Abstract

The agricultural sector faces significant challenges in managing abundant post-harvest residues that have not been optimally utilized. This study aims to design and develop a hammer mill-type agricultural waste shredder with a target capacity of 100 kg/hr to support farmer mobility in local agroclimatic regions. The methodology encompasses 3D model design, technical calculation analysis, and independent manufacturing using mild steel materials. Technical analysis results indicate a design power of 6.72 kW with a torque of 35,653.3 N-mm, powered by a 7.5 HP gasoline engine at 1,800 RPM. Functional testing on rice straw and corn stalks demonstrated operational stability with an actual production capacity reaching ±99.7 kg/hr. A slight mass reduction of approximately 3.5% in the final output was attributed to moisture evaporation caused by mechanical heat during the shredding process. This innovation provides a practical solution for farmer groups in accelerating organic decomposition and improving the efficiency of livestock feed provision.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed social communication patterns, especially among Generation Z, who have grown up as digital natives. One of the most dominant means of communication is WhatsApp Group, which enables fast, massive, and continuous interaction. This study aims to determine the effect of the intensity of WhatsApp Group usage on the social closeness of Generation Z in Surakarta City. The study uses a quantitative approach with a positivistic paradigm. Data were collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire distributed online to 100 Generation Z respondents who actively use WhatsApp Groups, using purposive sampling techniques. The independent variable in this study is the intensity of WhatsApp Group usage, measured through indicators of attention, duration, frequency, and immersion, while the dependent variable is social closeness, measured using the stages of social penetration theory. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, linearity tests, Pearson's correlation, and simple linear regression. The research results are expected to show a positive and significant influence between the intensity of WhatsApp Group usage and the social closeness of Generation Z. This study provides theoretical contributions to the study of digital communication as well as practical benefits for understanding the social interaction patterns of the younger generation in the digital era.

Abstract

"Sayu Rasa" Crackers MSME faces productivity constraints due to suboptimal production facility layout, resulting in long material handling distances and inefficient production time. This study aims to optimize the production layout to minimize material handling distance and improve production process efficiency. The method used is Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) through stages of material flow analysis, from-to chart creation, activity relationship diagram design, layout alternative development, and evaluation using weighted factor analysis. Implementation results show a 39.1% reduction in material handling distance (from 128 meters to 78 meters per production cycle) and a 20% productivity increase (from 50 kg/day to 60 kg/day). Production time decreased by 15.5% from 420 minutes to 355 minutes for the same production capacity. The research conclusion proves that the application of industrial engineering principles through SLP method effectively improves MSME operational performance with minimal investment.

Abstract

Education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level currently faces significant challenges in balancing cognitive mastery with holistic character building amidst moral crises and intolerance. This study aims to elaborate on the integration of the 2025 Love-Based Curriculum (KBC) and Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences in Natural Science (IPA) learning at MI. The method employed is library research, using content analysis and descriptive-synthesis techniques on KBC policy documents and literature related to multiple intelligences. The results indicate that the synergy between KBC and Multiple Intelligences creates a holistic and inclusive science learning ecosystem. The "Panca Cinta" values are transformed through eight unique intelligence pathways, where scientific phenomena are understood as "kauniyah" verses that foster religiosity, empathy, and ecological responsibility. The novelty of this research lies in the interdisciplinary synthesis that maps emotional-spiritual intelligence onto the cognitive diversity of MI students. The study concludes that this integration not only improves scientific literacy but also serves as a catalyst for a more humanistic education through learning personalization based on AI technology and local wisdom.

Abstract

Bus accidents continue to contribute significantly to global transportation fatality statistics, particularly in developing countries where human factors and infrastructure conditions play a major role. A comprehensive synthesis of bus superstructure crashworthiness technologies is presented by tracing their evolution from basic regulatory compliance toward the challenges of future technological adaptation. While the UN ECE R66 standard has established a well-defined framework for rollover protection, a review of the literature reveals a substantial gap in frontal impact standards, leading to the adoption of truck regulations (UN ECE R29) that are often incompatible with the flat-front geometry of buses. The discussion focuses on recent findings related to validated virtual testing methodologies, innovative structural reinforcement strategies such as seat-to-pillar integration, and the critical role of occupant restraint systems in mitigating secondary injuries. Furthermore, the transition toward electric buses is identified as introducing new challenges associated with high-voltage battery protection and the brittle failure characteristics of lightweight composite materials. It is concluded that future safety paradigms must evolve beyond merely preserving occupant survival space toward a holistic approach that integrates structural optimization, occupant biomechanics, and energy storage system protection.
