Abstract

Steps to ensure food security in order to increase economic independence and competitiveness while maintaining national resilience are discussed in this article. Based on a literature review analysis, this study highlights Indonesia's agricultural policies and the country's need to control and develop sustainable food security plans due to its favorable position and wealth of natural resources. This study reveals that despite all the wealth that Indonesia has and the supporting factors that exist, it is not enough to become a strength in national food security. Therefore, to ensure national food security, unique planning and strategies are needed that support independence and healthy competition. Research findings show that sustainable food systems from upstream to downstream can be used to strategically achieve sustainable food security and increase national food supplies. Food independence is then achieved through achieving food diversity, which leads to achieving food security. Overall, the findings of this study underline the importance of supporting industries such as banks, universities, agricultural extension centers as supporting industries in the implementation and success of the national food security strategy.

Abstract

This article discusses the blessings of UMKM on the existence of "war takjil" in the month of Ramadan. Based on the analysis of literature review and interviews, this study sheds light on the positive impact of war takjil in the month of Ramadan. This study reveals that in war takjil activities or competition to get takjil between Muslims and non-Muslims is not only one of the activities to enliven Ramadan, but also one way to maintain tolerance between religious communities. The results show that UMKM traders feel the benefits and unique stories when selling takjil where the buyers are not only Muslims but from across religions. In this takjil war, there is excitement, one of which is the panic expression of potential buyers when their favorite food is almost sold out so that the person concerned is desperate to break through the queue. Overall, the findings of this study underline that this moment is also a place to joke and have fun together. Competition in tajkil hunting does not mean hostility, instead it fosters mutual respect between religious communities, and becomes one of the events to strengthen the bond of brotherhood.

Abstract

Dragon fruit downstreaming through farmer empowerment is one of the important strategies in increasing added value and competitiveness of agricultural products in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. This research aims to identify challenges and opportunities in the downstream process of dragon fruit through farmer empowerment by utilizing digital technology. This approach emphasizes the use of smart technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and automation to improve production efficiency, distribution, and market access for dragon fruit farmers. Through digitally integrated supply chain optimization, it is expected that farmers can be more empowered in managing crops, improving product quality, and expanding access to local and international markets. The results showed that with technological innovation, farmers have great potential to increase productivity and competitiveness of dragon fruit products in the global market. However, the implementation of this technology also faces challenges, especially in terms of farmers' digital literacy and technological infrastructure. Therefore, collaboration between the government, academia, and the private sector is needed to provide assistance and training to farmers in order to optimize the use of technology in the agricultural sector

Abstract

This study aims to assess the impact of online trade through e-commerce and social commerce (s-commerce) on community empowerment and economic growth in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Primary data was obtained through in-depth interviews with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and users of e-commerce and s-commerce platforms. Meanwhile, secondary data was collected from various relevant reports, publications and studies on the digital economy in Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic approach to identify patterns, challenges, and opportunities in online trading activities. The results show that e-commerce and s-commerce contribute significantly to community empowerment through increased access to global markets, creation of new business opportunities, and increased income for SMEs. In addition, online commerce promotes economic inclusion by giving previously marginalized groups the opportunity to participate in the digital economy. However, challenges include limited internet access in remote areas, low digital literacy, data security risks, and digital inequality between regions. The implications of this research underscore the importance of policy interventions, such as equitable digital infrastructure development, digital skills training programs, and personal data protection, to ensure the sustainability and equitable distribution of digital economy benefits. This research contributes to understanding the dynamics of online commerce in Indonesia and offers recommendations for inclusive digital economy development.
