Abstract

This paper seeks to determine the evolution of waqf research during the Ottoman period. Utilizing secondary data in the form of articles published and indexed by Scopus between 1979 and 2022, processed with Microsoft Excel 16 and analyzed with Nvivo 12 Plus software to automatically perform coding and classification in order to organize the file structure, the method employed is qualitative. The outcomes of this study reveal an upward trend in Islamic economic studies related to halal requirements. The majority of the 96 published papers said that the most prevalent halal food standard and the evolution of halal standards cannot be separated from halal certification. Waqf, Ottoman, Waqfs, Study, Islamic, Foundations, Critical, Century, Edition, and Institutions are the words that appear most frequently in publications with conventional halal themes. In addition to these words, the word woman also appears, indicating that these women played a part in the creation of waqf during the Ottoman period. This research is anticipated to contribute to the expansion of academic studies on ottoman waqf, which are currently limited. Additional study pertaining to ottoman waqf might refer to the discoveries of frequently occurring words since they have the possibility to be expanded.

Abstract

One of the important problems facing the world economy until now is the problem of inflation. In simple terms, inflation means an increase in the price of goods from its usual state. In fact, long before the economic thinking of experts such as Friedman, Fisher, Keynes, and other world economists regarding inflation and other monetary matters, the Islamic world had earlier figures who were concerned in this field. Taqiyuddin Abul Abbas Al-Husaini from Maqarizah, Cairo. Or better known as Al-Maqrizi. Maqrizi said in several parts of his book that inflation is generally divided into two, namely Natural Inflation and Human Error Inflation. This paper will try to compare some of his thoughts –particularly the problem of inflation- with conventional positivistic opinions and concepts in similar fields.

Abstract

This study tries to examine the relationship between several economic and political variables proposed by Ibn Khaldun. This theory is called 'Ashabiyah'. There are several important findings. When a country has a good level of economic growth, the physical development of a country is relatively good and positive. Vice versa. Second, variable N (society) has a significant effect on the level of development of a country. This conclusion is in line with Ibn Khaldun's thesis which says that the quantity and quality of human resources, especially those who work productively, will be able to improve the economy and development of a country. Another conclusion is that a country that is relatively stable economically, the government that is in office at that time will tend to have the strength to survive in its leadership dynasty. In addition, with good economic conditions and the wealth of a country, the position and conditions of the people will improve.

Abstract

The world's population projection will increase to 9.8 billion in 2050. The increase in population growth has made experts begin to focus and associated his research with Malthusianism. This study aims to identify and develop research related to the development of Malthusianism through indexed Dimensions with an approach using the NVivo 12 Plus software. The data were analyzed from 123 publications published in the last 123 years (1899-2022). This study also found that behavioral changes and technological innovations are now intricately connected with us in a global society so that problems such as food scarcity which according to Malthus was caused by an explosion that was not illuminated by the amount of food in the world, therefore, Allah SWT bestowed nature and its contents. to meet human needs. Every human being has a share or benefit of each, so there is no shortage in terms of food related to the increase in population that occurs. Even so, Malthus' theory reminds us that population growth must still pay attention to environmental sustainability, meaning that it must be adjusted to carrying capacity.
