Abstract

The earthquake occurring in Yogyakarta in 2006 left long term consequences, especially to those who experienced disability as a result of the disaster. Post traumatic growth is an individual’s positive interpretation of negative experiences or feelings as result of his struggles in overcoming life challenges. This research aims to explore the role of social support in post traumatic growth on diffable survivors of Yogyakarta earthquake. The subjects were survivors of Yogyakarta earthquake in 2006 (N = 51) who suffered upper and lower limbs disability in arms, feet, and spinal cord. Data were collected using Post Traumatic Growth Scale and Sosial Support Scale. The multiple regression analysis suggested that social support significantly contributed to posttraumatic growth among survivors with disabilities of the Yogyakarta earthquake.

Abstract

Perkembangan 1 sosial emosi semakin dipahami sebagai sebuah krisis dalamperkembangan anak. Hal ini disebabkan karena anak terbentuk melalui sebuah perkembangan dalam proses belajar. Dari masa perkembangan awal, bayi menunjukkan rasa aman dalam keluarganya apabila kebutuhannya terpenuhi oleh lingkungan. Bayi akan mengeksplorasi melalui sentuhan, rasa, dll. Dari mengeksplorasi itulah bayi akan belajar. Sebaliknya, apabila bayi merasa tidak aman dalam lingkungan keluarga, bayi akan menghabiskan energinya untuk mengatur dirinya sehingga bayi tidak memiliki kesempatan untuk mengeksplorasi. Ketika bayi tidak dapat kesempatan untuk bereksplorasi, bayi tidak memiliki kesempatan untukbelajar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between resilience and work stress in teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Lumajang. The research design used in this study is descriptive correlational. The respondents of this study were 55 teachers who taught at SMA Negeri 2 Lumajang. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The research instrument used is the resilience scale and work stress scale. The resilience scale consists of 39 items with reliability of 0.957, and the work stress scale consists of 57 items with reliability of 0.977. Research data were analyzed using descriptive techniques and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis. The results showed a negative and significant relationship between resilience and work stress for teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Lumajang (rxy equal to -0.654; p equal to 0.000 less than 0.05). This result can be interpreted that if the resilience is high, the work stress is low, and vice versa; if the resilience is low, the work stress is high.

Abstract

Previous research shows that self-awareness is important for emerging adulthood. Individual knowledge of himself is required, specifically the strength of his character, to increase self-awareness. For this reason, this research shows the role of emerging adulthood character strengths on self-awareness. The research was carried out using a non-experimental quantitative approach with a research design in the form of a survey. Sampling was done using simple random sampling. The measuring instruments used are the Indonesian version of character strength developed by the VIA Institute via the viacharacter.org page formulated by Peterson & Seligman (2004) and the Self-Awareness Outcomes Questionnaire (SAOQ) created by Sutton (2016), which researchers adapted. These two measuring instruments have been proven to be valid and reliable in measuring the selected variables. Data collection was carried out using Google Forms, and a total of 142 participants were used for hypothesis testing. Hypothesis testing using a simple linear regression test shows that character strength plays a significant role in predicting emerging adulthood self-awareness with a predictive power of 64 per cent, and the direction of the relationship between the two is in the same direction. This means that the higher the strength of character, the greater the self-awareness. Thus, it is known that the true potential of emerging adulthood can be maximized if individuals are aware of their character strengths. This is because character strength can be an element in self-exploration and self-understanding. Research suggestions are attached.

