Abstract

Object identification technique using machine vision has been implemented in industrial of electronic manufacturers for years. This technique is commonly used for reject detection (for disqualified product based on existing standard) or defect detection. This research aims to build a reject detector of sub-assembly condition which is differed by two conditions that are missing screw and wrong position screw using neural network backpropagation. The image taken using camera will be converted into grayscale before it is processed in backpropagation methods to generate a weight value. The experiment result shows that the network architecture with two layers has the most excellent accuracy level. Using learning rate of 0.5, target error 0.015%, and the number of node 1 of 100 and node 2 of 50, the successive rate for sub-assembly detection in right condition reached 99.02% while no error occurs in detecting the wrong condition of Sub-assembly (missing screw and wrong position screw).

Abstract

Banyak faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitasdan kestabilan koneksi HSDPA. Dalam penelitian inidifokuskan pada pengukuran dan analisa kinerja jaringanHSDPA dengan parameter-parameter user data throughput,round trip time, dan packet loss. Dari hasil pengukuran dananalisa data diperoleh nilai user data throughput rata-ratasebesar 600,46 kbps dan maksimum sebesar 1262,40 kbps.Nilai round trip time rata-rata yang diperoleh yaituindosatm2 sebesar 332,15 ms, Google sebesar 192,90 ms, danYahoo sebesar 342,88 ms. Nilai packet loss tertinggi terjadipada sore dan malam hari yaitu masing-masing sebesar6,35% dan 6,40%. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pembebananjaringan pada waktu-waktu tersebut sangat padatdibandingkan waktu-waktu lainnya.

Abstract

The world of robotics is currently developing; many robots are created to help humans work in carrying out daily activities. Various types of robots have been created, one of which is a type of robot that resembles a human body (humanoid). Humanoid robots are developing in many countries, including Indonesia. In its development, the walking technique is a major factor in making humanoid robots. Humanoid robots have the ability to walk like humans by balancing their body positions while walking, so they don’t fall. In maintaining this balance, a tilt detection system for the robot’s position and a balancing system is needed when the robot is about to fall. So, to overcome this problem, implementation is carried out using the sensor fusion method at the output of the sensors that are used to minimize noise or interference with the sensor output value. The accuracy of the sensor output value on the position angle tilt detector can help the robot provide a balancing act. By implementing a PD control system and sensor fusion consisting of a Kalman filter and a complementary filter, the robot was successfully carried up and down the plane to a maximum slope of 12 °.

Abstract

In the development of an electric car, many things should be considered for making it an environmentally friendly vehicle and therefore it is suitable for public use, one of them is the dashboard system. A dashboard is an interface device that connects the driver with the electrical and mechanical systems of the vehicle. In this study a dashboard system was developed to display information about electrical aspects of electric cars. The dashboard system is packaged in an Android-based smartphone that is placed on the steering wheel of the car using Bluetooth transmission. The system that is made is portable and universal on all Android smartphones so that with this system the driver can monitor the electrical condition easily and conveniently. The parameters displayed are battery voltage and capacity, current consumption, BLDC motor rotational speed, motor temperature, battery temperature, car speed and energy consumption. This system creates a reading value for each parameter that corresponds to the ratio of the standardized measuring instrument with an average error of 0.38% for the voltage sensor, 1.06% for the current sensor, 1.21% and 2.98% for the temperature sensor, 0.07% for the speed sensor and the use of the coulomb counting method for reading the state of charge (SoC) value produces an average error of 1.57%. By comparing the value of energy consumption reading with a standard wattmeter, we obtained an average difference of 1.69%.

