Abstract

Pemanfaatan sinar matahari dengan menggunakan panel photovoltaic akan berdampak ramah lingkungan, pemodelan dilakukukan untuk menggunakan panel photovoltaic tersebut, pemodelan yang digunakan disini adalah single diode, parameter dari pemodelan tersebut akan diestimasi dan digunakan sebagai input. Metode yang digunakan adalah algoritma numerik secant method. Metode tersebut nantinya digunakan untuk mencari nilai Maximum Power Point, dari nilai MPP tersebut akan digunakan sebagai nilai input kurva karakteristik P-V dan kurva karakteristik I-V lalu dibandingkan dengan kurva karakteristik asli dari photovoltaic tersebut. Pengujian dilakukan dengan empat (4) nilai iradiasi yang berbeda yaitu 1000, 750, 500 dan 250. Pengujian akan dilakukan menggunakan software simulasi PSim. Dari pengujian yang telah dilakukan dengan nilai iradiasi 1000 didapatkan daya sebesar 102 Watt dan arus 6.03 Ampere, dengan nilai iradiasi 750 didapatkan daya sebesar 75 Watt dan arus 4.52 Ampere, dengan nilai iradiasi 500 didapatkan daya sebesar 49 Watt dan arus 3.01 Ampere, dengan nilai iradiasi 250 didapatkan daya sebesar 23 Watt dan arus 1.5 Ampere. Dari pengujian masing-masing nilai iradiasi tersebut kurva karakteristik P-V dan kurva karakteristik I-V yang didapatkan dari algoritma numerik secant method sudah sesuai dengan kurva karakteristik aslinya.

Abstract

Setiap hisapan asap rokok mengandung 1015 radikal bebas dan bahan yang dapat memicu terbentuknya radikal bebas di dalam jaringan paru-paru.. Tulang rawan trakea adalah bagian dari sistim respirasi. Kerusakan tulang rawan trakea dapat di deteksi da ri unsur selnya yaitu kondrosit. Vitamin C sebagai anti oksidan telah terbukti mampu menetralisir efek radikal bebas pada alveoli dan ep itel trakea. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat apakah terdapat peru bahan kondrosit tulang rawan trakea akibat radikal bebas dan ap akah perubahan tersebut dapat diperkecil dengan pemberian vitamin C. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan menggunakan post test only control group design. Hewan coba dibagi dalam enam kelompok yang masing-masing terdiri dari tiga ekor tikus putih Wistar jantan, dewasa dengan berat badan 200 – 300 gram. Perlaku an dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan dan hewan coba dibagi mejadi enam kelompok. Kelompok 1 tidak dipapr asap rokok, dan tidak diberi vitamin C, kelompok 2-6 dipapar asap rokok 1 batang setiap hari selama enam bulan sedangkan kelompok 3-6 selain dipapar asap ro kok juga diberi vitamin C dengan dosis yang berbeda yaitu 0,05, 0,10, 0,20 dan 0,40 mg/g BB/hari. Pemaparan asap rokok dengan menggunakan smoking pump sedangkan pemberian vitamin C menggunakan sonde sampai kelambung tikus. Trakea tikus diambil sepertiga bagian tengah, untuk pembuatan pr eparat HE. Pada preparat HE diamati kualitas kondrosit yaitu sifat pengecatan sitoplasma dan bentuk inti, diam eter kondrosit (DSK) dan rasio sel : inti (RSI). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pe ningkatan DSK dan penurunan RSI secara statistic tidak bermakna (p > 0,05). Kata kunci: radikal bebas, antioksidan, kondrosit

Abstract

Indirect Field Oriented Control (IFOC) is one of the vector control methods that can be applied to induction motor in the industrial world rather than Direct Field Oriented Control (DFOC) because of the flux is obtained from the formulation. However, IFOC can not guarantee the robustness and stability of the systems. Stability analysis such as Lyapunov Stability Theory can be used to make the system stable but not the robustness. Model based controller that can guarantee the stability and robustness such as sliding mode control (SMC) and fuzzy needs to be added in IFOC system to achieve proportional response system. Robust current regulator using sliding mode control was designed in this paper from state space model for model based controller. In transient response and under disturbance SMC shows better performance than PID in rising time and robustness at rotor speed and stator current.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) To identify the role of extension on independent small holder farmers of oil palm; (2) To know empowerment level of the farmers; (3) To analyze the aims of extension; (4) To analyze influence the role’s of extension toward empowerment and influence empowerment toward the aims of extension. This research is implemented in ‘Desa Teluk Merbau’ and ‘Desa Sungai Segajah Makmur’. Kubu Subdistrict, Rokan Hilir District. This research was conducted at Betung Village and Batang Kulim Village in Kubu Sub District Pelalawan District. Research’s respondent was determined by purposive sampling methods with number of respondent were 120. The location is chosen considering that there is a Counseling Institution, Active Counseling and Farmers Group. Validity, Realibility, Outliers, Normality, and Multikolinearity Analysis has been done on measuring treatment. To answer objectives number 1,2, and 3, use the “Scale Likert’s Summated Rating” (SLR) and to answer objectives numbr 4, use the “Strucutral Equation Modeling” with AMOS program. Research results shows: (1) Counseling role is very less in independent smallholder farmers of palm oil, that is viewed from counselour role giving education, information dissemination, facility, concultation, supervision, monitoring, and evaluation (2) farmers empowerment rates occur on less powerful level, viewed on human resources empowerment, productive economy, and institutions. (3) counseling objectives is sufficiently achieved that is viewed from better farming, better business dan better living; (4) role of counseling doesn’t influence directly toward farmers empowerment, and the farmer empowerment directly doesnt’s influence toward counseling objectives achievement.   Key words:The role of extension, empowerments, extension aims, independent small holder, oil palm

