The knowledge that the community has is not only used for themselves, but is disseminated to relatives and neighbors to use village medicine that must still exist in this modern era. Traditional plants are still known even though they have been lost due to development in land settlements. The development of small lanes on land has caused the loss of nutritious plants. Pharmacies that have sprung up in land settlements have made the Kuin Village community group that purely uses village medicine begin to decrease, most of the community has moved to modern drugs that are more practical. Differences in the environment and daily habits of the Kuin Village community distinguish people who still use village medicine from those who use modern medicine.

Rice farming in the Sepanjang village's main income, but not all farmers have direct access to marketers such as factories, especially peasant who have limited land who ultimately choose to sell crops to middlemen using a patron-client system. The aim of this research is to find out, describe and analyze the paradoxical relationship between peasant and middlemen. The research was carried out in villages along Glenmore District, Banyuwangi Regency. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The research was carried out in April - June 2023. In the process of selling to middlemen, peasant get positive benefits such as getting loans, transportation accommodation and guaranteed marketing networks. However, in their relationship with middlemen, peasant also experience several negative things, such as fraud committed by middlemen, such as rounding off weigh figures, rounding off purchase prices and manipulation during the gabug or tare testing process. In this position, the peasant position becomes a paradox, namely that it lies in the condition where the peasant gets positive and negative sides in the relationship with middlemen simultaneously. In the theoretical realm, this research can be a reference point in developing research on the existence and relationships of patron-clients. In the practical realm, this research can be a point of consideration or considerations for determining regional and government policies, especially in the agricultural sector.

China is a country with a strong patriarchal culture and weakens the position of women, so that when women rebel and dare to fight against standards in society, they will be faced with stereotypes and discrimination. This research aims to know the forms of stereotypes experienced by Chinese women in the current era due to the mismatch between their attitudes or life choices and the norms that apply in society. This research examines the stereotypes experienced by single women in China to get the label Shèng Nǚ. The data source for this research is the film “The Last Woman Standing”, as well as other research supporting data sources. The research was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods. The theory used to analyze the research results is existential feminism from Beauvoir (1956). This research found stereotypical forms of single women in China shown in the film "The Last Woman Standing", namely: 1) rejecting marriage; 2) does not need men; and, 3) voters. In fact, women do not reject marriage, it's just that women wait for the right time and the right person for their future. Furthermore, single women are afraid that men are not equal to them, which results in differences in views on life principles and inequality that worsens their situation in the future. Women in this era have the right to make their life choices and not depend on other people, especially men. The results of this research are a reference for the struggle for the existence of single women who are stereotyped and discriminated against by patriarchal communities that think women should be below men.

Natural resource monopoly packaged in the form of delegation of management rights from the state to companies has resulted in complex problems, which have led to the erosion of people's livelihoods. This study aims to determine the form of monopoly on natural resources carried out by companies in the perspective of the greedy theory and how it impacts the people's livelihood from the perspective of ecological transformation. This study uses qualitative research with a case study research type. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the form of natural resource monopoly in Sebamban Baru Village started with the granting of forest management rights to PT. Kirana Equator. Furthermore PT. Kirana Khatulistiwa transferred management rights to PT. HRB and PT. BIB. Then PT. HRB planted acacia, while PT. BIB uses it for mining activities. In this case, the community has no power in determining the direction of natural resource management in Sebamban Baru Village. Management of natural resources carried out by PT. BIB has led to the erosion of community livelihood sustainability, one of which is due to river pollution from insufficient company waste storage so that it spills into the river. This condition led to the difficulty of clean water being faced by the community and the loss of the community's economic resources from the river. Meanwhile, natural resources management carried out by PT. HRB resulted in the loss of the community's source of life from the land claimed by PT. HRB. Where land managed by the community is declared included in the HTI concession. As a result, people have lost access to land for farming and other economic resources. The monopoly on natural resources leaves an impact on the declining level of the people's economy due to the loss of economic resources that play an important role.

Or in other words, some transvestites play different roles between their backstage and frontstage due to their identity as transvestites. The front stage of waria singers almost all plays the front stage well, which is done like dressing men in front of the family and praying in the men's row. The stage behind the transvestite singer truly expresses herself as a woman with all the personality and changes in appearance, including her distinctive style of dress and way of speaking. So then waria expressed this sexual orientation selection through the way they dressed, where waria subjects in this study stated that their sexual orientation was directed towards men.

Besides that, there is a manifest function, namely conscious and planned changes such as increasing community solidarity with the establishment of Pemuda Membangun Desa (PMD), environmental care actions, non-productive land use, and community openness to new things. As well as the existence of a latent function of the Pemuda Membangun Desa (PMD) such as the concern for the community outside the Sungai Dua Laut Village area for the condition of the people of Sungai Dua Laut Village and the process of community acceptance of foreigners. Then there is a manifest concept of the rise of the Pemuda Sahabat Laut (PSL) organization which then has monitoring of the coastal and marine environment and the existence of tour guides carried out by members of Pemuda Sahabat Laut (PSL).

The Dayak tribe has a unique cultural heritage in the form of buildings on the Barito River namely lanting or floating houses. This study aims to examine the representation of the mutual relationship between humans and nature in the vernacular architecture of the lanting house. This study used a qualitative approach, with a field research types and descriptive research-based. This research was carried out from June to July 2022 in Muara Bakanon Village, Permata Intan District, Murung Raya Regency. Data collection techniques using participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that although the size of the lanting houses in Muara Bakanon Village are different, in terms of the shape of the lanting houses they have not changed much from the past until now. Communities living on the banks of the Barito River build lanting houses as a form of utilizing the river area. In the study of cultural ecology, nature has an influence on culture and human behavior, such as the existence of a lanting house which is a form of adaptation for people living on the banks of rivers which often experience (annual) flooding. Lanting through vernacular architecture is one way to reduce the impact caused by flooding. The community will have no trouble when a flood occurs because the lanting is designed not to be drowned by flood waters. So it can be said that nature has a great influence on people's lives. However, the community in practice has not been able to provide positive benefits to nature, because basically people just use nature for the benefit of survival.

Data analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the community empowerment program by CSR PT. Balangan Coal does not suitable with the characteristics and needs of the community. The programs implemented ignore efforts to protect the interests of the community to develop or become empowered. The positive impact of CSR Program by PT. Balangan Coal is not really felt by the community, while the negative impact of the company's activities continues to be felt by the community, such as dust, blasting vibrations, noise, and to damage community agricultural plants. Before the existence of coal mining companies, the livelihood of the Tawahan Village community depended on nature. The village government and the community hope that in the future there will be deliberations in determining the programme to suit the needs and characteristics of the community, because so far the village government and the community have not been included in determining the CSR programme to be implemented. This research provides a critical perspective on the implementation of CSR programmes that are more beneficial to the community.