Abstract

The self-rating anxiety scale by Zung is still widely used by researchers. However, there is no definite measurement tool for measuring anxiety in victims of sexual violence, both verbal and non-verbal. In fact, many studies conducted by researchers to test the anxiety of victims of sexual violence. Because of this, this study aims to modify the Zung scale as a development of the anxiety scale for victims of sexual violence. This study attempted to modify the item by adding context and updating the definition of anxiety according to the DSM-V. The content validity test was carried out by expert judgment, and trials were carried out to measure the item's discriminatory power, validity, and reliability. Validity was measured using three expert judgments. Discrimination power was measured using Corrected Item-Total Correlation, while reliability was measured using Cronbach's Alpha. The subjects in this study were 32 subjects. The results show that the items that successfully meet the validity and reliability are 20 items that represent 20 aspects consisting of affective and somatic symptoms. AbstrakSkala kecemasan self-rating anxiety scale oleh Zung masih banyak digunakan peneliti. Namun, skala kecemasan yang dikhususkan untuk mengukur kecemasan pada korban kekerasan seksual belum terdapat alat ukur yang pasti hingga saat ini, baik verbal maupun non-verbal. Padahal, banyak penelitian yang dilakukan untuk menguji kecemasan korban kekerasan seksual. Oleh karena hal tersebut penelitian inibertujuan untuk memodifikasi skala Zung sebagai pengembangan skala kecemasan korban kekerasan seksual. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk melakukan modifikasi aitem dengan menambahkan konteks dan memperbarui definisi kecemasan menyesuaikan dengan DSM-V. Uji validitas isi dilakukan dengan expert judgement, dan uji coba dilakukan untuk mengukur daya deskriminasi aitem, validitas, dan reliabilitas. Validitas diukur menggunakan tiga expert judgement. Daya diskriminasi diukur menggunakan Corrected Item-Total Correlation, sedangkan reliabilitas diukur menggunakan Alpha Cronbach. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 32 subjek. Hasilnya menunjukkan aitem yang berhasil memenuhi validitas dan reliabilitas 20 aitem yang mewakili 20 aspek yang terdiri dari gejala afektif dan somatik.

Abstract

Research on Academic Expectations Stress Inventory-9 (AESI-9) is important because it has an essential role as a risk factor for stress due to parents' academic expectations for their children. However, the measuring instrument in the Indonesian version has not been found. The purpose of this study was to adapt the Academic Expectations Stress Inventory-9 (AESI-9) instrument into the Indonesian version. This study was conducted online using a Google Form link intended for high school students in Indonesia (N=40; 21 male subjects and 19 female subjects) aged 16-19 years. The results of the validity test showed that all AESI-9 adaptation instruments were appropriate because they had an Aiken's V assessment >0.6. The results of the reliability test based on the Cronbach's Alpha value were 0.871. This instrument can be considered reliable and categorized as strong because the value exceeds 0.6 which is the reliability standard. The discriminatory power of the instruments in this study met the standard, which was above 0.3. The statistical results show that the high category has a value of 14, the medium category has a value of 12, the low category has a value of 11, and the very low category has a value of 3. AbstrakPenelitian mengenai Academic Expectations Stress Inventory-9 (AESI-9) ini penting karena memiliki peran yang esensial sebagai faktor risiko stres akibat ekspektasi akademik orang tua terhadap anaknya. Akan tetapi, alat ukur dalam versi Bahasa Indonesia masih belum ditemukan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengadaptasi instrumen Academic Expectations Stress Inventory-9 (AESI-9) ke dalam versi Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara online menggunakan link Google Form yang ditujukan untuk siswa dan siswi Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Indonesia (N=40; 21 subjek laki-laki dan 19 subjek perempuan) yang berusia antara 16-19 tahun. Hasil uji validitas menunjukkan bahwa seluruh instrumen adaptasi AESI-9 sesuai karena memiliki penilaian Aiken’s V >0,6. Hasil uji reliabilitas yang didasarkan dari nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,871. Instrumen ini dapat dianggap reliabel dan dikategorikan kuat karena nilai tersebut melebihi 0,6 yang merupakan standar reliabilitas. Daya beda instrumen pada penelitian ini memenuhi standar yaitu di atas 0,3. Hasil statistik menunjukkan bahwa kategori tinggi memiliki nilai 14, kategori sedang bernilai 12, kategori rendah bernilai 11, dan kategori sangat rendah senilai 3.

