Abstract

Floods are natural events that occur in areas with high river discharge. This research focuses on seasonal flooding events in Cenrana Sub-district triggered by high rainfall and flooding in the upper reaches of the Walannae River in Wajo Regency. Factors such as slope, elevation, soil type and land use are thought to influence flooding. In addition to physical aspects, vulnerability factors including physical, social and economic vulnerability also play a role in the impact of post-flood disasters. The research methodology used Weighted Overlay analysis based on vulnerability parameters through scoring method to assess the level of flood risk and qualitative descriptive analysis method for control measures in Cenrana Sub-district. The results showed a low flood risk area of 41.55 km2, a medium risk area of 76.65 km2, and a high risk area of 25.25 km2. Disaster control strategies must consider the risk classification of the affected area, where high-risk areas require building regulation policies along rivers and seas, integrated disaster insurance, and medium-risk areas that require irrigation and drainage systems, as well as disaster education for residents. This research provides valuable insights for local governments in formulating flood disaster management policies and serves as a reference for studying risk mapping in the future.

Abstract

The demand for land is a fundamental necessity that continues to change in line with population growth and regional development. As the center of activities, Yogyakarta City faces land limitations, leading to the expansion of residential areas into surrounding regions, including Ngemplak District, Sleman Regency. This study aims to analyze the suitability of residential land use in Ngemplak District with the Detailed Spatial Plan (RDTR) for the Sleman Timur Area. The analysis compares the pattern of residential development with the designated zoning in the RDTR. The results indicate that the proportion of residential areas complying with the RDTR increased from 31.02% in 2014 to 31,81% in 2024, reflecting more effective spatial planning. However, 2.32% of residential areas in 2024 remain inconsistent with land-use designations. The implementation of the RDTR has proven effective in controlling residential development, yet further monitoring is required to ensure sustainable land use.

Abstract

This research aims analyzing the urban morphology of Padang City in 2010 - 2025. 2). the development pattern of Padang city. The rate of urban sprawl in Padang City. Descriptive quantitative research with a spatial approach, utilizing Geographic Information Systems. Landsat image data from 2010, 2015, 2020 and 2025 were used to identify land use change. Spatial metric analysis with Fragstats 4.2 to measure fragmentation, density, diversity of built-up areas, while Shannon's Entropy model to measure the rate of expansion. The results showed that 1). The morphology of Padang City was identified as fragmented. 2) The development pattern of built-up area shows a significant increase from 2535.94 Ha in 2010 to 55,71.72 Ha in 2025. 3) The rate of urban sprawl falls into the category of “depressed high development” with low levels of sprawl, where the growth of built-up land tends to follow a linear pattern along the road network rather than radially centralized. These findings highlight the importance of stricter RTRW implementation and integrated urban planning to manage sustainable urban growth in Padang City.

Abstract

Health is a basic human right, but access to health services in Bekasi City still experiences inequality based on socio-economic and geographical factors. This study analyzes inequality in access to health services in Bekasi City based on the distribution of hospitals, population density, and transportation infrastructure. Using a descriptive qualitative method with GIS spatial analysis, this study found that although the number of hospitals is quite large, their distribution is uneven, especially in sub-districts with high population density such as Jatisampurna and Bantargebang, and limited access to public transportation in some areas. These results suggest that there is a need to improve the distribution of health facilities and transportation infrastructure to increase access to health services in Bekasi City

Abstract

Wonogiri Regency is located in Central Java Province and is a Regency that has a fairly high risk of flooding. Wonogiri Regency has an uneven topography and tends to be hilly and has steep slopes and is located in the upper reaches of the Bengawan Solo Watershed. The threat of natural disasters that occur in Wonogiri Regency requires knowledge and readiness in dealing with natural disasters, especially for children. This study aims to analyze the effect of flood knowledge on flood disaster readiness in students of SMA N 1 Wonogiri. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research with a correlational approach. The number of samples used was 307 students at SMA N 1 Wonogiri which was calculated using the simple random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used the Spearman rank correlation test. The results of the study showed that the level of knowledge of SMA N 1 Wonogiri students regarding flood disasters was in the Very Good category. Furthermore, the level of flood disaster readiness of SMA N 1 Wonogiri students was included in the Very Ready category. Based on the results of the Spearman rank correlation test, the Sig. value was found. (2-tailed) 0.000 the results indicate that there is a significant influence between flood knowledge and flood disaster preparedness among students at SMA N 1 Wonogiri (0.000<0.05).
