Abstract

This study aims to analyze the importance of halal certification in international trade and its impact on product competitiveness in the global market. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study, which collects secondary data from various scientific journals, reports, and regulations related to halal certification. The results of the study indicate that halal certification not only functions as a guarantee of compliance with Islamic teachings, but also as an effective marketing tool that can increase product competitiveness in the international market. In addition, countries with strong halal certification systems, such as Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, have an advantage in expanding their market access, while other countries need to improve the quality and credibility of their halal certification systems to compete in an increasingly competitive global market.

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of the People's Palm Oil Replanting (PSR) program implemented by the Indonesian government as an effort to increase the productivity and welfare of oil palm farmers, especially in areas with unproductive oil palm plantations. This program provides financial assistance of IDR 30 million per hectare which is used to replace old oil palm plants with superior seeds that are more productive. This research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive research type. Primary sources focused on the Jaya Usaha Sempurna Producer Cooperative located in Mega Timur Village, Sui Ambawang District, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan, which is one of the legal farmer groups that received the assistance. This study aims to evaluate the PSR grant scheme received by the cooperative, analyze its impact on oil palm productivity, and identify challenges faced in implementing the program. The methodology used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies related to the PSR program. This study concludes that although the PSR program has shown positive results, improvements are still needed in the aspects of administration, extension, and coordination between related parties to optimize the benefits of the program for smallholder oil palm farmers

Abstract

This study aims to assess the impact of online trade through e-commerce and social commerce (s-commerce) on community empowerment and economic growth in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Primary data was obtained through in-depth interviews with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and users of e-commerce and s-commerce platforms. Meanwhile, secondary data was collected from various relevant reports, publications and studies on the digital economy in Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic approach to identify patterns, challenges, and opportunities in online trading activities. The results show that e-commerce and s-commerce contribute significantly to community empowerment through increased access to global markets, creation of new business opportunities, and increased income for SMEs. In addition, online commerce promotes economic inclusion by giving previously marginalized groups the opportunity to participate in the digital economy. However, challenges include limited internet access in remote areas, low digital literacy, data security risks, and digital inequality between regions. The implications of this research underscore the importance of policy interventions, such as equitable digital infrastructure development, digital skills training programs, and personal data protection, to ensure the sustainability and equitable distribution of digital economy benefits. This research contributes to understanding the dynamics of online commerce in Indonesia and offers recommendations for inclusive digital economy development.

Abstract

This research explores the relationship between employment and well-being through an in-depth literature review to understand the socioeconomic implications. Wellbeing in the workplace encompasses aspects of mental health, security, and rewards for work, all of which contribute significantly to employee productivity and satisfaction. The findings suggest that promoting well-being in the workplace can increase employees' contribution to the organization, reduce absenteeism and turnover, and support sustainable economic growth. In addition to the impact on individuals and organizations, workplace well-being also has far-reaching effects on society, such as reduced burden on public health systems and improved quality of life in working communities. Therefore, investing in employee well-being programs not only benefits companies but also advances overall socio-economic development. In conclusion, optimizing workplace well-being through inclusive and sustainable policies and practices is a strategic move that promotes social responsibility while creating a competitive advantage.
