Abstract

Abstrak Indonesia was still experiencing independence at that time and was still easily influenced by the culture of foreigners, so the situation in each region in Indonesia was often unstable. This transition process can be associated with various factors, such as political changes that have an impact on organizational orientation, shifts in ideology and mission, and increasing demands for participation in social development. This has an impact on the Pancasila ideology in Indonesia, which continues to be questioned and tested in difficult times. The aim of this research is to find out how the Pancasila Youth transition occurred from a political movement to a social movement in Jakarta in 1990-2015. There are several sources used in this research, ranging from primary to secondary sources. This research also uses historical research methods using systematic methods, procedures, or techniques in accordance with the principles and rules of historical science. Historical research methods or historical methods are used in this thesis to analyze past events to see the results of general principles about patterns, processes and 15 social changes. The sources selected by the researchers consisted of six people ranging from members of Pemuda Pancasila to residents of Pondok Labus sub-district and Cawang sub-district. Thus, this research highlights the transformation of Pemuda Pancasila from a political movement to a social movement. These findings provide in-depth insight into the changing goals and participation of Pancasila Youth in the context of changes towards a social movement. Even though there are limitations, it is hoped that this research will make a positive contribution to understanding the adaptation of social movements in facing the socio-political dynamics of the Pancasila Youth in Jakarta.

Abstract

This research aims to examine nationalism within PKVI (Perkoemnpoelan Kaoem Verpleger, Verpleegsters dan Vroedvrouwen Indonesia) in their efforts to advocate for the rights of indigenous nurses, ranging from wages to justice as healthcare professionals. PKVI was a transformation of PKVB (Perkoempoelan Kaoem Verpleger, Verpleegsters dan Vroedvrouwen Boemipoetra) in 1933. From that year until 1936, PKVI worked in the social field to demand the rights of nurses, enhance professional awareness among nurses, and resist the healthcare policies of the Dutch East Indies government. Therefore, this research focuses on the struggle of PKVI during the period from 1931 to 1936. This study utilizes historical methodology and a sociological approach that focuses on the social actions of an organization or collective action. Based on the data collected, this research shows the existence of nationalist struggle within the PKVI organization, carried out in a mass and structured manner through collective actions that encompass social, political, and economic aspects. The aim of these actions was solely to challenge the unfair treatment of indigenous nurses by the Dutch East Indies government. PKVI served as a platform for indigenous nurses to fight for their rights, promote national identity, and contribute to the independence movement.

Abstract

This study deals with the strategy of Laskar Hizbullah Bekasi during the physical revolution from 1945 to 1949. Laskar Hizbullah Bekasi is a branch of the Laskar Hizbullah led by K.H. Zainul Arifin. The formation of Laskar Hizbullah was initiated by the ulama who were integrated into Masyumi. This research aims to determine the strategies and tactics used by the Laskar Hizbullah Bekasi during the physical revolution era. To sharpen the analysis, a political-military approach is used with Carl Von Clausewitz's military strategy theory. The struggle of the Laskar Hizbullah Bekasi from 1945 to 1949 can be classified into two periods. The initial period began from 1945 to 1947, where the strategy used during this period was offensive (attacking). Frictions or divisions faced by the Laskar Hizbullah Bekasi in the initial period were resolved through political policies by joining the TNI. The second period started from 1947 to 1949, some former members of Hizbullah Bekasi formed a new guerrilla force affiliated with Sabilillah and established the Markas Pusat Hizbullah Sabilillah (MPHS). During this period, MPHS employed two simultaneous strategies: offensive (attacking) and defensive (defending).

Abstract

This experience examines the reality of husbandry on the island of Java. This study seeks to find out the dark history and oppression carried out by Europeans on native women. The sources used in this research are photographs in KITLV, reports on the De Millionen Uit Deli plantation, Staatsblad, articles in the newspaper Algeemen Handelsblad, and a report recorded in the book entitled Cultuur-Adressbook Voor NederlandscheIndie. This research uses historical methods with a mimetic critical approach and feminist theory. This approach is closely related to literature because mimetic criticism is criticism that views literary works as imitation aspects of everyday things. Meanwhile, feminist theory is closely related to the existence of women who demand the same rights as men. Concubinage caused by economic factors began to become rampant and encouraged native women to live with European men at home without marriage. Not only that, concubinage can also be caused by her family selling their daughters to European men to be concubines. The Dutch East Indies government at that time, namely Jan Pieterszoon Coen, had made various efforts to stop the practice of concubinage, but all their efforts ended in vain. The practice of concubinage involving Indigenous women and European men is certainly a dark history in Indonesia. This concubinage ended when women began to dare to speak out, and also with modernization. The nyai also played a role in modernization and producing a new culture called Indic culture. Indic culture involves several things such as eating style, clothing style, and also language

Abstract

This research discusses the dynamics of the Indonesian Muslim Community (KMI) in South Korea, starting from its inception in 2007 to its struggle during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. KMI is the largest Muslim citizen organization in South Korea which functions to shelter all Muslim citizens and accommodate several mosques and prayer rooms and their organizations. The purpose of this study is to see the dynamics of the development of the Indonesian Muslim Community (KMI), which was founded in 2007 by Indonesian Muslim citizens. To sharpen the analysis, this study uses sociological approaches and social capital theory by Robert Putnam. KMI was established on February 17, 2007 on the proposal of the increasing number of Indonesian migrant workers in South Korea, to meet their spiritual needs. KMI currently houses around 56 mosques and prayer rooms and acts as a bridge connecting KMF (Korea Muslim Federation) and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, with Muslim citizens in South Korea. Organizationally, KMI still plays the role today and continues to strengthen the faith and brotherhood of Indonesian Muslims who live as a minority in South Korea
