Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of Community Information Groups (KIM) in forming agricultural business networks in order to improve the community's economy through empowering local potentials in Karangsono Village, Kanigoro District, Blitar Regency. The approach used is to use the theory of diffusion of innovation which has 4 elements of the innovation diffusion process, namely innovation, communication channels, time and social system. However, researchers are more focused on the process of diffusion of innovations in forming a network using communication channels. This study will explain the innovations of KIM members which will be disseminated to the public using qualitative descriptive methods. This research data collection through interviews and field observations. The results of this study are the diffusion of innovation in forming business networks through communication channels that have been created by KIM members. So that the innovation process that has been disseminated can be accepted by the community and can change the community to be more prosperous.

Abstract

The Madurese are described as very religious, many of their customs and cultural attributes represent Islam. Islam has influenced various aspects of Madurese culture. One of them is Madura batik which is quite famous. As a cultural heritage, Madura batik has historical and philosophical values.Pamekasan as a batik-producing area in Madura until now maintains its pattern of motifs from generation to generation. Although Batik Pamekasan has a characteristic use of plant and animal symbols. However, in detail, Islamic elements are seen more clearly in the pattern of Batik Pamekasan motifs than other coastal batik. So, it is interesting to study more deeply to know the influence of Islam in the pattern of Batik Pamekasan motifs. Although there have been many studies on batik, there is still little discussion of the value and meaning in its motifs. Especially currently there is still a lack of studies on the pattern of Batik Pamekasan motifs from the perspective of visual communication.This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques through observation, literature study, and the results of interviews with sources. Charles Sanders Peirce's visual semiotic analysis is used to examine the object of research, namely the pattern of batik motifs.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has colored the phenomenon of shifting patterns of religious communication among Muslim communities in cyberspace which is considered more efficient, interactive and varied. Some religious activities that are commonly found include online tahlilan, scientific studies, Islamic motivational seminars, khataman and the Qur'an via WhatsApp Group. Religious activities are usually carried out face-to-face and are accommodated in a taklim assembly or holy place, but since the emergence of the pandemic, many religious rituals are spent through virtual space. Religious activities carried out by the Muslim community through cyberspace have actually widened the distance between entities. Because there is no face-to-face meeting (physical), one's expressions, non-verbal messages and emotions are not represented, because they only rely on a touch of the screen (face to screen). While this research method is descriptive qualitative with virtual ethnographic research type. The results of the research findings are that the phenomenon of religious activity in virtual space can slowly reduce the value of sacredness, solemnity, and even blessing in carrying out religious rituals. In addition, the shift in religious communication is not only limited as a communication tool, but has expanded as a construction of Muslim community identity and an arena for meeting religious symbols. Entities can simultaneously produce messages to audiences, and at the same time, entities can produce content that is sometimes unclear to whom. Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research, researchers are trying to collect and collect data on proselytizing activities that occur in Batu Gadang Village. The data collection technique used by the researchers in this study is an observation technique, namely visiting the location directly and seeing how the proselytizing process was carried out in Batu Gadang Village. Researchers also use several book sources related to problems in the field. The results of this study reveal that: 1) Da'wah in Batu Gadang is still running as usual, but there is no rapid development so that the da'wah is also in demand by young people, not only the elderly. 2) People in Batu Gadang prefer da'i who come from outside the Batu Gadang wilayang, because the proselytizing they convey is not monotonous and not bored. Da'wah that is often used is proselytizing through face-to-face or lectures with material on akidah, akhlak, fiqh and mua'amalah. 3) There are several institutions or organizations that can help the development of proselytizing in Batu Gadang, namely TPQ, MDTA and Majlis Ta'lim.

Abstract

Produk kajian menjadi aspek fundamental dalam kesuksesan proses dakwah. Kualitas produk kajian perlu dikelola dengan strategi pengembangan karena menentukan sejauh mana umat menerima hingga mau menerapkan nilai-nilai Islam secara konsisten. Dalam dakwah terdapat variasi produk kajian Islam dengan berbagai media untuk menarik minat jamaah mendalami Islam. Salah satunya adalah kajian tafsir kontemporer oleh Pesantren Udara 14.2690 MHz dengan media radio amatir. Kajian ini mengalami proses evolusi produk dalam kurun waktu yang lama dan memiliki jamaah loyal yang heterogen dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia dengan latar pendidikan, ekonomi, sosial, kelompok Islam yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan strategi pengembangan produk kajian tafsir kontemporer oleh Pesantren Udara 14.2690 MHz, menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penggalian data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi sebagai penunjang. Proses analisis dilakukan berdasarkan teori pengembangan produk sequential model Fandy Tjiptono. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengembangan produk kajian tafsir kontemporer dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap memiliki kesesuaian dengan teori pengembangan produk sequential model Fandy Tjiptono meskipun di tahap tertentu terdapat keunikan yang dilakukan pengasuh Pesantren Udara 14.2690 MHz pada tahap pemunculan ide, penyaringan ide, pengujian produk dan komersialisasi. Sejak tahap awal hingga akhir, pengasuh banyak melibatkan jamaah yang mengikuti kajian, khususnya jamaah yang sudah loyal atau aktif mengikuti kajian.

