Abstract

The transplanting system is a common method in rice cultivation, whereas the direct seed planting system combined with the application of organic fertilizer is rarely applied. This study aimed to determine the impact both the direct seed planting system and the application of liquid organic fertilizer the growth and production of rice. The research used the factorial randomized block design, direct seed planting system tested by the transplanting system and application of liquid organic fertilizer doses 25, 35, and 45 l/ha. The observed variables were plant height, number of tillers, productive tillers, panicle length, weight of 1000 rice grains, and grain yield of plots. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance with 5% LSD test. The results revealed that direct seed planting system and application of liquid organic fertilizer impact the growth and yield of rice. The application of liquid organic fertilizer a dose of 45 l/ha gave the highest influence among all observed variables. There is a correlation between the treatment of the planting system and the application of liquid organic fertilizer on the growth of the number of tillers and productive tillers. The direct seed planting system increases the yield of rice more than the transplanting system.

Abstract

This research discusses two problems, namely the construction performance of agricultural and fisheries development and (2) their impact on community. The research employed qualitative research. The results showed that attainment of agricultural performance in the last five years, gave a quite significant impact on community. Along with the extensive development of the harvest and production, especially for commodity corn, growing on average per year (2012-2016) of 54.8% reached 548,220 tons each year. Agricultural performance has given the economic impact to farmers, with contribution of agricultural sector in gross regional product of Gorontalo Province (30.35% per annum). For the fisheries sector, the fisheries development is shown by the last of five years (2012- 2016), both capture fisheries or fishing areas, the average growing 59,228.6 tons per year. The performance of this economic impact on fishing communities, demonstrated by the contribution of fisheries to GDP of the Province (2012-2016) of 20.06% per year, and per capita income grew an average of Rp 12.51% per year. The second performance of the program impact was significant for society, particularly in the field of education, which is shown by the development of the school's participation numbers, the rate of literacy, and the use of education facilities of community expenditure above 95%.

Abstract

Global competitiveness index report in 2015 has put Indonesia in the 30th rank on one of the research collaboration performance between university and industry as innovation pillar. This indicates that there is still lack of synergy between higher education institutions and industry to develop research output. As the answer to this challenge, the Indonesian government initiated the establishment of Science Techno Park (hereafter, STP) as business technology incubator to stimulate and to manage the flow of knowledge and technology in universities, research and development institutions, industry, and government. However, among eight existing STP and 78 more that were planned to be built, Gorontalo, as an agricultural province with the potential to develop agro STP, was not among them. This study is aimed at examining the area potentials, potential commodities, and agro-industry potentials that are feasible for developing a pilot area for agro STP in Gorontalo province as a basis for implementation of agro-industry cluster policy to strengthen the regional innovation system in Gorontalo province. The data were collected from survey and focus group discussion (FGD). The data were analyzed by using Location Quotient Method and Exponential Comparison Method. The results reveal three potential agro-industry regency areas; Gorontalo Regency, Boalemo Regency, and Gorontalo Utara Regency as well as seven leading commodities for these potential areas; corn, coconut, marine fisheries, cocoa, beef cattle, cassava, and chili. Further, for agro-industry, the most dominant potentials to be developed are flour, beef floss, chips, handicraft, and animal feed.

Abstract

The decline in cayenne pepper crop production is partly due to low soil fertility. Efforts to increase crop production can be done by applying rice husk ash as a soil reformer combined with ZA fertilizer, so that plant nutrient needs are fulfilled. This study aims to determine the effect of applying rice husk ash and ZA fertilizer and their interactions on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants and to determine the dose of husk ash and ZA fertilizer that is suitable for the growth of cayenne pepper plants. This research was carried out in North Huntu Village, South Bulango District, Bone Bolango Regency, for four months starting from June to September 2021. This research use Factorial Group Randomized Design which consists of 2 factors. The first factor is rice husk ash which consists of three levels, namely 40, 50, and 60 g plant-1. The second one is ZA fertilizer with 3 levels, namely 10, 20, and 30 g plant-1. The observed parameters include plant height, number of productive branches, the weight of fruits, and the number of fruits. The data analysis uses analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a 5% BNT test. The results showed that rice husk ash and ZA fertilizer affected the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants. The best results are obtained with the application of husk ash at a dose of 60 g plant-1 and ZA fertilizer at 30 g plant-1.Keywords: Rice husk ash, ZA fertilizer, cayenne pepper

