Abstract

The management of small and large-scale projects requires good planning, scheduling and coordination. Critical Path Method (CPM) is one of the method that has been developed to overcome the problem of managing a project. Time and cost greatly affect the success and failure of a project. A desired project is completed within a predetermined time, it can accelerate the duration of the activity with the consequence of an increase in cost. Acceleration of project duration at the lowest possible cost is called crashing program. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal time and cost in completing the project. The data used is the type of work and time of completion of project work and wage costs of workers wages in the project development of SMP Negeri 24 Jalan Pangeran Suryanata Samarinda. Based on the analysis using the time efficient CPM method for completion of the project is 185 days. Acceleration of project completion time by using crashing program, project can be done for 157 days with increase of worker wage equal to Rp 473,802,785.32.

Abstract

Every company competes with other companies in similar industries. One way to win the competition or at least stay in the competition is to give full attention to the quality of the products, so it can outperform the products produced by a competitors company. Quality control is done at the stage of production process, in order to get the standard or quality as expected. Multivariate p chart is one of the methods used for quality control which is the development of the control chart p. This research is conducted in the newspaper company Kaltim Post, with the characteristics quality of color blur, not symmetrical and dirty. The research is conducted in two phases; phase I is conducted for the period of July 2017 and phase II is conducted for the period of August 2017. The purpose of this research is to know the result of the controlling production of Kaltim Post newspaper by using multivariate p chart , knowing the types of defects that often occur and the cause of the defects types. The result of controlling production of Kaltim Post newspaper using multivariate diagram p is controlled in phase I with upper control limit of 0.002736, center line of 0.0024224 and lower control limit of 0.0021087. So the limits in phase I are appropriate for use in phase II. The most common types of defects are colors blur the caused by machine, method, material, human, and environmental factors.

Abstract

Statistical quality control is a problem solving technique used to monitor, control, analyze, manage, and improve products. There are two kinds of control charts, namely the attribute control chart and the variable control chart. The Decision On Belief (DOB) control chart is an attribute control chart based on Bayes's Theorem. In this study, to determine the comparison of control chart U and the DOB control chart the degree of control sensitivity in identifying out of control data on the production quality control data banner of Lineza digital printing in Samarinda. Based on the result of the research, it is found that quality control using U control chart and DOB control diagram has not been statistically controlled because there is still data out of control and in better sensitivity level in detecting out of control data is a DOB control chart because this diagram detects 65% while the U control chart is only 15%.

Abstract

ARIMA method is used to predict future patterns of data that is expected to approach the actual data. In the case of inventory control, the company must have a good planning system for forecasting results to get maximum benefit. Period Order Quantity Method is used to solve inventory problem and minimize the total inventory cost. The research objective are to predict how many iron plates which CV. Isakutama needs from January 2017 to Desember 2017 with ARIMA method and to minimize the predicted total inventory cost using Period Order Quantity method. Based on the research, the forecasting results of the iron plates for 12 months are 24, 24, 25, 24, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25 and 25 units, so that the total inventory cost is Rp.1,177,264,000 by providing them once every 52 days.

Abstract

Quality control is the use of techniques and activities to maintain and improve the quality of products or services. One of the quality control methods is epanevhnikov kernel control chart. The epanevhnikov kernel control chart is a control chart used to evaluate nonparametric product quality characteristic data because it does not require certain assumptions. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the 1 kg packaged Amplang product in UD. H. Icam Samarinda is within the control limit and what factors can cause the weight of the product becomes uncontrollable. The result shows that there is no sample point outside the control limits in the control chart with kernel density function estimation. So it can be concluded that the weight of the product is within a controlled condition. The factors that can cause the products uncontrolable are environmental factors, human factors, machine factors and material factors.

