Abstract

Ovarian cysts are a type of reproductive disease that often attacks women. Ovarian cysts are collections of fluid in the ovaries or fallopian tubes that accumulate and are surrounded by a membrane formed from the outer layer of the ovaries. Many people, especially women of childbearing age, do not know the factors that cause ovarian cysts themselves. Cyst Factor Analysis aims to increase public knowledge for early prevention. This research is a type of quantitative research using a cross sectional approach. The sample used was 109 respondents and anticipated drop out was 121 respondents in the work area of the Tlogosari Kulon Semarang Health Center. The sample was taken using a probability sampling technique with a simple random sampling type. The comparative test used was the Chi-Square test. The results of research using the Chi-Square test proved that the p value of the ovarian cyst factors was <0.05. This shows that there is a significant and strengthening relationship between age, menstrual cycle, genetic history, parity, economic status, history of previous cysts, menarche, hypothyroidism. There is a relationship between age, menstrual cycle, genetic history, parity, economic status, history of previous cysts, menarche, hypothyroidism on the incidence of ovarian cysts in women of childbearing age at the Tlogosari Kulon Semarang Community Health Center, and factors that have a significant influence are genetic history with a p-value <0.050.

Abstract

Attachment is a form of mutually beneficial emotional relationship between mother and baby. There is poor attachment caused by inappropriate parenting patterns from parents. Good parenting patterns can stimulate spiritual, intellectual, emotional, moral, and social development, so that infant growth can run optimally. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal attachment and infant growth and development in the work area of the Cabean Village Health Center. This study is quantitative, with a descriptive analysis approach and using a cross-sectional method. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires. There were 139 respondents taken using the total sampling method. The analysis used was the Gamma test. From the analysis of respondent data, it was found that there were an average of 85 male babies. The majority of mothers' ages were in the range of 26-35 years with a percentage of 56.8%, and multiparity parity reached 61.9%. Most of them had education up to junior high school level as much as 42.4%, and most worked as housewives with a percentage of 66.2%. The results of the gamma test showed that there was a relationship between maternal attachment and infant growth and development, where maternal attachment to infant growth had a p-value (BB = 0.000, PB = 0.001), while attachment to infant development showed a p-value (0.000) with (OR = 0.555 and 0.613 CI = 0.726). This means that there is a significant relationship between maternal attachment and infant growth and development in the work area of the Cabean Village Health Center (p-value <0.05).

Abstract

Menstruation is a sign that a woman has a uterus in her stomach, so menstruation is normal for all women. Sharia-based menstruation has differences in terms of cleansing (hygiene), counting the menstrual blood that comes out, prohibitions, and what is permitted during menstruation. This research is quantitative research, using Pre-Experimental Design with a Two Group Pretest-Posttest design. Sampling used a stratified random sampling technique, the number of respondents was 64 female students using the paired t-test. The results of the respondent analysis weare obtained from 32 respondents at SMA 3 Sultan Agung, on average there were 25 female students aged 17 years with a percentage of (78.1%). And it is known that of the 32 respondents at SMA 1 Sultan Agung, the average number of 17 year old female students was 22 respondents with a percentage of (66.7%). And the test results show that the level of knowledge of SMA 3 Sultan Agung female students increased significantly after receiving the intervention from (30.46%) to (86.87%). However, this is different from SMA 1 Sultan Agung, where there are only slight changes because there is no intervention. There is an influence of Sharia-based menstrual education on adolescent behavior during menstruation in high school with a p-value of 0.001 (p-value < 0.05)

Abstract

This review analyzes 47 studies (N=12,487 refugees) published between 2010-2024 to compare the effectiveness of adaptive and maladaptive coping strategies in addressing trauma and stress among Middle Eastern refugees. The results of the analysis, utilizing a random effects model, affirm that adaptive coping strategies are positively correlated with psychological well-being (r = 0.62, p < 0.001) and social adjustment (r = 0.58, p < 0.001) of Middle Eastern refugees. Conversely, maladaptive strategies are associated with an increase in symptoms of depression (r = 0.45, p < 0.001) and anxiety (r = 0.52, p < 0.001). Furthermore, the moderator analysis reveals that social support enhances the positive effects of adaptive strategies (β = 0.34, p < 0.01). At the same time, trauma conditions exacerbate the negative impact of maladaptive strategies among refugees (β = 0.41, p < 0.001). Thus, these findings extend prior research by Alzoubi et al. (2019) and Paudyal et al. (2021), which focused solely on a single type of coping strategy, by providing insights into the complex interactions between various strategies and contextual factors affecting the coping mechanisms of Middle Eastern refugees as a novel contribution. Additionally, this research uniquely emphasizes, lacking in previous literature, that a combination of problem-focused and emotion-focused coping strategies can result in better adaptation outcomes for trauma-affected Middle Eastern refugees compared to the use of a singular strategy (d = 0.76, p < 0.001).

Abstract

Through a systematic review and meta-analysis, this research investigates the relationship between spirituality and psychological resilience in the Afghan population. Of the 1,247 identified studies, 47 (N=12,468) met the inclusion criteria. The results of the random-effects model analysis confirm a strong positive correlation between spirituality and psychological resilience (r = 0.64, 95% CI [0.58, 0.70], p < .001). Furthermore, there is significant heterogeneity among studies (I² = 76.3%, Q = 182.45, p < .001). Additionally, moderator analysis reveals that the effect of spirituality on resilience is significantly stronger in Afghan groups experiencing war trauma (β = 0.72) compared to non-traumatized groups (β = 0.51). Meta-regression results indicate that daily spiritual practice accounts for 43.2% of the total variance in psychological resilience among the Afghan community. In comparison to the findings of Salsman et al. (2015) and Schwalm et al. (2022), which reported a moderate correlation between the two variables (r = 0.45-0.52), this study has reinforced the presence of a stronger effect of spirituality on resilience in the context of prolonged conflict, presenting a novel contribution. Lastly, the mediation analysis indicates that the sense of meaning in life mediates the spirituality-resilience relationship in Afghanistan by 67.8% (95% CI [61.2, 74.5]). This research expands upon the findings of Meichenbaum (2008) by identifying specific mechanisms that explain the protective role of spirituality in the context of collective trauma in Afghanistan. Thus, these findings can universally serve as an empirical foundation for developing spirituality-based interventions for trauma recovery in communities affected by prolonged conflict.