Abstract

Penggunaan pupuk anorganik dalam jangka waktu yang panjang dapat menyebabkan degradasi lahan sehingga dapat menurunkan produksi tanaman, mengatasi hal tersebut diberikan pupuk organik yang ramah lingkungan.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui  pengaruh pertumbuhan tanaman kacang hijau pada pemberian beberapa jenis POC dan  untuk melihat POC yang sesuai pada pertumbuhan tanaman kacang hijau. Penelitiandilaksanakan di Dusun Topolo, DesaDatahu, KecamatanTibawa, Kabupaten Gorontalo, Provinsi Gorontalo pada bulan Oktober sampai Desember 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial (RAKF) dengan 2 faktor yaitu faktor pertama jenis POC hewani terdiri dari tiga taraf yaitu: tanpa POC, urin sapi dan  urin kelinci. Faktor kedua POC nabati: tanpa POC, bonggol pisang, limbah tahu. Analisis data menggunakan ANAVA dengan uji BNT 5%.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa POC hewani yang berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan kacang hijau adalah POC urin kelinci, ditunjukan oleh luas daun, laju pertumbuhan relative dan bobot 100 biji.POC nabati yang berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan kacang hijau adalah POC limbah tahu, ditunjukan oleh luas daun, bobot 100 biji, dan jumlah polong.Kata Kunci: Kacang Hijau, POC hewani, POC nabati

Abstract

Pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sering mengalami hambatan karena ketersediaan unsur hara di dalam tanah tidak mencukupi kebutuhan tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kandungan unsur hara makro NPK dan  C-Organik serta produksi jagung pada lahan jagung di Desa Tabongo Barat Kecamatan Tabongo Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan maret sampai bulan mei 2023 di Desa Tabongo Barat, Kecamatan Tabongo, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei lapangan dengan pengambilan sampel tanah yang akan diuji sifat kimia tanah menggunakan sistem diagonal dengan lima titik pengambilan sampel tanah secara komposit untuk dilakukan analisis laboratorium. Produksi jagung dihitung pada saat panen menggunakan sistem pengubinan dengan ukuran 2x2 cm di tiga titik pengambilan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan membandingkan antara hasil analisis tanah dengan kriteria unsur hara makro C- Organik dan NPK. Hasil penelitian menunjukan keberadaan unsur hara Nitrogen 0,13% - 0,15% kriteria (rendah) fosfor 172ppm - 257ppm kriteria (tinggi) Kalium 177ppm - 254ppm kriteria (tinggi) dan C-organik 1,52% - 2,28% kriteria (tinggi) produksi jagung di hitung dengan menimbang berat tongkol basah dengan klobot mendapatkan hasil 16 ton/ha. Kata Kunci : Hara Makro, NPK, C-Organik. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaian lahan tanaman Ubi Kayu (Manihot utilisima L) di Desa Bumela, Kecamatan Bilato, dengan fokus pada karakteristik dan kualitas lahan, kelas kesesuaian lahan, serta faktor pembatas dalam pengembangan tanaman Ubi Kayu (Manihot utilisima L). Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Juli hingga Desember 2019, berlokasi di Desa Bumela, Kecamatan Bilato, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Metode matching digunakan untuk memadukan kriteria kesesuaian lahan dengan data kualitas lahan, dengan mempertimbangkan persyaratan tumbuh tanaman untuk mengidentifikasi kelas kesesuaian lahan yang sesuai. Pengolahan data melibatkan analisis karakteristik dan kualitas lahan, evaluasi kesesuaian lahan, identifikasi keunggulan wilayah, dan analisis ekonomi tanaman ubi kayu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Desa Bumela, Kecamatan Bilato, kelas kesesuaian lahan yang potensial untuk tanaman ubi kayu (Manihot utilisima L) adalah kelas cukup sesuai (S2) dengan luas 80.568 ha atau 61,46%, sesuai marginal (S3) dengan luas 70,63 ha atau 0,53%, dan tidak sesuai (N) dengan luas 30.056 ha atau 22,92%. Kesesuaian lahan ini dipengaruhi oleh faktor pembatas seperti retensi hara, bahaya erosi, lereng, dan media perakaran. Dari hasil analisis keunggulan wilayah Kecamatan Bilato, terdapat dua komoditas unggulan, yaitu jagung dan ubi kayu. Selain itu, analisis ekonomi tanaman ubi kayu menunjukkan nilai R/C ratio yang menguntungkan, yaitu sebesar Rp. 1,23. Kata Kunci: Kesesuaian Lahan, Ubi Kayu