Abstract

Coal is a sedimentary rock containing the main elements Carbon (C), Hydrogen (H), and Oxygen (O). Examination of coal samples in the laboratory according to company operational standard based on Air Dried Basis (ADB) are the amount of water, ash content, flying substance, solid carbon, sulfur, and Gross Calorific Value. At PT. Pancaran Surya Abadi Anggana Subdistrict Kutai Kartanegara, coal is classified based on its calorie type namely Antrachite, Bituminous, and Sub-Bituminous. In this research Modified K-Nearest Neighbor (MKNN) Algorithm is used to predict the classification. The k-Fold Cross Validation technique is used to obtain the optimal K value on MKNN Algorithm for accuracy. A measurement based on this research, the K-Optimal value used in MKNN Algorithm for coal classification in PT.Pancaran Surya Abadi is 3-NN. The value of K = 3 produces the prediction accuracy of Coal Classification based on the type of calories in PT.Pancaran Surya Abadi on 100% testing data

Abstract

Lecturer is an important factor in the process of teaching and learning process in universities. This study was conducted with the aim to know the characteristics of students of Statistics Program Department of Mathematics at FMIPA Mulawarman University on the characteristics of the expected lecturers. One method that can be used to know the options is the conjoint-based optional method. Choice Based Conjoint (CBC) is a conjoint analysis that measures preferences based on conceptual choices and is used to determine the concept of attributes of lecturer characteristics expected by students. Attributes used in this study are the background of lecturers, lecturer characters, learning methods and interaction in the class. The data analysis technique used in the conjoint-based optional method is the conditional logit model. The result of CBC analysis shows that the attribute that is considered most important by the respondents based on attribute importance value is classroom interaction with percentage of 48,41% and seen from the value of the utility of interaction in the class with a positive value is the interaction in the active class with a value of 1.331. The characteristics of lecturers that are expected to be possessed by lecturers are casual lecturer character, last doctoral education, creative teaching methods and active classroom interaction.

Abstract

Short run control chart is designed for production small scale and a limited amount data for monitoring different characteristic on same diagram control. The purpose of research is to know the implementation of short run control chart for monitoring mean and variability process based on characteristic data 1 inch Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) in PT. Maspion. The objective of characteristics 1 inch pipe in this research are socket external diameter, socket internal diameter, barrel external diameter and barrel internal diameter. The Results showed that controlling process of by applying influence function, effective is to be applied to detect small movement in observation 11, 14, 14 and 9 for every control chart characteristic limited control 3σ.

Abstract

A project requires scheduling so that project completion time can be completed at the targeted time. Critical Path Method (CPM) is one of the scheduling methods that is able to provide solutions to scheduling problems. This method has several project acceleration methods to get the fastest turnaround time with a minimal increase in costs. The acceleration method is the program crashes by not using free float time. Case studies of project scheduling at the bus terminal administration office building in city X have been carried out. Analysis is carried out to obtain a critical path at normal times. At normal times, the implementation time is 385 days with a total cost of Rp. 488,488,000.00. After that the project was accelerated by using a crash program by not using the free float time and the implementation time being 289 days with a direct total project cost of Rp. 520,239,992.00. Based on the time of the acceleration of the crash by not using the free float time, the reduction time was 96 days with the addition of a total direct cost of Rp. 14.252.008.00

Abstract

State of Indonesia is a developing country which has a problem, namely poverty. Poverty is a condition that is often associated with the needs, difficulties and shortcomings in the various circumstances of life. Measuring poverty in a region that can be done by looking at two indicators, namely the percentage of the poor population and the poverty depth index. This study uses 5 factors thought to affect the percentage of poor people and the depth of poverty in East Kalimantan which includes the average of the old school, the open unemployment rate, the labor force participation rate, population growth rate and the expectancy of the old school. The Data used in this study is the data year 2015, which is obtained from the Central bureau of Statistics of East Kalimantan Province. The method used is a nonparametric regression spline-response and determine the value of the optimal knots point using the Generalized Cross Validation (GCV). The best Model resulting from this research is the model with the point of optimal knot with the value of GCV of 31.14057 and R-squared of 86.47.
