Abstract

In an increasingly advanced digital era, the need for technical skills in the world of education has become a major highlight. Specialization-based education is the focus in higher education. In this situation, Liberal Arts education also has a very important role in developing cross-disciplinary skills and human skills holistically. This article aims to investigate the relevance of Liberal Arts education in the digital era and try to identify how Liberal Arts education can make a contribution to higher education in facing the challenges of the digital age. This research uses a qualitative approach by conducting a literature review of various relevant sources regarding Liberal Arts education and developments in the digital era. The articles analyzed included five scientific articles originating from research journals. This qualitative approach allows the author to present a comprehensive picture of the relevance of Liberal Arts education in the digital era. The results found by the author through these articles state that Liberal Arts education has an important role in preparing students to face the complexities of the digital era. The critical skills, systemic thinking, effective communication and professional ethics taught in Liberal Arts education provide a strong foundation for students.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to get an empirical picture of how teachers improve their performance in learning through academic supervision with a collaborative approach for teachers at SD Negeri Temanggal, Adimulyo District, Kebumen Regency in semester 2 of the 2022/2023 school year. This research uses School Action Research or School Action Research to see how teachers carry out learning in semester 2 of the 2022/2023 academic year at SD Negeri Temanggal, Adimulyo District, Kebumen Regency. Using Miles and Humberman's interactive model, data analysis was carried out in four stages: (1) data collection and review; (2) comparative description; (3) data presentation; and (4) draw verification of conclusions. Important findings in this research are: 1). Teacher performance continues to improve after academic supervision is carried out. 2). Academic supervision with a collaborative approach can increase learning effectiveness for teachers at SD Negeri Temanggal, Adimulyo District, Kebumen Regency.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how to improve learning outcomes for UPT SPF SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal, especially class VIII-9 so that through the use of the demonstration method, it can influence learning outcomes for Physical Education lessons. This research uses a quantitative approach using the demonstration method. The subjects in this research were students in class VIII-9 at UPT SPF SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal for the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 31 students consisting of 16 male and 15 female students. The data collection technique was carried out using the technique of percentage of individual absorption capacity and classical completeness, namely: individually at least 25% and classically 100%. And by conducting observations with teachers regarding the implementation of learning through the use of demonstration methods and observing students. The results of this research are (1) Improving student learning outcomes in completing Physical Education questions in class VIII-9 UPT SPF SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal for the 2022/2023 academic year. This can be seen from the results of observations of learning methods during demonstrations by these students. The results of the cycle were obtained. I and II cycles, namely: 4% and 21% (2) Applying the demonstration method in class VIII-9 for the 2022/2023 academic year can improve learning outcomes in the volleyball bottom passing learning process. This can be seen from the results of the students' learning outcomes. The results obtained from cycle I and cycle II were: 4% and 21%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how to improve learning outcomes at Sunggal 2 State Middle School. especially class VII-5 so that through the use of lecture methods plus demonstrations and exercises, learning outcomes in Civics lessons can be influenced. This research uses a quantitative approach using the demonstration method. The subjects in this research were students in class VII-5 at UPT SPF SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal for the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 32 students consisting of 16 male and 16 female students. The data collection technique was carried out using the technique of percentage of individual absorption capacity and classical completeness, namely: individually at least 25% and classically 100%. And by conducting observations with teachers regarding the implementation of learning through the use of lecture methods plus demonstrations and exercises as well as observing students. The results of this research are (1) Improving the learning outcomes of PPKn students in class VII-5 UPT SPF SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal for the 2022/2023 academic year. This can be seen from the results of observations during demonstrations by these students obtained from cycle I and cycle II. namely: 20% and 73% (2) Applying the discussion method in class VII-5 for the 202/2023 academic year can improve learning outcomes in material learning to increase awareness of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Numerous significant changes in social, economic, political, and even educational spheres have emerged from the reform era. After the crisis struck and sparked a recession, Pancasila started to change. As a result, Pancasila education is necessary to transmit Pancasila ideals from generation to generation. The degree of pupils' knowledge and comprehension of Pancasila doctrine is the issue at hand. How might the Pancasila attitude among students be strengthened? Pancasila is significant not only as a way of life but also as the basis of the nation and its identity. Pancasila serves as a state ideology and occasionally faces a number of difficulties. in order to preserve Pancasila's status as the official state philosophy.

