Abstract

This paper reinterprets the Pre-prophetic stage of the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ life as a manifestation of Taqdīr Ilāhī (Divine Orchestration) and Manhaj al-Rūḥānī (Spiritual Paradigm). It states that these formative years were neither accidental but constituted divinely arranged stages of spiritual purification, ethical cultivation, and inner discipline—designed by Allah to mould him into the supreme moral exemplar and Insān al-Kāmil (Perfect Human). By re-examining pivotal Themes—such as the divine selection of Arabia, his orphanhood, his rearing in the desert, his experience as a shepherd, and his practice of Tahannuth (spiritual retreats) in the Cave of Ḥirāʾ—the study demonstrates how these experiences nurtured key prophetic virtues, including empathy, patience, moral sensitivity, resilience, self-mastery, and contemplative depth which later helped him to Propagate his mission effectively. Drawing upon classical Sirah sources alongside contemporary Fiqh al-Sīrah scholarship, the paper situates the Prophet’s early life within a wider theological and spiritual interpretive framework. Methodologically, the study adopts a qualitative approach grounded in descriptive, hermeneutical, and discursive analysis. Eventually, it proposes and higlighlights that the early phase of Prophets life embodies a divinely ordained curriculum of prophetic refinement and, by extension, offers a timeless model for individuals seeking spiritual renewal and moral elevation today. Reflecting on the Prophet’s inner journey prior to revelation can thus guide contemporary communities toward spiritual strength, ethical clarity, and deeper connectedness with the Divine.

Abstract

In the contemporary context, the purity of the Islamic creed faces various intellectual and ideological challenges, such as secularism, liberalism, and other deviant currents, alongside the influence of digital media that normalizes values contrary to Islamic teachings. This situation necessitates a clear and authoritative framework to safeguard the integrity of the Muslim creed. Accordingly, this study aims to analyze the core principles of the Qur’anic methodology in preserving the creed, particularly through the affirmation of tawḥīd, the rejection of shirk, and the rectification of doctrinal deviations. The study employs a library research method with a qualitative, text-based analytical approach, involving content analysis of Qur’anic verses and the interpretations of authoritative scholars in the fields of creed and Islamic thought. The findings indicate that the Qur’an presents a comprehensive and integrated methodology for preserving the creed, encompassing the construction of faith grounded in tawḥīd, the purification of belief from elements of shirk and superstition, and the exposure of various forms of misguidance and intellectual deviation. This methodology functions not only as a defensive safeguard for the creed but also as an effective and relevant framework for faith education in addressing contemporary challenges faced by the Muslim community.

Abstract

This article examines whether gender equality in the Qur’an is a product of modern reinterpretation or a feature embedded within the communicative architecture of revelation itself. Focusing on Q 33:35, Q 9:71, Q 4:124, and Q 3:195, the study employs an integrative qualitative approach combining critical discourse analysis, rhetorical examination, and ethical-hermeneutical reflection. The findings demonstrate that discursive equality is textually encoded through structured gender parallelism, reciprocal moral guardianship, and eschatological symmetry. Q 33:35 performs equality through explicit masculine–feminine pairing; Q 9:71 constructs men and women as mutual allies in ethical governance; and Q 4:124 and Q 3:195 affirm universal divine recompense irrespective of gender. Together, these verses establish a dialogic model in which men and women are co-addressed moral subjects and co-bearers of agency. While historical interpretations have often privileged hierarchical readings, the Qur’an’s linguistic and ethical design sustains a recoverable framework of shared accountability and justice. The study argues that discursive equality is not a concession to modernity but a normative principle rooted in revelation’s communicative logic. By aligning interpretive practice with this architecture, the Qur’an emerges as a dynamic ethical text capable of sustaining gender-inclusive moral authority across contexts.