Abstract

Da'wah is an inseparable part of the history of Islamic development. By explaining the problems of da'wah and the importance of solving problems, it will be an effort to convey advice which in fact is the obligation of every Muslim to Allah, His Book, His Apostle, leaders and Muslims in general. A da'I is needed to help and provide services to the community according to the limits of his ability. Through the Qur'an and Sunnah we can determine the various demands that must be met by a da'i to attract the object of da'wah or mad'u. The researcher uses a text study approach to examine the problems and movements of modern Islam in an Arabic book, namely the book Musykilat Ad-Da'wah Wa Ad-Da'iyah by Fathi Yakan.

Abstract

The revocation of alcohol investment in Attachment III to Presidential Decree Number 10 of 2021 is a public policy phenomenon that had become a trending topic and was widely reported by online media in Indonesia in 2021. The online media that highlighted the revocation of alcohol investment were Kompas.com and Liputan6.com. In this case, the same event can be treated and framed differently by an online media. Therefore, this study aims to describe Kompas.com and Liputan6.com in constructing the reality of the news using syntactic, script, thematic and rhetorical framing and to compare the framing of the two media in reporting on the revocation of alcohol investment. This study uses a qualitative approach with framing analysis method. The framing analysis used is the Zhongdang Pan and Kosicki models. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the construction of news reality built by Kompas.com emphasizes the aspects of choosing news sources, quotes from news sources and the 5W+1H pattern. The construction of news reality built by Liputan6.com emphasizes aspects of headlines, leads and quotes from news sources. The framing comparison between Kompas.com and Liputan6.com can be seen from the analysis of the overall news. Kompas.com is framing this revocation case from a legal perspective, the reporting side is more critical and tends to think that this revocation is not according to procedure. While Liputan6.com is framing this case from various perspectives, it seems that it places more emphasis on responses and suggestions regarding this revocation and tends to judge that this revocation is appropriate and in accordance with the values ​​of Pancasila.

Abstract

Censorship on television becomes a polemic in society, especially when censorship is carried out on certain images which even become controversial because they are considered unrealistic. Various parties regretted it, but not a few criticized and blamed the government in this case KPI and LSF for their ignorance of the censorship system on television. Although the issue of censorship is not the realm of the KPI in a pragmatic manner, it still has a big role to play in this situation because it governs the policy. How to make and apply laws and regulations when applied by television practitioners so that it gives rise to various interpretations including the irrelevant censorship. Analytical descriptive research method is used in reviewing this research by making an actual and factual path analysis regarding the facts, policies and implications of television broadcasting industry policies. The results of this study indicate that there is a need for intense supervision from KPI and LSF in their capacity to censor television station programs and anticipate the various censorship limits of television companies as a result of differences in human resources and technology capabilities and the application of censorship.

Abstract

The commodification of children's phenomena on social media raises various problems. This research aims to reveal the children's commodification on Baim Paula's YouTube channel. Through this research, the authors hope to provide advantages to raise awareness of YouTubers or influencers to be more aware of creating content that involves children. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a discourse analysis approach of Norman Fairclough. The object of the research is conducted by analyzing the children's commodification of Lala. The data collection technique used is documentation of two videos on Baim Paula's channel related to the children's commodification. The analysis of Baim Paula's contents shows that commodification tends to be the commodification of content. It manifested in the child's commodification of Lala. Even though positively, Lala gets a place to develop her talent. The massive development of social media makes commodification carried out by any media user easily. It could be that the perpetrators are unaware that they have carried out a form of child's commodification into a commercially valuable. Hence, it benefits media users, in this case, Baim Paula.

Abstract

Recently, there is the change occurring in coffee consuming behavior during the Covid-19 pandemic. Before the pandemic, people in Kediri city have a habit, namely ‘Cangkrukan’, which are people gather together at coffee shop. This research will discuss the changes of behavior to the people in coffee culture during pandemic for two years. The research will result coffee consuming behavior in the Kediri society. The objective of research was to find out the change of coffee consuming behavior and consuming society culture in Kediri coffee shops in facing pandemic. The theory employed in this study was Fredrick Herzberg motivation’s theory and Elton Mayo behavioral management theory. This study employed a phenomenological approach, aiming to explore the change of behavior on the coffee culture during pandemic in Kediri city. The data collection was conducted using direct observation and in-depth interview. The result of research showed that people behavior in Kediri society had changed throughout the pandemic.