Abstract

In recent years there is an increasing demand for closely regulated dc power supply. Most of the power electronic converters in these power supplies used full wave rectifier. Bulky filter capacitor in rectifier can effect non-sinusoidal input current waveform (distorted). The difference in voltage and current waveform affected the power factor system. Interleaved Boost Converter (IBC) as Power Factor Correction (PFC) with a fuzzy logic controller to be added in the system to achieved near to unity power factor. IBC operated in Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM). Power factor near to unity can be achieved while rectifier supplied resistive load, the waveform of load current through back to input source have the same form with the input voltage. Simulation and hardware implementation is used by varying loads. The experimental results with a variable load value of IBC as PFC can improve the power factor system from 0.67 to 0.93.

Abstract

Sun light is one form of energy from natural resources. These solar natural resources have been widely used to supply electrical power in communication satellites through solar cells. This solar cell can produce unlimited amounts of electrical energy directly taken from the sun. The solar panel itself has the maximum body temperature which influences the output of the solar panel. Solar cell panels have a decreased ability to generate electricity if it overheats or goes through the limits of effectiveness. Therefore, a cooling tower system is developed using the Fuzzy Logic method through this study with the aim of maximizing the efficiency of solar cell panels in generating electricity and analyzing Solar Panel systems( Photovoltaic). The data analyzed are: 1) The method of cooling solar panels using the cooling tower system with fuzzy logic methods, 2) Efficiency of Solar Cell Panels in generating electricity, 3) Electric power produced by solar cell panels. The results of this study explain that the use of fuzzy logic can regulate the speed of water for cooling on panels so that it can be said that the cooling system for solar panels is suitable for use in the tropics, because sunlight is very abundant and is in the equatorial area.

Abstract

Food security in Indonesia has become a central issue inagricultural development and national development. Theproblem of food and food security cannot be separated fromthe context of rice. This is because rice is a staple foodconsumed by almost all Indonesians. Thus, the availabilityof rice is an important factor in strengthening national foodsecurity. The level of national food security, regional foodsecurity must be followed by the achievement of the level ofresilience of villages, households and individuals. The roleand performance of rice agribusiness institutions areimportant in the effort to achieve household food securityfor rice farmers. The objectives of this research are: 1) toanalyze the food security level of farmers household; 2) toidentify the determinants of food security level; 3) identifyingthe level of food security with the institutional performanceof rice agribusiness. The results of this study indicate that thelevel of household food security is categorized as foodresistance, the determinants of the level of food security areinfluenced by the number of family members and theincome of rice farming. The food resistance category wasfollowed by the institutional performance of PT. Pusri is verygood, PT. Pertani is good, Bank of BRI is good, and farmergroup institutions are moderate.

Abstract

One of the ground coffee businesses in Kepahiang Regency is “Sintaro” operated from 2008 – Today and produces ground coffee through two material selection systems using all ground and red bean. The purpose of the present study was to estimate and analyze the revenue, value-added and marketing of the ground coffee processing which uses red bead and all grade bean.  Value added was analysed using Hayami approach while revenue and marketing were analysed decriptively.  Based on the research result, the revenue of ground coffee processing which  uses red bead was Rp2,512,351/month or profitability level of 58 % while the revenue of ground coffee processing used all grade bean was Rp3,340,409 month profitability level of 42 %. The value-added of processing red bean was Rp 9,676 /Kg with value added ratio of 62% in a single production. The value-added of processing all grade bean was Rp2,834 /Kg with value added ratio of 46% in a single production. Red bean ground coffee marketing covered Bengkulu, Palembang, and Jakarta, with distribution percentages of 62 %, 26 %, and 12%, respectively. Meanwhile, all grade ground coffee covered Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu, Lubuk Linggau and Lampung, with distribution percentages of 35 %, 28 %, 24 %, and 12 %, respectively.

Abstract

In the development of an electric car, many things should be considered for making it an environmentally friendly vehicle and therefore it is suitable for public use, one of them is the dashboard system. A dashboard is an interface device that connects the driver with the electrical and mechanical systems of the vehicle. In this study a dashboard system was developed to display information about electrical aspects of electric cars. The dashboard system is packaged in an Android-based smartphone that is placed on the steering wheel of the car using Bluetooth transmission. The system that is made is portable and universal on all Android smartphones so that with this system the driver can monitor the electrical condition easily and conveniently. The parameters displayed are battery voltage and capacity, current consumption, BLDC motor rotational speed, motor temperature, battery temperature, car speed and energy consumption. This system creates a reading value for each parameter that corresponds to the ratio of the standardized measuring instrument with an average error of 0.38% for the voltage sensor, 1.06% for the current sensor, 1.21% and 2.98% for the temperature sensor, 0.07% for the speed sensor and the use of the coulomb counting method for reading the state of charge (SoC) value produces an average error of 1.57%. By comparing the value of energy consumption reading with a standard wattmeter, we obtained an average difference of 1.69%.