Abstract

The research investigates the evolving nature of career guidance, analyzing the impact of social networks on students' exposure to diverse career opportunities and information sources. It underscores the shift from traditional, limited career information sources within schools and immediate environments to the vast array of resources available through social networking platforms. The study employs a comprehensive analysis of survey data, exploring respondents' perceptions and acceptance levels regarding the utilization of social networks for career guidance. Statistical analysis reveals an insignificant relationship between social network usage and career guidance among secondary students, prompting a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding the efficacy of these platforms in guiding career decisions. It was recommended that advocate for enhancing online career guidance resources, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, strengthening digital literacy programs, bridging gaps between social networks and formal career guidance, and encouraging continued research to comprehend the dynamic relationship between social networks and career choices among secondary students.

Abstract

This study investigated the relationship between self-efficacy, gender, and drug addiction among secondary school students in Ilorin West local government area of Kwara State. A sample of 150 responses was anlysed. Correlation analysis revealed a significant negative association between self-efficacy and drug addiction (r = -0.47, p < 0.05). Additionally, gender displayed a moderate positive correlation with drug addiction (r = 0.52, p < 0.05). However, the regression analysis did not find a significant combined contribution of self-efficacy, drug addiction, and gender to the students' performance (F (2, 147) = 2.87, p > 0.05). The findings suggest that while self-efficacy and gender individually associate with drug addiction, their combined influence does not significantly predict academic performance among secondary school students in Ilorin West.

Abstract

The study was conducted to understand the complexities of educational change resistance of primary school teachers in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State. The study employed the thematic qualitative design approach. Convenience sampling was used to select ten participants who were willing to participate and could access the online survey interview that was conducted. The instrument used was Educational Change Resistance Interview (ECRI).Data collected was analysed and common themes were identified. The results revealed that educational change is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that requires a holistic and contextualized understanding of teachers’ perceptions, experiences, and factors that influence their resistance or acceptance. Resistance of educational change can be curbed through compensation, motivation, support and training, communication and involvement.

Abstract

This study scrutinizes counselors perceptions regarding the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in advancing accessibility and inclusivity within Counselling services. A total of 159 counselor professionals participated in the survey, with 124 males and 35 females. The analysis of mean scores displayed a noteworthy variance between male (M = 3.845, SD = 1.39841) and female (M = 3.50013, SD = 1.50923) counsellor professionals' perceptions regarding ICT's influence on enhancing accessibility and inclusivity. The statistical examination utilizing an ANOVA test indicated a non-significant difference between the perceptions of male and female professionals (F-cal. = 1.726, df_between = 3, df_within = 2, p = .415). Consequently, the null hypothesis revealed no significant variance in perceptions based on gender was accepted.

Abstract

This quantitative analysis investigates the impact of primary school teacher professional development programs on teacher motivation, pedagogical practices, and student learning outcomes in Pakistan. The study aims to provide empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of such programs and their influence on the educational landscape in the country. The research employs a rigorous quantitative research design, utilizing pre- and post-intervention data from a sample of primary school teachers in Pakistan. The participants will be divided into two groups: an experimental group that receives professional development training and a control group that does not. The study will assess teacher motivation, pedagogical practices, and student learning outcomes through validated instruments and standardized assessments. The findings will reveal a significant positive impact of the professional development programs on teacher motivation. Teachers who will participate in the training demonstrate higher levels of motivation, engagement, and job satisfaction compared to the control group. The programs will also contribute to improve pedagogical practices, including the implementation of effective instructional strategies, classroom management techniques, and assessment methods. Furthermore, the study will establish a positive association between teacher participation in professional development programs and enhanced student learning outcomes. Students taught by teachers who underwent the training show significant improvement in academic achievement, cognitive skills, and overall educational attainment. The research will underscore the importance of investing in teacher professional development programs to elevate the quality of education in Pakistan. The results will highlight the potential of these programs to enhance teacher motivation, improve pedagogical practices, and ultimately foster better student learning outcomes. Policymakers and educational stakeholders are encouraged to prioritize and allocate resources for sustainable and impactful teacher training initiatives to promote educational excellence and equity in the Pakistani context.
