Abstract

The decline in cayenne pepper crop production is partly due to low soil fertility. Efforts to increase crop production can be done by applying rice husk ash as a soil reformer combined with ZA fertilizer, so that plant nutrient needs are fulfilled. This study aims to determine the effect of applying rice husk ash and ZA fertilizer and their interactions on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants and to determine the dose of husk ash and ZA fertilizer that is suitable for the growth of cayenne pepper plants. This research was carried out in North Huntu Village, South Bulango District, Bone Bolango Regency, for four months starting from June to September 2021. This research use Factorial Group Randomized Design which consists of 2 factors. The first factor is rice husk ash which consists of three levels, namely 40, 50, and 60 g plant-1. The second one is ZA fertilizer with 3 levels, namely 10, 20, and 30 g plant-1. The observed parameters include plant height, number of productive branches, the weight of fruits, and the number of fruits. The data analysis uses analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a 5% BNT test. The results showed that rice husk ash and ZA fertilizer affected the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants. The best results are obtained with the application of husk ash at a dose of 60 g plant-1 and ZA fertilizer at 30 g plant-1.Keywords: Rice husk ash, ZA fertilizer, cayenne pepper

Abstract

Research aimed to investigating the influence of waste organic fertilizer of Gorontalo City towards Growth and Crop of with watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris Schard). This research was done in village of Tanah Putih, Sub-districh of Botupingge, Bone Bolango Regency That start from May to July 2016. This research applies completely randomized design which consist of 4 levels municipal waste organic fertilizer which are P0 without fertilizer, P1 of 10 t ha-1, P2 of 20 t ha-1, P3 of 30 t ha-1. Every treatment was repeated 3 times, thus there are 12 plots of research. Research finding reveals that treatment of waste organic fertilizer of the City has significant influence towards Grouth and Crop of watermelon that is heigh of plant on age of 2 Weeks after Planting and 3 WAP, amount of flowers to be fruit. Waste Organic fertilizer of the City with dose of 30 t ha-1 geves the best influence towards Grouth and crop of Watermelon. Keywords: Municipal, Waste, Growth, Yield, Watermelon

Abstract

Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill) is the most popular agricultural product with a high economic value in society. Thus, this study aims to determine the effect and interaction of adding coconut water and cow manure on the growth and yield of tomato plants. This research was conducted from August to October 2021 at Putri Mandiri Green House, Sipatana Subdistrict, Gorontalo City using a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The interval of adding coconut water consisted of 3 levels, while the adding of cow dung manure consisted of 4 levels. The results of this study indicated that the interval of adding coconut water and cow manure affected the growth and yield of tomato plants. It is further explained by the following results: 1) The interval of giving coconut water every 8 days has an effect on plant height, 2) The treatment once every 4 days has an effect on the number of leaves of tomato plants, 3) The adding of cow manure in the treatment of 120 g polybag-1gave an effect on the number of leaves, number of fruits, and fruit weight per tomato plant, and 4) The treatment of 60 g polybag-1 had an effect on the fruit weight of tomato plants. Besides, the interaction of treatment intervals of adding coconut water and cow manure did not affect the growth and yield of tomato plants. Keywords: Tomato Plants, Coconut Water, Cow Manure

Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth and yield of lettuce with the application of Siam weed (Chromolaena odorata) organic fertilizer. This research was conducted in North Huntu Village, South Bulango District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province from August to November 2020. The design used was a randomized block design with 4 treatments of siam weed organic fertilizer, namely: P0 = control, P1 = 10 t ha-1, P2 = 20 t ha-1, and P3 = 30 t ha-1. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves and plant fresh weight. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), then further test was carried out at 5% level of least significant different (LSD). The results showed that the application of Siam weed organic fertilizer had an effect on the growth and yield of lettuce plants, including plant height, number of leaves and plant fresh weight. The best dosage that effect on the growth and yield of lettuce was 30 t ha-1.Keywords: fertilizer, siam weed, lettuce

Abstract

This study aims to determine which PGPR can increase the growth and production of cayenne pepper plants and to find out which type of PGPR has the most influence on the growth and production of cayenne pepper plants. This research was conducted in Tanggikiki Village, Sipatana District, Gorontalo City. The study started from April to July 2020. This study used a Randomized Block Design which consisted of 4 levels of treatment, namely PO = control, P1 = bamboo root, P2 = elephant grass root and P3 = Putri malu root. And 5 replications so that 20 experimental units/polybags were obtained. Each experimental unit contained 1 test plant, with a distance between polybags of 50 cm x 50 cm. The data from this study were analyzed using Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA) and then further tested with using BNT (Least Significant Difference) at the 5% level. The results showed that the PGPR treatment of the roots of the shy daughter gave the best results on plant height, number of leaves, number of fruits and fruit weight compared to treatment without PGPR.Keywords: PGPR, Bamboo roots, Elephant grass roots, Shy daughter roots, Cayenne pepper