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik padat dan pupuk organik cair terhadap sifat kimia tanah dan pertumbuhan tanaman  pakcoy serta mengetahui dosis pupuk organik padat dan organik cair yang sesuai terhadap sifat kimia tanah dan pertumbuhan tanaman pakcoy. Penelitian ini menggunakan percobaan faktorial Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu POP kandang ayam P0: Tanpa pupuk kadang ayam (kontrol), P1: Perbandingan tanah + pupuk kandang ayam (1:1), P2: Perbandingan tanah +  pupuk kandang ayam (1:2) dan Faktor kedua dosis POC bonggol pisang, J0: Tanpa POC bonggol pisang (kontrol) dan J1: POC bonggol pisang 150 ml / 850 ml air. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pemberian POP kandang ayam dan POC bonggol pisang bepengaruh terhadap sifat kimia tanah pada pH, fospor dan kalium. Pemberian POP kandang ayam dan POC bonggol pisang menunjukan hasil berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi, jumlah daun serta berat basah tanaman pakcoy pada pengamatan 7, 14, dan 28 HSPT. Serta menunjukan interaksi antara kedua faktor yang ditunjukan oleh berat basah, sedangkan pengamatan lainnya tidak terjadi interaksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian pupuk dengan dosis terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman pakcoy ditunjukan POP kandang ayam 2 kg/1 kg tanah dan POC bonggol pisang 150 ml/850 ml air. Kata Kunci: Pupuk Organik Padat, Cair, Sifat Kimia Tanah, Tanaman Pakcoy

Abstract

Pests and diseases of maize plants have the potential to cause crop failure. Lack of information and knowledge about plant pests and diseases and limited field extension workers lead to errors in diagnosing maize pests and diseases. This results in inappropriate crop management that decreases production. Therefore, farmers need a tool to detect pest and disease attacks through physical symptoms seen on plants in the field. This research aims to produce an Agricultural Information System, namely an android-based expert system to detect pests and diseases in corn plants. The method used is software with prototyping to get an overview of the application to be built through a prototype application design and then evaluated by the user. The research stages include; gathering needs, building prototypes, evaluating protoype, coding the system, testing the system, evaluating the system, and using the system.  The result is the symptoms of pest and disease attacks on corn plants in the field, can be detected through the form of symptoms that are matched with images and characteristics of symptoms displayed on the Agricultural Information System software installed on android-based mobile phones or Tablets. Test results from 28 respondents showed that the success rate of detection of pest symptoms on corn plants was 75%, and for disease symptoms was 90%.

Abstract

Desa Bongo yang terletak di Kecamatan Batudaa Pantai Kabupaten Gorontalo Provinsi Gorontalo, sejak tahun 2004 ditetapkan  sebagai “ Desa Wisata Religius Bubohu”. Kunjungan wisatawan ke daerah ini hanya untuk wisata religi padahal Desa ini memiliki potensi wisata laut dan bukit yang indah sehingga bila potensi ini dikembangkan akan menjadi obyek wisata baru yang dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan adalah survey, observasi dan wawancara serta aksi langsung di lapangan. Hasil yang dicapai adalah: 1) Terbentuknya obyek wisata baru dengan nama “Pantai Dulanga” mengekspose pantai dan perbukitan yang ditata secara alami dan indah, telah menarik minat wisatawan lokal maupun asing untuk berkunjung sehingga  memberikan dampak positif terutama pada peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat. 2) Terwujudnya masyarakat sadar wisata, peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat maupun pemerintah terhadap pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan di Desa Bongo. Development of Culture and Environment Based Tourism Village in Bongo Village, Batudaa Pantai Sub-district, Gorontalo RegencyAbstract: Bongo Village of Batudaa District, Gorontalo Regency has been established as "Bubohu Religious Tourism Village" since 2004. The tourists' main purpose to visit this place is for religious tourism. Whereas, this village has the potential of beautiful marine and hill tourism that will increase community prosperity if those potential are becoming new tourism spots. The research methods employed survey, observation, and direct action in the field. The result achieved include: 1) the establishment of new tourism spot "Dulanga Beach" by exposing beach and hills that are naturally and beautifullylaid out. The village has attracted local and foreignvisitors, which has resulted in an increase in community income. 2) The manifestation of community tourism awareness, and the enhancement of community and government involvement toward sustainable tourism development in Bongo Village.
