Abstract

In an era of complex disruption, information technology plays a critical role in improving supply chain performance through operational transparency, efficiency, and collaboration between partners. This study aims to explore the impact of IT on supply chain performance, focusing on technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), and cloud-based platforms. A systematic literature review method was used to analyze data from relevant journals, with inclusion criteria including articles discussing the impact of IT on key performance indicators, such as supply chain flexibility, innovation, and resilience. The results showed that IT implementation provides significant benefits, including reducing inventory management errors by up to 30%, improving response to disruptions, and distribution efficiency. IT also supports collaboration through real-time information sharing, which drives product and process innovation. However, challenges such as high investment requirements, technology skills gaps, and data security risks remain major barriers to its implementation. A phased adoption strategy and intensive training for human resources are recommended to overcome these barriers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) in management information systems in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises through a literature review approach. The research method used is a systematic search by reviewing relevant journals published between 2020 and 2024, then five articles were selected to be reviewed. The articles used discuss various aspects of IoT implementation in MSMEs in various ways. The results of the study show that the implementation of IoT provides significant benefits for MSMEs, such as operational cost savings, optimization of resource use, and increased digital connectivity that helps MSMEs reach a wider and more competitive market. However, there are several major obstacles in the implementation of IoT, including high initial costs, limited technological infrastructure, low digital literacy, and issues of risk, security and data confidentiality that need to be addressed properly. This study recommends the need for support from the government, technology providers, and training institutions in the form of subsidies, capacity building programs, and digital infrastructure development. The implications of this study provide important insights for policy makers, academics, and business actors to design sustainable and relevant digital transformation strategies for MSMEs in the global era.

Abstract

This study evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of establishing a 2 GWp solar-grade silicon wafer manufacturing facility in Batam Industrial Area, Indonesia. The proposed plant utilises Chinese-manufactured equipment for key processes, including 40 CZ Puller units, 20 Multi-Wire Saw units, and 15 CMP systems, with polysilicon as the primary raw material. A comprehensive analysis incorporating technical, financial, operational, and market aspects demonstrates project viability with an IRR of 18-20% and a payback period of 5-6 years. The total investment of USD 250 million encompasses equipment, infrastructure, and working capital. Results indicate favourable technical feasibility with established Chinese equipment manufacturers meeting international quality standards. Financial analysis shows strong potential returns, supported by growing regional solar panel demand and Batam's strategic advantages. Key risks identified include polysilicon price volatility, technological obsolescence, and market competition, with structured mitigation strategies proposed.

Abstract

The design of a proposed Information Technology (IT) outsourcing risk management policy is essential in facing the complexity and uncertainty associated with using third-party services. This policy aims to protect organisational assets, ensure operational continuity, and minimise the impact of risks that may arise from outsourcing relationships. In this study, we develop a risk management framework that integrates IT outsourcing risk management principles with the COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies) standard. This framework includes risk identification, analysis, mitigation, and continuous monitoring and evaluation. Through this approach, organisations can improve control and visibility of risks faced in IT outsourcing. The results of this study indicate that implementing a comprehensive risk management policy not only strengthens information security but also improves the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes involving IT outsourcing. Hopefully, this proposed policy can provide practical guidance for organisations in managing risks and maximising the value of IT outsourcing.

Abstract

This research investigates carbon footprint optimisation strategies in the nickel-based industrial development at Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP), focusing on sustainable supply chain management practices. The study employs a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative analysis of carbon emissions data with qualitative assessment of supply chain processes. Through comprehensive data collection from 2019-2024 and analysis of multiple operational parameters, the research identified key optimisation opportunities across mining operations, processing plants, and transportation networks. Results indicate that implementing targeted optimisation strategies across the supply chain could reduce carbon emissions by 15-20% while maintaining production efficiency. Specific interventions, including waste heat recovery systems, fleet electrification, and smart logistics integration, demonstrated significant impact with potential annual savings of 87,500 tCO2e and $11.2 million in operational costs. The study also revealed that integrating sustainable practices led to an 18% improvement in production efficiency and a 12% enhancement in resource recovery rates. The findings contribute to the growing knowledge of sustainable industrial development in the mining and metallurgical sectors, offering practical insights for similar industrial parks globally. This research provides valuable frameworks for balancing environmental sustainability with industrial growth in emerging economies.

Abstract

An important factor in the success of a business is the performance of the promotion and marketing team. Management does everything to attract the attention and interest of potential buyers and also loyal customers. Digitalization and globalization have resulted in a massive number of producers, products and services. This study aims to analyze the influence of the variables perceived usefulness, facilitating conditions and subjective norms on the intention to subscribe to Netflix on-demand streaming service. The researcher conducted descriptive and verification analysis, where the researcher tested the effect of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The results of the analysis show that all independent variables have a positive effect on the dependent variable, namely the intention to subscribe. The researcher suggests that management continue to innovate Netflix services, be it the team's service in the field, good response from customer service and the quality of movies that continues to improve. This aims to create a good perception of the benefits of using Netflix services. The suggestion for the government is to continue to improve digital infrastructure to support the growth of digital-based businesses in Indonesia.
