Abstract

Background: Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is needed in several metabolic processes. The body needs vitamin B6 for the reactions of more than 100 enzymes, brain development during pregnancy, and immune function. Vitamin B6 deficiency can cause anemia, skin rashes, depression and a weak immune system. Objective: This study aims to analyze the frequency distribution of Vitamin B6 intake and see its relationship with other variables such as age, gender and BMI of the respondents studied. Method: The type of research used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique used in this research was accidental sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by distributing SQ-FFQ (Semi Quantitativ- Food Frequency Questionnaire) questionnaires to 221 samples. Results: This study shows that there are respondents who have an abnormal frequency distribution of Vitamin B6 (68.3%). There is no relationship between gender and vitamin B6 intake (P-Value = 0.051), there is no relationship between age and vitamin B6 intake (P-Value = 0.389), and there is no relationship between BMI and vitamin B6 intake (P-Value = 0.789). Conclusion: There is no relationship between a person's age, gender and body mass index and the intake of vitamin B6 consumed.

Abstract

Micronutrients, including vitamin D. So far, the evaluation of vitamin D has received little attention, if it is worsened by indoor activity patterns and unbalanced food consumption patterns, it is feared that it will trigger vitamin D deficiency and have an impact on children's growth and development and quality of life. . life. To determine the relationship between children's consumption patterns and vitamin D levels, body weight, height and quality of life in children aged 10-12 years. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with interview and observation methods as data collection techniques. Interviews were conducted with informants, using 40 subjects, namely children during the second growth spurt period. All subjects had their consumption patterns measured using the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), vitamin D levels in the blood, height, weight, leg length, and Quality of life was measured using the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL). The results showed that of the 40 subjects, only 3 (7.5%) children had sufficient vitamin D levels (≥30 µg/mL). There is a significant relationship between food consumption patterns and blood vitamin D levels. Children's food consumption patterns during the second growth spurt need to be considered because they are related to vitamin D levels, height, weight and quality of life.

Abstract

Background: Clean water quality is determined by chemical, physical and bacteriological factors. Water for sanitation hygiene purposes has environmental health quality standards, one of which is biological parameters. Objective: The aim of this research is to identify water quality by testing microbiological parameters, namely coliform and e-coli bacteria. Method: This research uses cluster sampling and systematic sampling methods. Sampling is carried out only once for each sample tested. This research was conducted in October – December 2023 at the UPT Health Laboratory. The sample in this research was total sampling, namely the entire population was used as a research sample of 48 samples. Results: There were 48 results of microbiological examination of water, it was found that the highest frequency of total coliform examinations was according to the maximum standard (0/100ml) as many as 31 with a percentage of 64.6% and the frequency of E.coli examination was according to the maximum standard (0/100ml) as many as 30 with a percentage of 62.5%. Conclusion: Based on the results of clean water examinations carried out in the health laboratory with a total of 48 water samples, it shows that 30 samples with a percentage of 62.5% met the bacteriological requirements.
