Abstract

The school library is one of the places of learning in schools to assist students in finding and adding knowledge. With the advancement of information technology, school libraries have shifted from conventional libraries to digital libraries. Digital libraries have advantages over conventional libraries because websites can be accessed anywhere and no longer need to come to the library. Thus the current digital library is very much needed. The purpose of this research is to design a website-based digital library at SMAN 21 Bandung, this is because SMAN 21 Bandung has a conventional library. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method, while the data collection techniques are carried out by conducting observations, interviews and literature studies. The result of this research is to produce a web - based digital library design at SMAN 21 Bandung. This research produces a digital library design consisting of User Login Features, User Authority, New Member Input, Collection Input, Collection Borrowing, Collection Returns, Borrowing and Returning Reports, Forums. For future research, it is possible to apply digital attendance and labeling of collections using RFID so that it can facilitate daily operations in the library.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation and testing of a digital archiving system in Karyawangi Village, West Bandung Regency, and its impact on the village's economic transformation through improved administrative efficiency and transparency. Prior to the digital archiving system, archive management was conducted manually, often resulting in issues such as the loss of important documents, difficulty in access, and slow administrative processes. The implementation of the digital archiving system is expected to provide solutions to these problems by offering easier access, better security, and greater time efficiency. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to village residents involved in using the system, as well as documentation related to the implementation process. The study's findings indicate that the majority of respondents, 83%, stated that the digital archiving system facilitates access to documents. Additionally, 75% of respondents noted an increase in time efficiency in archive management, while 80% expressed satisfaction with the overall system. However, the study also identified challenges in the implementation, such as frequent technical disruptions, which could affect the overall user experience. Overall, the results of this study show that the digital archiving system positively contributes to archive management in Karyawangi Village and supports the village's economic transformation by enhancing administrative efficiency and transparency. However, further improvements are necessary to address existing technical obstacles to ensure that the benefits of this system can be fully optimized by all users.

Abstract

Population mobility occurs every day. Many factors encourage individuals to make the movement. In addition to economic driving factors, social factors such as public services also influence individual decisions to migrate. Regions with good quality public services will trigger migration growth. The quality of public services is assessed on individual perceptions. This research focuses on 4 (four) perceptions of public services, namely perceptions of transportation services, perceptions of education services, perceptions of health services, and perceptions of business license services. The test was carried out using the Random Effect Probit Regression method. We find that perceptions of transportation services, education and business permits have a significant effect on migration.

Abstract

Obesity begins to be experienced by households with high, middle and low incomes. The prevalence of obesity is increasing along with globalization which makes access to food easier and the price of processed food is cheap but has high calories. Most households use their income for food consumption. Therefore, consumption of processed and processed foods is closely related to the risk of obesity. In this study, we investigated the extent to which processed and processed consumption affects obesity in Indonesia using the Instrumental Variable Probit method. We found that processed and processed consumption had a positive and significant effect on the obesity probability of 0.756. The random effect test also shows that fast and processed consumption has a positive and significant effect on the probability of obesity, such as those who live in urban areas increase the probability of experiencing obesity. Another findings show that life style, medical history and insurance status also have positive effect on obesity.

Abstract

Poverty remains a significant issue in North Sumatra, with the percentage of poor people in urban areas reaching 4.93% in 2022 and 4.67% in the first semester of 2023. This phenomenon is influenced by various factors, including inflation, unemployment rate, per capita income, and Human Development Index (HDI). This study aims to examine the effects of these factors on poverty levels, measured by the Poverty Severity Index (PSI), and to evaluate the role of zakat as a moderating variable in the relationship between economic factors and poverty. The study findings reveal that inflation and per capita income have a significant negative impact on PSI, meaning that increases in inflation and per capita income are associated with a reduction in poverty severity. Conversely, HDI shows a significant positive impact on PSI, indicating that higher HDI in some regions can actually increase poverty severity. The unemployment rate does not show a significant effect on PSI. The role of zakat as a moderating variable was also found to be significant. Zakat weakens the negative effect of inflation on poverty and strengthens the negative effect of per capita income on poverty. However, zakat does not moderate the relationship between HDI and unemployment rate with poverty. This study provides insights into how zakat can function as a tool to enhance the effectiveness of economic factors in reducing poverty in North Sumatra.

Abstract

This research is designed using behavioral accounting research with a quantitative approach. The research sample was 83 respondents at the BPKP Representative Office of West Sumatra Province obtained through a multi-stage sampling procedure. Model and hypothesis testing using SEM-PLS. Empirical results show that locus of control and professional commitment show a significant and positively correlated effect on audit quality. Time Budget Pressure and workplace spirituality show an insignificant effect on audit quality. Auditor acceptance of the occurrence of audit dysfunctional behavior has a negative and significant effect on audit quality. The variable audit dysfunctional behavior is unable to moderate the effect of locus of control, professional commitment, time budget pressure, and workplace spirituality on audit quality. Although audit dysfunctional behavior does not significantly act as a moderating variable, this study contributes to BPKP in monitoring audit quality, by encouraging the optimization of the implementation of BPKP policy Number 2 of 2023 concerning the Management of Supervisory Assignments.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in Earnings Management and the effect of Institutional Ownership, Managerial Ownership, Audit Committee Competencies, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), and Nonperforming Loan (NPL) on Earnings Management proxied by Discretionary Loan Loss Provision (DLLP) pre and post-PSAK 109 implementation in Indonesian bank listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). This study uses Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression and Wilcoxon signed-rank test to test the hypothesis. The study used the period pre and post implementation of PSAK 109. We traced each bank's financial report listed on the IDX from 2017 to 2020 to anticipate early implementation. Using purposive sampling, we obtained 40 pre-PSAK 109 and 40 post-PSAK 109 bank samples. This study found no difference in earnings management pre and post-PSAK 109. Institutional Ownership, Managerial Ownership, and Audit Committee Competencies do not affect Earnings Management pre and post-PSAK 109. NPL is positively related to Earnings Management pre and post-PSAK 109, and CAR is positively related to Earnings Management pre-PSAK 109 but has no effect on Earnings Management post-PSAK 109. This study provides additional information for standard setters and OJK regarding monitoring earnings management practices in banking pre and post-PSAK 109.