Abstract

The production in industry, are involving distribution to transport the goods. Recently, distribution activities are using unmanned vehicle, that is Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). In real condition, AGV are facing environment with complexity of high uncertainity and unlinearity. Because of this, robust control method could be considered to be used to improve the control performance. For instance, Sliding Mode Control has good robustness to the uncertainity of the system and disturbances. However, the chattering phenomenon is one of the major issues of the sliding mode control. This phenomenon could damage the motor. This research aim to reduce chattering and improve the control performance, with modifying signum function to saturation function. This research are using ROS, V-Rep and microcontroller. Microcontroller for processing algorithm and another function. Moreover, saturation function had succcessfully reducing rise time about 30%, overshoot 16% and RMSE 0.21%.

Abstract

Human Machine Interaction keeps growing and developing, one of development is through gesture recognition that detects acceleration in a movement. This technology has been applied in joystick Wiimote and Wii-nunchuk by Nintendo that is widely used all over the world. Two main challenges in using accelerometer are to eliminate the noise of the sensor and to cancel the detected gravity acceleration when the joystick is tilted. The noise and gravity acceleration may influence the data reading and create error accumulation, respectively. This work proposes an implementation of Kalman Filter and also a simple technique to eliminate the influence of the gravity acceleration as a solution to solve above problems in using accelerometer of Wii-Nunchuk joystick in Board Arduino Mega 2560. The experimental results in motionless position show that the filter can reduce the gravity acceleration. We have to set the initial value of q and R parameters in the estimation of position, speed, and acceleration using Kalman filter. Once R is decided, the change of q will determine Kk gain, and it will locate the poles of the observer that influence the stability and the estimation result. With R=0.00005 and q=1, the poles of Kalman filter are located in the unit circle so that the estimation is stable and appropriate with the data from the sensor and even cancel the noise.

Abstract

A type of solar battery charger is introduced in this paper. This equipment functions as a medium size rechargeable battery that is needed to move culinary merchants and coastal fishermen living in area which is not supplied by electrical networks. The equipment consists of solar module mounted onto portable mechanical construction, a 12-V 7.5-Ah lead acid battery and charge controller. Solar module charges the battery through charge controller and then the battery can be discharged to power on electric lamps for lightening culinary wagon or fisherman’s boat at night. Charge controller charges the battery with float charging which is implemented by maintaining 13.5 Volt between battery terminals and limiting the charging current to 1.5 Amperes. Charge controller circuit is based on adjustable linear voltage regulator LM338. The battery is of sealed lead acid type. This type of battery is maintenance free and more hygiene than other types of lead acid battery. The field experiment of charging the baterry of 50% residual capacity from 8 am to 4 pm under sunny weather shows that the solar module has charged the battery to its full capacity under battery safe charging conditions.Keywords: portable solar battery charger, float charging, LM338

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the non-contagious diseases that tends to increase every year. This disease occurs almost entirely in women, but can also occur in men. One way to detect this disease is by observing mammography images. However, mammography images often tend to be blurry with low quality so that it is possible to detect them incorrectly. Therefore, in this study, automatic classification of breast cancer on mammographic images was carried out using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). This proposed system uses the VGG16 architecture with a transfer learning system. The proposed system is then optimized using Adam optimizers and RMSprop optimizers. The results of system testing for normal, benign, and malignant classifications obtained an accuracy value of 80% - 90% with the highest accuracy achieved using Adam's optimizers. With this proposed system, it is hoped that it can help in the clinical diagnosis of breast cancer.

Abstract

In this research, proposed lighting in smartroom with PoE technology (Power over Ethernet). IT facility is PoE Switch, Ethernet Cable and LAN network. Smartroom in this study is defined as meeting room in a high rise building that has LAN network. This research is motivated by many lighting lamps that use AC power, when the future use of AC source will be reduced, even with PoE switch voltage source still use AC, but can eliminate the pitch of light that still uses conventional AC. Building infrastructure systems tend to be developed towards IP protocols. An area where the electrical area becomes fully integrated into the IP network. This is made possible through the use of LED with low voltage and low current. However, in order to utilize the technical and economic advantages offered by LED Lighting Solutions, the addition of light sensor and motion as a switch will make it more complete. The results of the study obtained a cheaper cost than the use without PoE.