Abstract

Body appreciation is a concept that refers to the appreciation or positive regard an individual has for their own body. Understanding body perception plays a crucial role as it can shape an individual’s self-concept. Individuals with good body appreciation are often linked to better well-being. Developing instruments related to body appreciation in a cultural context is essential, as it allows for measuring body appreciation within a specific culture. The aim of this study is to examine the construct validity of the Body Appreciation Scale (BAS-2) instrument. This research is a quantitative study using the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) measurement model. Participants in this study were college students aged 18–25 years from across Indonesia. The initial CFA results indicated that some models were not a good fit, prompting modifications to achieve a model that meets the fit criteria. After achieving an overall data fit, further validity and reliability tests showed that the convergent validity was not met. Thus, the BAS-2 instrument in this study needs to be retested in future research. AbstrakBody appreciation merupakan konsep yang merujuk pada penghargaan atau apresiasi yang seseorang miliki terhadap tubuhnya sendiri. Pemahaman terhadap persepsi tubuh memberi peranan penting karena hal ini dapat membentuk konsep diri bagi individu. Individu dengan body appreciation yang baik cenderung berhubungan dengan well-being. Pengembangan instrumen terkait body appreciation dalam konteks budaya diperlukan sebab hal ini dapat menjadi upaya pengukuran body appreciation dalam suatu budaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji validitas konstruk dari instrumen body appreciation scale (BAS-2). Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan model pengukuran Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Partisipan pada penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa berusia 18 – 25 tahun di seluruh Indonesia. Hasil CFA awal yang terdapat beberapa model yang tidak fit, lalu dilakukan modifikasi agar mendapatkan hasil yang sesuai dengan kriteria sehingga mendapatkan hasil keseluruhan data fit. Pada pengelolaan hasil fit setelah di uji validitas dan reliabilitas ternyata pada validitas konvergennya tidak terpenuhi. Sehingga instrument BAS-2 pada penelitian ini perlu diuji kembali dengan penelitian selanjutnya.

Abstract

Academic self-efficacy refers to an individual's ability to engage in learning activities to achieve academic goals. Measuring academic self-efficacy among students is necessary to gain an overview of the self-efficacy they possess and to identify appropriate intervention steps to support academic success. There are several instruments for measuring academic self-efficacy, one of which is the College Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (CASES). This instrument was adapted into Indonesian in 2022, but its measurement has been limited to content validity. This study aims to re-examine the construct validity of the adapted CASES measure to determine whether each factor aligns with the cultural context. The testing will be conducted through a quantitative research design. The sampling technique will use purposive sampling with a total sample of 116 respondents, who are active students at universities in Indonesia. Data analysis will utilize the JASP application to perform Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Psychometric results indicate that the adapted CASES has not achieved a fit model. This suggests that the CASES measure still needs further development. AbstrakEfikasi diri akademik adalah kemampuan yang dimiliki individu untuk menjalankan aktivitas belajar untuk mencapai tujuan akademik. Pengukuran terkait efikasi akademik di kalangan mahasiswa diperlukan agar membantu melihat gambaran efikasi akademik yang dimiliki mahasiswa serta untuk mengindentifikasi langkah intervensi yang tepat dalam menunjang keberhasilan akademik. Terdapat beberapa instrumen untuk pengukuran academic self-esteem, salah satunya College Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (CASES). Instrumen tersebut telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia pada tahun 2022, namun masih terbatas pada pengukuran validitas isi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kembali validitas konstruk dari alat ukur CASES yang telah diadaptasi agar diketahui setiap faktor yang ada sesuai konteks budaya. Pengujian dilakukan melalui desain penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 116 responden yang merupakan mahasiswa aktif di universitas di Indonesia. Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi JASP untuk melakukan Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Hasil psikometri menunjukkan bahwa CASES yang telah diadaptasi belum mendaptkan model yang fit. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa alat ukur CASES masih perlu untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas relawan bencana melalui pelatihan dasar Psychological First Aid (PFA). Latar belakang program didasari oleh tingginya kerentanan bencana di Indonesia serta terbatasnya jumlah tenaga psikolog profesional yang dapat memberikan dukungan psikososial segera. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di dua kota, yaitu Malang dan Makassar, dengan total 49 peserta. Metode pelatihan mencakup paparan materi, simulasi role-play, diskusi reflektif, serta evaluasi melalui pre–post test dan lembar refleksi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dasar PFA, serta penguatan empati, kesadaran diri, dan komunikasi peserta. Evaluasi mengungkap perlunya praktik lapangan yang lebih intensif dan pendampingan berkelanjutan agar keterampilan semakin terasah. Sebagai tindak lanjut, program ini direkomendasikan untuk diperluas ke daerah rawan bencana dengan modul lanjutan dan dukungan lintas sektor. Dengan demikian, pelatihan PFA terbukti efektif memperkuat kapasitas relawan dan berkontribusi pada terbentuknya komunitas yang lebih tangguh dan berdaya.
