Abstract

The Great Commission is the last command of Jesus Christ to His disciples before ascending to heaven. This Great Commission is stated in the Gospel of Matthew 28:19-20. This sacred mandate calls every believer to remain steadfast and actively participate in it (cf. 2 Timothy 4:2a).  In this context, the mission extends beyond reaching those far from Christian circles or confined to those outside the home. It also applies to reaching those within families, particularly in how to reach children, who are a gift from God, and need to receive the touch of this Great Commission. Regarding this, the research is aimed at examining: What is the biblical theological concept of family for Christians? How is the biblical theological concept of parents' role as spiritual educators applied within the family? What is the essence of the biblical theological teaching role within the family? What are the challenges faced by parents as educators within the family? The study employs qualitative research with a literature review approach. This study reveals that parents, as primary educators within the Christian family, play an essential role in imparting spiritual education to their children. The research highlights that despite challenges such as cultural shifts and the pressure of modern life, the biblical mandate for parents to guide their children in faith remains critical for fostering a strong Christian identity within the family.

Abstract

Indonesia was declared the country with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in ASEAN, and East Java was the province with the highest confirmed case fatality rate (7.3%) in 2021. In the case of COVID-19, there was a drastic elevation of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. This study aimed to ensure the role of IL-10 against pulmonary fibrosis in COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients. This study is a cross-sectional (non-experimental) study. The study sample consisted of 40 lung tissue samples from COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients at Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital, Surabaya. The IL-10 antibody reagent (GTX632359, GeneTex) was used to assess IL-10 expression, and hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) were used to determine the degree of pulmonary fibrosis. For Spearman's correlation, the data were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The mean percentage of IL-10 expression in COVID-19 patients (40.07%) was higher than in non-COVID-19 patients (26.60%). However, the mean for the degree of pulmonary fibrosis score in non-COVID-19 patients (4.43) was higher than in COVID-19 patients (3.67). Furthermore, a negative correlation (p=0.000; r=-0.281) was found between the percentage of IL-10 expression and the degree of pulmonary fibrosis. The percentage of IL-10 expression in macrophage cells had a significant negative correlation with the degree of pulmonary fibrosis score.

Abstract

This study examines the legal consequences of the Decree of the TNI Commander regarding land ownership disputes in Lidah Kulon Village, Surabaya, as addressed in Decision No. 124/G/2014/PTUN.SBY. The case involves claims from 156 individuals asserting ownership over 8.5 hectares of land, initially granted for TNI-AL members. The research highlights legal complexities arising from conflicting decrees, including Skep/29/IV/1993, and subsequent agreements involving PT. Ciputra Graha Prima Surabaya. Using normative legal research methods, this study analyzes the judicial considerations, ratio decidendi, and procedural limitations in the State Administrative Court (PTUN). The findings reveal that the object of the lawsuit does not fulfill the criteria of a concrete, individual, and final State Administrative Decision as defined by Indonesian law, leading to its inadmissibility (Niet Ontvankelijk verklaard). This research underscores the importance of transparency and adherence to legal frameworks in resolving administrative disputes involving state agencies and individual rights.

Abstract

Risk-Based Audit to Reduce Water Loss (NRW) at PDAM Giri Tirta, Gresik Regency, is an important approach to supporting sustainable Good Corporate Governance (GCG). This study explores the use of risk-based audits at PDAM Giri Tirta in Gresik Regency to reduce Non-Revenue Water (NRW) and support Good Corporate Governance (GCG). The findings show that risk-based audits are effective in identifying water loss, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing the company's financial and governance practices. This research is designed as a case study of qualitative methods to analyze the implementation of risk-based audits in PDAM Giri Tirta, Gresik Regency. Primary data was obtained through interviews with the general director, the director of the Internal Control Department, the meter recording section, and the accounting section. In contrast, the secondary data was composed of financial documentation. The results show that the water leakage rate is still high, but risk-based audits can help identify and reduce water loss and improve the operational efficiency of PDAMs. The theoretical implication of this study is a paradigm shift in auditing towards a risk-based approach, while it can practically help PDAM companies manage risks and improve operational performance.

Abstract

Multifuel stove is an innovation of conventional stove that has the advantage of being able to use various types of fuel. In its operation, multifuel stove consists of many important components, one of which is the combustion tube. This study aims to find out the effect of variations in the diameter of the combustion tube on the characteristics of the flame and water temperature during the heating process. The method used in this study is a combination of experimental studies and literature studies. The variations in the diameter of the combustion tube tested were 4, 5, and 6 inches using used oil and kerosene as fuel. The test results showed that increasing the diameter of the combustion tube tended to accelerate the extinguishing of the fire, this was influenced by a phenomenon called the quenching effect. Meanwhile, the flame temperature tended to be lower with increasing tube diameter. The color of the flame and the temperature of the water were not too influenced by variations in tube diameter and type of fuel. The highest flame temperature was recorded on a 4-inch cylinder with used oil fuel, reaching 719.2 °C, while the longest flame duration was 16.92 minutes on a 4 -inch cylinder with used oil fuel. In conclusion, the performance of used oil can exceed that of kerosene.
