Abstract

The internet is a familiar presence in society, offering a multitude of conveniences, including news access and business transactions. It enables people to easily obtain information without incurring significant costs and provides a platform for various types of information and news. Furthermore, it facilitates business opportunities, with marketing being a pivotal aspect. Online marketing, facilitated by e-commerce, is a key avenue enabled by the internet. E-commerce involves conducting business activities using online platforms. The growth of this e-commerce system is evident in the increasing number of users over the years. This research aims to analyze the e-commerce platforms employed as marketing tools by online shops in Medan City, as well as the strategies employed by businesses in leveraging e-commerce. Additionally, the study aims to identify the factors driving the use of e-commerce in online shop businesses in Medan City and examine the optimization techniques applied when utilizing e-commerce as a marketing medium. The research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The findings reveal that e-commerce plays a significant role as a marketing medium for online businesses, particularly in Medan City. It simplifies product marketing, expands the reach of businesses, saves time, and facilitates effective promotional activities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of organizational culture, leadership, and work stress on employee performance within the Maluku Province Information and Communication Service. The research follows a survey methodology, employing a quantitative analysis approach for data analysis. The study utilizes a census sampling technique, involving a total of 97 respondents. The data is subjected to multiple linear regression for statistical analysis. The results of the quantitative analysis establish several key findings. Organizational culture exhibits a significant positive impact on enhancing employee performance, while leadership also significantly contributes to improved employee performance. On the other hand, work stress demonstrates a notable negative influence on employee performance. For future researchers, it is recommended to consider incorporating additional variables, such as role ambiguity, and applying Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis for a more comprehensive understanding of the relationships.

Abstract

Speaking is considered by language testers to be the most difficult of the four language skills to assess. This study aims to (1) investigate the model of authentic assessment for speaking skills and (2) explore the implementation of authentic assessment activities in the Speaking Class at the Quwaish English Arabic course in Juwiring, Klaten. The research utilizes a descriptive qualitative method, gathering data through observations and recordings. The study includes three English teachers and sixteen students from various grades as observation samples during the teaching and learning process. The findings of this study conclude that five authentic assessment models are suitable for students at the Quwaish English Arabic course. These models encompass role play, information gap activities, picture talks, brief question and answer sessions, narrating sequences, and pair dialogues.
