian menekankan perlunya pelatihan kepemimpinan dengan komunikasi yang sehat dengan sistem umpan balik yang aman untuk meminimalkan perilaku abusive supervision dan quiet quitting di lingkungan kerja.

Abstract

Boredom is a common experience for many individuals, including students pursuing higher education. Boredom, which is always considered negative, can actually serve an adaptive function by encouraging individuals to seek new goals or experiences. Among the many boredom instruments available, none specifically measure adaptive-boredom, prompting researchers to develop a measurement tool based on four aspects formulated by Bench and Lench (2013), namely behavior, cognition, experience, and physiology. The instrument was initially developed with 34 items that were tested for content validity by three expert judges using Aiken's V, resulting in 26 items suitable for testing. The subjects involved were 228 students from all over Indonesia aged 18–25 years (19 males and 209 females). Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) showed that the initial model was not a good fit, so it needed to be modified based on the factor loading values. The final model had 11 items with good model fit indicators (CFI = 0.975; GFI = 0.959; RMSEA = 0.049). The reliability test of the three aspects, namely behavior, cognition, and physiology, showed adequate reliability, while the experience aspect still needed development. The results of the study found that the adaptive boredom measurement tool had a valid and reliable factor structure in most aspects, so that it could be used to measure the tendency of adaptive boredom in students. Abstrak Kebosanan merupakan hal yang umum dialami oleh banyak individu, termasuk mahasiswa yang sedang menempuh pendidikan di perguruan tinggi. Kebosanan yang selalu dianggap negatif, ternyata dapat berfungsi secara adaptif dengan mendorong individu mencari tujuan atau pengalaman baru. Dari banyaknya instrumen kebosanan, belum ada yang spesifik mengukur kebosanan adaptif (adaptive-boredom), sehingga peneliti memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan alat ukur berdasarkan empat aspek yang telah dirumuskan Bench dan Lench (2013) yaitu perilaku, kognisi, pengalaman, dan fisiologis. Penyusunan instrumen diawali dengan 34 aitem yang telah diuji validitas konten oleh tiga expert judgement menggunakan Aiken’s V dan menghasilkan 26 aitem layak untuk diuji coba. Subjek yang terlibat sebanyak 228 mahasiswa seluruh indonesia berusia 18–25 tahun (19 Laki-Laki dan 209 Perempuan). Analisis Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) menunjukkan model awal belum fit sehingga perlu modifikasi berdasarkan nilai factor loading. Model final terdapat 11 aitem dengan indikator kecocokan model yang baik (CFI = 0,975; GFI = 0,959; RMSEA = 0,049). Uji reliabilitas tiga aspek yaitu perilaku, kognisi, dan fisiologis memiliki reliabilitas memadai, sedangkan aspek pengalaman masih perlu pengembangan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa alat ukur kebosanan adaptif (adaptive-boredom) memiliki struktur faktor yang valid dan reliabel pada sebagian besar aspek sehingga dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kecenderungan kebosanan adaptif pada mahasiswa.
